《The Chronicle of a Witch》Chapter 2 Welcome to the World of Acrodia?

Mother Earth blessed all life equally. Without Mother Earth’s infinity love, we wouldn’t be able to live in a harsh environment. The warmth of the ground that Mother Earth gave was so comfortable. It was impossible for any living being to detach themselves from Mother Earth…
“What are you doing?” A certain Goddess disturbed my monologue.
“…I’m giving my thanks to Mother Earth,” I replied without moving my body.
“By lying on the ground and hugging it tightly?”
…I didn’t have enough energy to reply her, so I nodded. Yep, right now, I was hugging the ground because I wanted to be with Mother Earth a bit longer. After all, I was a filial child of Earth, unlike that Goddess.
“…you have Agoraphobia? Or is it Casadastraphobia?” The Goddess asked with stifled laughter.
“…hmph! What do you mean Agoraphobia or Casadastraphobia? Do you think I’m afraid of falling into the sky? Or do you think I’m afraid of open space? Don’t be a fool. I just don’t want to get up because I’m lazy!”
Yep, I definitely was not afraid of falling into the vast sky!
I wondered how those people live under this vast and limitless sky. I always stayed in my Dungeon, which naturally had a ceiling on top of it, so even if I fell to the sky, the ceiling would catch me, however, in an open sky like this…
“You are trembling and you said you are not afraid of open space? How about you prove it by standing here. Oh, and if you jump, you might fall upward, you know?” The silly Goddess tried to taunt me, but as a mature woman, I wouldn’t be easily taunted like that!
“No way! I’m too lazy to move! And I’m not trembling because of fear! It’s because of excitement! It’s been a long time since I smell grass like this! You won’t understand the feeling of someone who never sees greenery in a thousand years! And speaking of fear, why don’t you stop hugging your twin brother? I can see that you are trembling too! You can fool others, but you can’t fool…”
Alright, since I was slightly angry at her, I raised my voice and glared at her, only to see her hugging her brother tightly. As for her brother, even though his face was pale, he seemed calm enough to stand on the ground while being hugged by his twin sister.
Speaking of which, the reason why I stopped speaking was that I was surprised. The Goddess and God were shrunk in size!
I meant, the Goddess was a mature woman with big assets, and comparing her to an average human, she should be a little taller than them. However, in front of me right now were boy and girl around thirteen years old and if it were not for their clothes, I wouldn’t think that they were the twin God and Goddess!
“…you shrunk?” I asked bluntly.
“…you shrink too.” The Goddess replied bitterly.
I got up and looked at my hands… which were chubby and cute. Wait, I should use dainty here, not chubby and cute! But seriously, my hands, well, my fingers were not as long as it used to be, so I couldn’t use dainty here. And because they were shorter, they looked a little chubby here. Just a little, alright?

I touched my body… and noticed that even my assets were shrunk! I didn’t even have hourglass figures at the moment!
“…you don’t have anything to begin with.” The Goddess retorted annoyingly. I glared at her and she returned my glare while her brother smiled awkwardly. Without hesitation, I pounced at her and we fell to the ground. I didn’t have my usual strength, but surprisingly, she wasn’t as fierce as she used to be either.
After five minutes of rolling on the ground because of a silly catfight, both of us lied with our back on the ground. The sky was… alright, I turned around and stopped looking at the sky. It would increase my anxiety if I directly looked at the sky. I wondered why… I didn’t have this kind of problem when I was living on Earth.
“…did you use a forbidden Spell?” The silly Goddess abruptly asked. Forbidden Spell?
“Why would I use a forbidden Spell only for dealing with you? Besides, you know it yourself that my Spell wouldn’t be this amazing, right?” I replied, somehow sad when I was thinking about it. And seeing that she nodded, it made me even sadder.
It was true that my Spell was not amazing, despite the fact that I was a Witch, someone who should have high talent in Magic and Potion. My Potion making ability was passable, however, Magic was not my forte.
It was not that I couldn’t sense Magic Power, or Mana, in air. In fact, I could sense Mana just fine. Even more, I thought that my talent in sensing Mana was quite good, comparing to other people’s talent based on my memory.
However, using Magic and sensing Mana was two different things. If sensing Mana was like knowing the number, using Magic was using that Mana to do the calculation. And moreover, using Magic needed complex calculations, not the simple 1+1 calculation. If I had to make an analogy, perhaps using Magic was similar to doing integral equations or regression with mental calculation. If you could do it mentally, well, congratulation, you had the talent to be a Mage.
Naturally, what I said was the difficult Spell of a tier higher than 3-circle. As for 1-circle Spell, it was easy that I could do it instantly. After all, if we used the previous analogy, it was similar to a simple multiplication. That was how difficult to be a Mage really was, so it was understandable that I couldn’t use forbidden Spell which could be considered as Spell higher than 10-circle Spell. It was basically impossible for me to do that. No wonder in games, Mage Job needed a high Intelligence attribute…
Back to the main topic. Looking at my body and God’s and Goddess’s body, I believed it was the effect of a forbidden Spell. Moreover, it was a strong forbidden Spell that could even affect Gods and Goddesses like them. What kind of Spell was stronger than a forbidden Spell?
“…stop staring at me like that!” The Goddess snapped as I wondered who would be able to use this kind of Spell. Well, not exactly. I was staring at her who incessantly trying to fix her clothes, her oversized clothes, so it wouldn’t fall down. Heh, looking at her, I felt like looking at a loli wearing adult clothes.

“You are no different!” She said with her typical glare.
“…” Yep, I was trying to fix my clothes too, as it was a little bigger for me. Because of our fight earlier, my clothes almost fell from my shoulders. Fortunately, I was not as indecent as the Goddess beside me, whose clothes were so big, especially in her chest area… why would I make myself sadder by mentioning this?
“More importantly, what are we going to do? I can’t contact the other Gods and Goddesses.” The Goddess said suddenly as she turned around to look at her brother. He shook his head too. Wait, he could speak with the other Gods and Goddesses?
“No, first, where is this?” I asked as I looked around… naturally avoiding looking upward. We were in a glade inside a forest. There was a lake and a flower field nearby. It felt like we were in paradise. “…are we dead?” was not a question I would ask at this time.
“I don’t know, I can’t use my power at all. I don’t feel I can use any Magic or Divine Spell at the moment.” Both of them shook their head. Well, that was bad. I could sense Magic, but when I tried to use a Spell that I most familiar with, a weaker version of the Spell appeared. I tried to conjure a [Firebolt], but instead, a candle-like fire appeared. It was so weak that it barely lasted for three seconds. I wondered why?
Just as I was thinking, I saw something in the corner of my eyes. No, it wasn’t a Ghost. I tried to focus on them, but I couldn’t, as they always stayed on the peripheral side of my eyes.
“Hey, do you see what I see?” I asked the two of them. “In the corner of my eyes, something like… arrow was there. Oh, in the upper right corner, there are… bars of red and blue? I wonder what they are…”
“Ah! I see it too! What is this? I didn’t notice it!” The Goddess exclaimed in surprise as she turned her head left and right, seemingly tried to focus on that thing.
“I see it. Wait, there’s a letter below the bar! HP? MP? What are those?” The Goddess asked in surprise.
HP? MP? Why did I remember something from my old life?
[Welcome to the World of Acrodia!]
A sentence suddenly appeared in my eyes and looking at the other two’s expression, I knew they saw it too. Somehow, I had a bad feeling about it.
[In the past, eons ago, World of Acrodia was a peaceful land with fairies, elves, dwarves, humans, and other species lived peacefully. However, this peace was not fated to last eternally. A Demon Lord abruptly appeared and changed this peaceful land, into a land of despair. Parents lost their children, widows appeared more often, cities were burned every day, it was hell on Acrodia.]
Well, it was a typical introduction in games. Would they use cutscene to show an epic battle between good and evil? No, more importantly, what was happening to this world?
[Gods and Goddesses couldn’t see the mortal suffered like that, so they gave a part of their power to mortal and called them their Champion. Champions fought with all their might and finally, the last Demon Lord was defeated.]
Wow, I never thought that it would be a happy ending like this. So, what would be the Champions’ mission if the last Demon Lord was defeated?
[Peace came again. However, it fated not to last even longer than the previous time. The last Demon Lord cursed the world before she was defeated. Now, the cursed is activated and both the Gods and the Goddesses lost their power. Before they lost their power, however, they used the last shred of their power to open a portal to another world to call Heroes from another world. Now, then, Heroes, please stop the ambitious Demon Lord from creating another hell on Acrodia! Bring eternal peace to Acrodia!]
“…should I say that this story is too cliché?” I commented after no words appeared after a few seconds passed.
The Goddess nodded but shook her head afterward. “It’s a cliché but it is the true history of this world after all.”
The God nodded in agreement. He looked at me and opened his mouth, but no words coming out of his mouth. I wondered what he wanted to say, as he finally shook his head and decided to keep his silence.
This time, I opened my mouth, but before I could speak, another sentence appeared in my vision.
[Remember! The Demon Lords are evil beings! The last Demon Lord is the evilest being in the whole universe. Remember the name of the last Demon Lord! Remember her name! Fanarie D. Darriskha!!]
After reading it, I coughed incessantly. That was my name! That was definitely my full name!
I looked at the two of them who looked at me evilly. It seemed they thought that I was the cause of their loss of power. But I was innocent!
Fortunately, before they could make this day as my death anniversary day next year, another sentence that caused both of them to vomit blood appeared in our vision.
[Along with her subordinates, the traitor God of Thunder, Brian, and the traitor Goddess of Ice, Briana, she planned to destroy the whole multiverse as her revenge!]
…I don’t have that high ambition!
