Research Number 5 – Jobs, Hobbies, Exclusive Skills & Items

Hey guys, its me again!

I know you already read the title!

Yes, I interviewed a bunch of people and some of them are really interesting bunch. It was fun.

And of course, thank you very much for all the players who share their information for my research. I really appreciate it.

Alright! Without further ado, here's the result!

▼Job

You can get Job by certain NPC or Quest. Of course you can choose to be jobless. However, your stats will hardly raise. Because by having a job, your certain stats will be harshly raised. Also, you get free job skills!

Basic Class → Possible Advanced Jobs

Warrior → Slayer/Berserker/Samurai/Strider/Lancer

Knight → Paladin/Avenger/Defender/Guardian

Archer → Balister/Ranger/Trickster/Marksman

Rogue → Assassin/Thief/Scavenger/Raider

Healer → Witch Doctor/Light Bearer/Hierophant/Priest

Mystic → Invoker/Wizard/Witch/Mage/Sorcerer

Bard → Maestro/Spell Singer/Minstrel

Enchanter → Shaman/Seer/Voodoo/Warcryer

Fighter → Master/Brawler/Champion

Artisan → Smith/Alchemist/Sculptor/Taylor

Summoner → Beast Master/Monster Tamer/Spirit Whisper

Note: Some jobs are exclusive to certain races. So, your character race also decide what kind of job you can get.

These below are official announced rare jobs by the devs. Some players actually have some of these jobs. If you believe you are a main character, then go for it!

▼Rare Job

Summoner → Dragon Tamer

Mystic/Summoner/Enchanter → Dark Magician/Necromancer/Warlock

Warrior → Warlord/Titan

Archer → Sniper/Sharpshooter

Rogue → Ninja/Shadow Lurker

Mystic/Warrior → Sword Mage

My Theory:

It seems the key to get unique job is skills and stats. For example, imagine a knight with high STR instead of VIT. Moreover, it also has destructive skills. It could be like Chaos Knight, right? These jobs below are just my hypothesis. It's just a theory.

- Chaos Knight (High STR Knight)

- Blood Knight (Lifesteal Knight)

- Sigil Knight (Magic Knight)

- Idol (Bard Dancer)

- Etc.

It also could be because of our character's hobby which have various combination of skills. It was depending on the skills after all. For Example:

- Bard with Dancer hobby might become Idol

- Alchemist with Cook hobby might become Exterminator

- Paladin with Phoenix summon might become Phoenix Knight

- Etc.

Also there is an important note to keep in mind:

Job outside Summoner can only have one summon so far. The summon skill also can be obtained by certain quest or NPC. However, it's almost impossible to learn it. If you want an easy way, then go for having a pet instead. Even though it will rob your money, but it's worth it if you have what you wanted, right?

▼Hobby

Now we're moving to hobby. Just like job, we can get hobby through certain NPC or Quest.

These below are official announced hobbies from the developers.

Hobby → Possible Advanced Hobbies

Cook → Chef

Trader → Merchant

Gatherer →Harvester/Botanist/Farmer

Tracker → Seeker/Navigator

Fisher → Fish Master

Dancer → Dancing King/Dancing Queen/Street Dancer

Writer → Journalist/Historian

The devs said that there's countless possible jobs and, of course, it's also the same for hobbies. I think I will make another thread for them later. For this thread, it's just an introduction and basic content. Also, this could be a guide for new players.

Okay, now let's see what kind of skills that the announced hobbies have.

Hobby – Acquired Skills = Example

Cook – Cooking Skills = Making Food

Trader – Trading Skills = Expand bag/Discount

Gatherer – Forage Skills = Forage/Harvest

Tracker – Radar/Detection Skills = Point location

Fisher – Fishing Skills = Fishing

Dancer – Movement skills = Evasive moves

Writer – Literature Skills = Learning language/Making Map or Scroll

Note: There could be rare hobbies out there. The devs haven't said anything about it yet. But if there are rare jobs, there should be rare hobbies right?

▼Exclusive Skills & Items

It's an exclusive skill & Item for certain jobs which need certain requirements to acquire them. It's not impossible to get them, though the skill may be really hard to raise. But if you want some, then go for these jobs below.

Job/Hobby – Exclusive Skills & Items

Miner/Smith/Mystic – Appraisal (Identify Unidentified Equipment, Mining Materials, Minerals, or Gems)

Summoner – Bestiary (Book with Collection of Monsters)

Gatherer/Alchemist – Herbarium (Book with Collection of Plants)

Note: For Bestiary, only tamed monsters data are written in the book. You know what I mean, right? One famous game does this kind of thing!

It's the same for Herbarium, collected plants will be automatically written its data in the book.

Also, once again... Please keep it mind that these skills and items need certain requirements. It might be hard to get them, but it's still worth it!

Jobs: I already have a thought in the variety of job/class but I never expected to be this big. It makes me wanna try every job/class.

Hobbies: This. This is a well managed system. Every Hobby needs each other and that is really important. Good job for Devs.

Thought: This game is pretty balanced to me. If not, then there must be someone who rants in the comment somewhere. But I think there shouldn't be one. Kojima is a gaming god after all.

Well if we talk about J.R.R. Tolkien's world, Elf has many tribes. Though, in most stories, Dark Elf is indeed from Elven race. To put it simply, the Elf had two different ideologies and later they were separated into two groups. One group kept doing what their ancestors did but not for the other group. They sought power instead. And then that led them to learn about dark arts. Their research came to a fruition and later their looks becomes different. Eventually, they are being called Dark Elf.
