《The Legendary Martial Artist: Failed Beta》Chapter1- In another world

When I woke up, I was in a bedroom lying uncomfortably on a mat. Standing on the side was an unfamiliar girl with long purple hair. She was dressed in something which looked like Chinese traditional attire. In her blue robe, she was closely the prettiest girl I saw in my life.
She was looking at me with a concerned gaze, increasing my confusion.
" you are finally awake," the girl said with a cold voice while her expression became stricter in the blink of an eye.
I wanted to tell something or rather I wanted to ask a question. My mind was still a mess though wandering in every direction.
But as soon as I opened my mouth I felt a sharp pain from my neck all the way to my chest.
Raising my head with difficulty, I could see that my chest area and my arms were bandaged with a sticky fabric. I could not even feel my feet which were resting under the quilt.
Seeing me pained, I saw the woman flinch, and her aloof expression crumbled. I was almost touched by her attention.
At that moment, the door of the room was forcefully slid open and a man came inside.
" you are really pathetic, chief Sun. You could not even kill an insignificant brat who is only at the intermediate stage of the body tempering.
Instead of our men dying and you were even crippled by him.
You are a waste of my Wen family resources." The man said arrogantly while looking at me in disgust and for a moment I thought that he was going to spit on me.
I rolled my eyes at him. I was still confused over my situation and was not going to waste my strength to tell him that he was talking to the wrong person. I was not the chief Sun they were talking about and if not for the pain across my body I would have already kicked his ass off. Or so I thought.

" shut Up Wen Tian! No one among us knew that the trash from the Jiang family was not a waste like the rumor said, but a martial artist at the intermediate stage of body tempering." The girl said, trying to defend me.
" Even then the chief Sun was a martial artist at the ninth level of body tempering. He was two stages ahead of the Jiang trash and was assisted by four fighters but he still lost and brought shame to the Wen family"
The girl's eyes wandered inside the room with doubt and visible on her face. It seemed like it was not normal to lose to someone at a lower stage.
" humph! Sooner or later, I am going to destroy that trash with my own hand" she said cruelly.
" what are you here for First Brother, don't tell me that you came all the way here just to mock him" she turned to face him disapprovingly.
I found it strange how I was able to understand her feeling. I had never been attentive to other people feeling but now I was reading her expression as tough as it was the most natural thing in the world.
" Father is calling for you. We are going to discuss how we will deal with the Jiang family" Wen Tian said seriously.
" I will come back later," the woman told me and the two left leaving me alone.
Before closing the door I saw the man grinning at me before mouthing the world trash.
I opened my mouth in a fit of anger before taking a deep breath because it was too difficult. At the sight of my pitiful self, he seemed pleased with himself.
But I was not reacting at his antics, I was just looking at the holographic window that had just appeared in front of me and that apparently no one other than me could see.

It was a character sheet just like in a video game.
It instantly struck me. If It was not an elaborate prank involving a fortune and amazing actors, there was a possibility that had transmigrated to another world. It could also mean that something went wrong during the beta test that I was supposed to conduct.
In fact, my last memory was exactly that of me conducting a beta test of a VR game with a heavy sci ft element.
" log out", "exit", " sortie", "arrêt", I said repeatedly trying to stop the game.
Unsurprisingly nothing happened, even worst was the fact that the world around me felt too real to disappear with a tough.
" guess, I really transmigrated " I whispered to myself feeling the burning pain from my vocal chord before looking at the character sheet.
I could conclude that I had taken over the body of an Unfortunate man named Sun Chen. He was a crippled martial artist and his stat was naturally pretty low. His crippled statute also made further progress much difficult.
But the most surprising thing remained the dialogue box around me.
Do you wish to unseal Sun Chen's memories?
Yes No
I was in an unfamiliar and perhaps dangerous world, injured and unable to move. It seemed like someone had almost killed me and none of the people that I saw since I woke up seemed safe.
" It can not be worst" I tough internally before selecting "Yes".
The next moment I regretted my decision letting a heart-wrenching cry as years of unfamiliar memories were inserted forcefully in my brain for what seemed like an eternity. When the process ended I was covered in sweat and weakly closed my eyes before drifting into sleep.
I could still feel the copper taste of the blood in my mouth from the wounds in my throat that were reopened.
