In Blood Witch's worst nightmares, she has died by the grey matter. Sometimes, she even thought someone would kill her by devouring her blood and flesh just like how she has done to others. For her, that would be an ironic but a poetic death.

After the arrival of Celestial Tribulation, she thought she would die by the strange lightning. If she survived then she would slowly die due to the poisoning effect of devouring Skyrise Emperor and others forcefully.

Not once she thought she would die of suffocation.

How could she ever think she would die due to lack of oxygen? A cultivator of her power can survive years without oxygen, but now the presence of the illusory tree has changed the very structure of the world. Now she could no longer survive without breathing.

The tree even took her right to breathe! It was like the tree felt it was an insult for a person like her to breathe!

The lack of oxygen leads to the death of brain cells at a very fast rate. Blood Witch's eyes were completely bloodshot and there was not a single hint of color on her face.

In the distant past, Blood Witch has extreme confidence in her blood abilities. She was given the title of Blood Witch due to her utmost superiority in blood. For her blood was the absolute strength. This was also why she was able to survive even though she was affected by the grey matter a million years ago. The grey matter was something which would corrode the body and the soul. There was no chance if reincarnation if one dies through the grey matter!

Yet Blood Witch survived when people far stronger than she died. While the Demon Extermination didn't take her seriously the other reason for her survival was her blood abilities!

For her blood was the ultimate blessing. She was the Queen of Blood.

Now the same blood was turning into a poison inside her due to the lack of oxygen. She was clutching her neck in horror with every passing second. Her skin color was changing to blue.

She was sweating badly with every passing second her heart rate getting out of control. Without oxygen, her brain, liver, and other organs were undergoing permanent damage.

She was feeling as if a vise is squeezing her chest. A pain so unbearable as if a mountain was placed on her heart.

As death approached her she became muddle-headed due to the lack of oxygen available to her brain. She has forgotten about her heaven-defying powers and her unfathomable status in the Endless Continent. She has forgotten everything but the pain she was feeling as she tried to grasp for air.

And she died...

In the past, she was able to escape alive from the clutches of Demon Extermination! She has even survived thousands of years as a lonely soul as she reconstructed her body. Her schemes made it possible for her to make Skyrise Emperor as his slave for regenerating her body.

She has killed millions of people but even in the worst nightmare, she couldn't think she would die due to a tree! A tree which felt she didn't deserve to breathe in its holy presence!

There was no heaven-shaking battle or any insult at the final moments. She died as insignificant death as an insect die when a man steps on it. A totally meaningless death. Perhaps for someone like her, this was the most shameful death.

Her corpse fell down on the ground with her last facial expression being that of fear.

Lin Li didn't know the identity of Blood Witch but she was extremely sure the woman was extremely powerful. Otherwise, how could she be the only person alive on the imperial palace island? The island was full of ruins and corpses.

She even saw the corpse of Skyrise Emperor. For Lin Li, Skyrise Emperor was the strongest person out there. But yet he died while the woman survived. She could have lived if the tree didn't interfere!

Lin Li didn't dare ask the tree why it killed the woman but she has some ideas.

Lin Li did initially felt fear when she saw the tree, but then she thought the tree was a part of her son and his bead. Or maybe it was opposite. She wasn't sure. The one thing she knew for sure was that the tree held no ill intention towards her and Zhen Han. The tree even asked her why she would beg when she could command!

"That woman is pitiful. For such a powerful person to die in such an insignificant way..." Lin Li felt pity for the woman.

"Humans step on ants thinking lives of ants are insignificant. But what makes the humans believe their lives are significant? For a higher form of life, humans are also ants. The cycle goes on in a similar fashion without an end. In the end, everyone dies an insignificant death no matter how they try to glorify their death," the tree said.
