"Tama! Don't forget to fly back before lunch time!" a silver dragon shouted towards me.
"Yes mom!" she is such worrywart.
It's been 3 years since I was born.
A lot of things changed. First things first, it would be my pet name. Since I was 1, my mother and grandmother decided to use my pet name.

I also found out that my grandpa is a bit extreme, at least when it comes to combat. Why would you ask? Well, he does have a baby dragon-sized armor.
He laughed that it was mother's. Just what kind of childhood you had mother?
The best part of his training was... that grandma was always watching. Because of her, he was forced to only visually demonstrate the techniques. I also found out why grandpa can't disobey my grandma. It's simple, he can't beat her.
When it comes to magic, my grandma is one of the 10 great elders. She excels in magic. Even if he tried, grandpa with just his wind magic can't win against her. Good job grandma!
As for me, I have the same wind magic aptitude as my mother and grandpa, and life magic aptitude as my grandma. As for what life magic is? It's a rare type of magic.
This world has 4 main types of magic: earth, wind, fire and water corresponding to their nature. When it comes to rare cases, there are only 2 special types of magic. Life and death magic. They are special, because they can be only inherited through bloodlines.
If a non-nobleborn dragon awakens them, it gets the rights to marry into a noble household. This was also the case for my grandma.
When it comes to special magic, if what grandma told me is true, the life magic expends the temporary life force of its caster. The older the caster, the more temporary life force he can muster.

As for death magic, it's the opposite. It doesn't expends the temporary life force of its caster, but its target. If the life force threshold is exceeded, the target can even lose his life.
From the stories grandpa told me, Death magic was also the catalyst for the great war. Powerful demons tried to steal the life force of all the living beings, to summon their god. It took a lot of sacrifices to stop them.
Because of it, a lot of life magic users died. He then reassured me, that even if there was someone targeting me because of my life magic, he would not hesitate to destroy him. Despite being a musclehead, he's really a great grandfather!
It also took me 2 years to do my first human form transformation. At first, I was bad at it.
Me...who still have some memories of my past life...who was once a human, failed at transforming into one.
It took me 3 weeks to get it right!
As for other things... Oh! I also made a friend! Yes, me of all the dragons.
Her name is Aurora, a dark green scaled dragon.
She is a bit clumsy, but I like her a lot. We always made a lot of mess when we were playing. Most of the time it was at Big sis Ephi's place. Even though she got really angry, she didn't forbid us from playing there. She's vulnerable towards our cute faces after all.
Aurora and I are like two sisters. I'm the big sister though, since she is 2 weeks younger. Well, not that it matters to us. Dragons at first grow quickly, then they slowly mature.
Because of it, I'm already 3 times larger than when I came on the island.
Right now, I'm flying towards the eastern shore to play. It's well known spot for young and baby dragons. Even my mother took me here a few times before. There is a forrest with thick trees nearby, where you can play hide and seek. Well, dragon hide and seek is a bit different thanks to our sharp senses.

"Aurora!" landing near the shore, I shouted. Nothing happened. After looking around, I still couldn't find her, so I decided to walk towards the forest.
It was right then "Waaah, Tama!"
Startling me, Aurora appeared. She may be clumsy, but she's really talented when it comes to magic.
"Didn't I tell you not to erase your pressence!?" I tried to play it cool, despite getting startled.
"But you were late!" making objection, she puffed. Yeah, even dragons can puff their cheeks.
"Anyway, I have the time only until dinner..." I stated to remind her our original plan.
"Then we should get going! Big sis Ephi said that she prepared a lot of sweets today." turning towards one of the big mansions, we flew.
