《Lemillion In The MCU》Chapter 27 - Battle of New York XI
Advertisement
All of the Avengers were gathered in one place, facing the threat of an Alien Invasion without flinching…
Each ready to give their lives, not for a country, or wealth, or recognition, but in defense of the planet, itself…
Asgardian God stood shoulder to shoulder with Billionaire Tech Genius…
Super Soldier stood shoulder to soldier with an assassin who had taken many innocents lives…
SHIELD Agent stood shoulder to shoulder with a green experiment of rage gone wrong…
And all of them stood shoulder to shoulder with someone who was not even from the same Universe as them…
The Avengers was probably the most diverse group on the Earth at that moment…
“Do you think you can really close the portal?” Natasha questioned Mirio…
“Yes… I can… I guarantee it…” Mirio replied, more optimism than anything…
“Okay…” Steve shouted, and raised his shield “Avengers A-”
“Wait!” Thor’s booming voice cut through the moment that would commence the mission “My hammer senses magic at play…”
Clint was the first to react, kicking Mirio off his feet just in time for the unsuspecting Lemillion to avoid an energy blast from seemingly nowhere…
Loki had camouflaged himself a couple of feet away…
Before Loki could try for another attempt at Mirio’s life, a shield bashed into his face…
The next second, a thin, metal wire was wrapped around Loki’s neck as Natasha had suddenly appeared around his shoulders, trying to behead the God of Mischief with instincts she had long suppressed…
Natasha’s wire was almost successful, but Loki created duplicates that switched his position immediately, and Natasha beheaded the illusion…
Thor slammed Mjolnir against the ground, sending a shockwave that sent Loki spiralling away…
The God of Thunder directed the blast to Loki alone, careful not to implicate Natasha in the attack…
Still, Tony was not about to let Loki go free…
Before The God of Mischief could pull another disappearing trick, Tony’s Arc Reactor at the center of his chest charged, and sent a beam that blasted Loki in the face…
Repulsor Beams burned hotter than lava, so Tony was confident that even Asgardian skin took some damage from that blast…
However, causing Loki injury meant that he revaluated their threat levels in his heart, and called for more reinforcements…
As Loki disappeared from sight, once again hiding, Dozens of Chitauri Whales exited the portal accompanied by hundreds of Chitauri Chariots…
Natasha looked at the new force of Chitauri Soldiers and reloaded her gun, ensuring she had a bullet for each Chitauri that came her way…
“Time to call it, Cap…” Tony urged, scanning the area to make sure Loki was truly gone…
Mirio hopped back to his feet, and The Avengers gathered once more…

Steve started to issue orders like the tactical genius he is “Barton, I need you atop the buildings… you will pick off anything that flies too high or goes too far…”
“Widow… you will be escorting Mirio to the tower… if we can’t think of a new plan by the time you get there, Mirio will do what needs to be done…”
“Stark, you are responsible for the perimeter… anything that goes beyond three blocks, you turn it back or turn it into dust... also, keep trying to think of a way to close the portal with minimal risk to Mirio…”
“Thor, you bottleneck the portal and draw attention to yourself… keep eyes on you and away from Mirio and Natasha…”
Finally, Steve turned to Hulk and paused, thinking about a simple but effective task for the green giant “Hulk, just SMASH!”
“And what will you be doing?” Clint questioned, selecting a building to aim his arrow…
Steve frowned and flexed his arms a bit “I will be using my full strength for a while…”
“Wait… you haven’t been doing your best?” Stark questioned, “We are all here busting our asses…”
“Widow doesn’t use all her killer techniques when she fights… Clint doesn’t fill his arrows with a fusion reactor even though Fury would be glad to do it… Stark, you have far more lethal weapons you can include in your armor, but you don’t… we are all holding back in our own way…”
“What about him?” Mirio asked, pointing at Hulk “How does he hold back?”
“He is-” Clint giggled “A very special case…”
“Avengers… ASSEMBLE!” Steve yelled and everyone leaped into action to perform their respective duties…

STEVE RODGERS (CAPTAIN AMERICA)
The ground beneath Steve’s feet cracked and he tossed his shield with such power that it cut through the wind with a whistling sound…
The Shield cut through Chitauri Elites like nothing, then bounced on a wall and rocketed back to Steve’s hands…
Steve sped towards his incoming shield and leaped into the air, grabbing a Chitauri Soldier flying on a Chariot with his bare hands…
Just as Steve was about to fall to the ground, his foot stepped on the incoming shield, pushing himself up while sending the shield downwards…
Once again, Steve grabbed a Chitauri Chariot and pulled it into his knee, shattering whatever driving mechanism existed…
Steve’s shield bounced on the ground and back into his hands as he was falling from the air…
Using the shield as a landing platform, Steve dampened his fall and rolled… dashing forward for the next Chitauri Soldier in need of defeat…
Though, he was more exhausted than he had been the entire battle, so clearly, performing those physical feats went a bit above what he was used to…

TONY STARK (IRON MAN)
Tony’s repulsors flared and he sped into the skies…
With the assistance of his personal AI, Jervis, Tony was able to coordinate his efforts with the state-of-the-art Stark Satellite in space…
Clusters of Chitauri Chariots were destroyed before they could even retaliate…
With masterful flight techniques, Tony spun and made sharp turns, destroying Chitauri Chariots left and right, between crevices and through windows…
Even the Elites that clung to buildings were not spared from his targeting systems…
---BOOOOM---
Tony broke into a skyscraper through the window, cutting power to his repulsors, he slid across the office…
Crossing his arms, two lasers cut through the Chitauri Elites that were waiting in ambush…
Without missing a beat, Tony aimed his repulsors to the floor above and blasted, destroying the Chitauri Soldiers hiding on the top floor…
“Heavy…” Tony muttered, running across the floor and jumping out the window…
Most people thought that the Iron Man suit was always convenient but the truth of the matter was, the suit was very difficult to operate and required considerable muscle strength…
Tony’s repulsors kicked in, and he flew along the perimeter once more, destroying Chitauri where he saw them, which was everywhere…
-----------------------
CLINT BARTON (HAWKEYE)
---PEW---
Clint’s arrow traveled hundreds of meters in the air, piercing through the concrete roof of a nearby skyscraper…
His body was soon yanked upwards behind the arrow, running on the wall briefly before he flipped and landed on the roof…
Still, he was far from finished…
Clint tapped his feet against the ground a couple of times until his boots clicked, shifting the soles to something narrower, and more fit for his next plan…
Placing three arrows in his bow, Clint aimed at three Skyscrapers in his sights and launched, creating a network of cables that connected four buildings…
Without any hesitation, Clint ran to the edge of the building and leaped off, flipping twice and landing precisely on one of the cable wires he had established just moments ago…
His boots clicked and interlocked with the cable…
Clint slid from one connected cable to the next, firing arrows and killing Chitauri Chariots as fast as he could…
When one cable was besieged, Clint slid to the end and hopped on the building’s roof, then flipped and landed on another cable…
Using his superior skills, Clint was able to keep the skies clear for dozens of blocks without doing anything beyond his normal ability as a human…
And of course, some mad balancing skills…
--------------------
THOR ODINSON
Thor spun his hammer and tossed it down the street, clearing away all the rubble just enough for a car to drive through…
When the street was cleared, Thor spun his hammer and launched himself in the air…
Lightning trailed behind as Thor made his way to the Stark Tower, smashing any and everything that blocked his path…
Within a couple of seconds, Thor was already at the Stark Tower, pitched at the very top, just above the portal emitter…
Thor called down lightning to blast the device but it didn’t have any effect, and he didn’t expect it to…
He was merely testing his luck…
Then, Thor turned his attention to the portal overhead and call upon the lightning once more, charging his body full of it…
Every time his body was charged with the lightning, Thor could feel connected to the storm inside Mjolnir – a storm that would have destroyed Asgard without Odin’s intervention…
“For ASGARD!” Thor yelled, and channeled all the lightning inside his body into the skies, amplifying it and adding a bit of divinity…
The lightning spread far and wide, becoming more destructive the longer it stayed active… every Chitauri coming through the portal was reduced to dust instantaneously…
Keeping the lightning active was draining on Thor’s stamina, but the thunder was also a key part of his divinity, so he gathered the clouds together and forced them to grind against each other…
---BOOM---BOOOM---BOOOOM---
The Chitauri that weren’t affected by the lightning storm, were instead stunned into powerlessness by the booming thunder that echoed across the skies…
-------------------------
BRUCE BANNER (THE HULK)
Given the order to smash, Hulk did exactly that…
The ever-growing rage in his heart was enhanced and with one giant leap, the green monster had already sunk his hand into a Chitauri Chariot…
Not stopping with just one, Hulk leaped to the nearest building, grabbing and smashing Chitauri Chariots as they came…
There was no mercy and no hesitance in his eyes…
Smashing things was supposed to make him happy, but the more he smashed, the more Hulk realized that he just got angrier and angrier…
It got to the point that… with a clap of his hand, a shockwave boomed rivaling Thor’s thunder…
“Puny God of Thunder!” Hulk shouted, recalling how Thor had punched him in the face a couple of hours ago…
And, of course, the green monster returned his depths tenfold…
Hulk smashed into the ground, destroying the street with eight hundred pounds of muscle, and nine feet in height…
His height ensured that he towers over everyone in battle, even the seven-foot Asgardian named Thor…
“HULK SMASH!” He yelled and leaped into the skies once more…
There was a lot of smashing left to be done…
