Objects may be inscribed with runes which, when ki is funneled through them, may have certain effects. These runes may be described as the 2D/3D representation of the 4D spiritual technique

Capacity of a ki used in a rune is determined by among other things: (a) Material inscribed object; and (b) Quality of the inscribed rune

When connection is broken, the remaining ki will continue to flow through (a few seconds at most) or will reverse and come out the other end (also a few seconds at most)

No independent ki batteries, so runes must always be actively powered, though an advanced spiritualist need not be in physical contact to do so.

Accessories

Inscribed objects are often used for many mundane uses, and may colloquially be referred to as accessories. Such mundane objects include:

Fire starter Bottomless water flask Lantern/torch? Cold weather heater Hot weather cooler Proximity detector (mostly useless with spiritual sense) Impossible accessories Fireball grenades (loses ki when thrown) Caveat-- you can take an engraved object, fill it with ki and then throw it, but it'll blow out all of its ki very quickly. Both makes it fairly short range, dangerous to the user, and expensive Smithing

A weapon smith who forges a weapon while channeling ki through the happen will hone the metal itself in such a way that ki more readily flows through it with greater volume and precision. Great weapon smith will, when forging a custom order, imitate the ki of the owner to enhance its own power. But, a smith's own weapon are the greatest in the world.

Weapons may be inscribed in various ways. This include enhancing the channeling of attuned ki of certain types.

Additionally, though there are no ki batteries which may be used to empower runes, an inscribed object may be charged with ki and, provided such object remains in contact/proximity with its owner, may function as an additional store of ki for the owner
