《A Past Life Of A Vampire Lord》Chapter 2: A Princess and Seer Claims

“Yes… yes.” Her expression firmed a little once her eyes stopped flickering. “You have a heart made of gold and sacrificed yourself for the better of the world?”
The idea that me… this old Vampire Lord had a heart and was even made of gold? Her words made me chuckle. Before I knew it, it didn’t take too long for it to break off into laughter that echoed and rang in the deserted manor.
If there was any creature lingering outside of the manor, they would have fled and flew away in fright because it was laughter from a being of nightmare and shadows. A real life monster in the flesh and yet this woman before me was a fool.
"Hah, I didn't expect you to appeal to my emotions and for mercy." I stared down at the woman. My eyes lit up in amusement as I glanced at the still fallen Rose. "I believe your friend has a better head on her shoulders and she mistakenly chose to attack me."
"I am a Seer." the woman spoke at last and gestured to herself as she bit her lip hesitantly. "My name is Princess Eleanor of the Averon Family and I can see that beneath this form of yours, you have a heart dormant that is just waiting to be remembered. In another time you would have helped us and we would have already been long gone."
Seer?
What a nasty being.
I probably… should have guessed this much when I saw the insistent eye twitching as if she was flickering through various scenarios in her mind.
But the fact that she claimed that I had a heart made me disbelieve every word that she said. My reputation was already accumulated long ago and it was already decided that I was a power-hungry Blood Tyrant.

If not for my abrupt decision to go to Eternal Sleep then it wouldn’t have been odd if I already had dominion over the entire world.
… Well, it would be a tad harder with similar beings like me, but there was no doubt a sizable foothold that I would have conquered.
Nonetheless, this Seer must have seen someone else’s life and not mine because this Vampire Lord had rampaged across the world and never once cared about anyone else. It seemed like she was an incapable Seer.
"You need to get your eyes checked with a doctor..." I scoffed and then paused for a moment at my choice of words. "A doctor?"
Princess Eleanor blinked and looked dumbfounded for a moment but suddenly her pale blue eyes flickered and she said, "It seems like fate has led us here for a reason and it is because I can lend aid to you, Lord Blackwell."
This woman thought she could offer me help? Even more impossible.
What did she know?
The strange dream suddenly flickered back in my mind and it caused an agonizing weight upon my being.
Grimacing, my head throbbed with a sudden pain. I gritted my teeth at the long forgotten sensation and fixated a stare on the woman.
She had already started to cause me trouble by just speaking. I did not want any of this!
I glared at her. "I do not need the help of anyone, depart you cursed thing."
If being born a Vampire was enough to garner hatred from several other kinds, this woman before me was nothing more but one of those individuals that created larger strides.
They could destroy kingdoms and bring them to low with their presence alone, or do the exact opposite and bring a fallen kingdom and usher them to a golden age.

Words of prophecy tore through great kings and even beggars alike.
Eleanor's expression became firm and she gestured to the golden chains.
I didn't know how she had done such a thing with her blindness. If I believed everything she said about her Seer skills, perhaps in another time, she fell down and picked them up.
"This… I believe the Golden Order has once sealed this land and tried to prevent you from awakening again but you still escaped," Eleanor said.
My lips pressed thin for a moment. "Golden Order? Why does that sound familiar… ah, that small group. It consisted of that obnoxious lady, not unlike your friend. That paladin lady once stabbed me through the chest."
Eleanor shook her head. "You are now outdated. This is the greatest Paladin Order in this current age, Lord Blackwell."
“If they truly are great then they would have done a better job at sealing me.” I scoffed. “It seems they have taken advantage of the fact that I chose to go to Eternal Sleep and attempted to keep me locked in here. Pitiful. Greatest in this age or not, they are still weak in my eyes.”
The princess visibly hesitated for a moment and I did not miss that expression on her face. I frowned hard and tried to make her talk, but being blind meant she missed the facial expression completely.
I sighed. “What is that look on your face for?”
Eleanor blinked and then touched her face. “I… I do not know.”
Frowning at the way her gentle hand helplessly touched her cheek, I clicked my tongue. “Do not play charades with me, woman. What makes you think the opposite of what I have said? Speak up or I will make you swallow your tongue whole.”
“Perhaps you have been forgotten and your presence has been lost to age and time,” Eleanor said in a hushed tone. She didn’t want to offend me, but her mere presence did just that. “If they saw you as a threat then they would have stationed countless Paladins here to ensure that you never awoke.”
My gaze narrowed at her. “Or it was a case of oversight. Records lost to time and important people dying and not being able to relay my presence… that is normal. Considering otherwise is simply…”
I did not finish my sentence as my head lowered idly to avoid the [Wind Scythe] attached to Rose’s arms. The woman had taken advantage of my conversation with the Princess and chose to attack me once again fruitlessly.
It started to get old fast.

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Well, but I'm just an enchanter with a secondary illusion skill tree. In other words, I'm totally dependent on my guild. But since thanks to this guild I could play the way I wish I don't mind.
