《Summoned and Unwanted》Chapter 203 - Planning for a quest and harem activities

"I... I will ask first if a woman can join our family. My council of women will have the final say. Furthermore, I will always have time for both of you." Vincent said his case, but if will it be accepted or denied, he couldn't tell. Ester, "You mean what you say?" Lupa, "Anytime?" "Yes, I agree. And as for you, my little wolf. Only at the right time." Vincent accepted the agreement. Then he got up and asked for help. Vincent didn't feel as embarrassed as before to bare his naked skin in front of his girls. Similarly, Ester didn't mind as much to look and help while Lupa acted like the usual Lupa without feeling any shame. A while later, they left the inn and started heading to the Adventurers Guild. Vincent felt as if the two behind him wanted to say something. [Let me give you a tip since I'm magnanimous. How about taking a quest? You and your harem can stay in the forest for a few days while enjoying the company of your harem? Think of it as a honeymoon or a holiday job of sorts.] -Good idea.- Vincent stopped walking and turned around. He saw Ester looking at him with her fingers nervously holding each other. Beside her was Lupa with an expression saying, 'I want something.' "I was thinking. How about we look at some gathering quests and enjoy a few days in the forest by ourselves? You know, like how we did before coming here. I want to take it easy since the wounds on my shoulder almost opened up, ahem, last night." Vincent suggested. Lupa became excited and cheerfully said, "Yey! A few days without that sly fox!" Lupa then glanced at both Vincent and Ester while adding, "Hehe, a few days with the right time is all mine." "I'm fine with that." Ester tried her best not to remain shy about this subject. She started to appear more mature and different from the cute and nervous of the previous day to a cute and reliable Ester. *Adventurer's Guildhall* Vincent, Ester, and Lupa entered the guildhall. Not many adventurers were taking a meal or looking at quests. It felt like the situation settled, and the adventuring life returned to normal. "I can't see that woman. Did she run away?" Lupa asked after the lustful receptionist girl wasn't there. "Is that Beatrix behind the receptionist desk? What is she doing there?" Ester saw the troublesome Beatrix in the same place where a receptionist girl would be. [I have a bad feeling about this. Beatrix is looking at us as if she wants to talk to us, yet it's as if her feet are glued to the floor.] "Vincent, over here!" Beatrix broke character and waved at him to approach. [Yep... I think she is working here in the place of the previous lustful woman.] *Sigh* Vincent sighed and decided to approach Beatrix. Vincent wasn't too eager to find what Beatrix wants, but maybe she knew what happened to the previous worker. Vincent, Ester, and Lupa had some unfinished business with the previous receptionist girl. "Ahem, fine day, Promise Maker. This Heroine simply wanted to say hi, but thou approached first." Beatrix suddenly greeted. Vincent frowned at the nickname. "Why did you call me Promise Maker? Also, why are you behind the desk? Are you working here?" He asked. "Thou is the Promise Maker as thou finish quests with a promise. This Heroine chose to help adventurers in need to tread the path of virtue. Thus, this Heroine has become the Heroine Receptionist from this day onwards." Beatrix explained. She became the next problematic receptionist girl. Vincent understood the gist of the situation. However, Beatrix was in a team with her siblings and cousins, so the problems shouldn't be enormous enough to cause their team to disband as they looked like good people from the two times they met. "What about your team? Has your team disbanded?" Vincent decided to ask out of curiosity. "Mine team took a break for a brief moment. Gevan begged this Heroine to grant this place with mine presence because the last employee was fired for her wicked behavior. Hmm, it appears that Gevan knows of mine might and mine divine basilisk's vigilant gaze." Beatrix slightly answered some of Vincent's questions. [I want to slap Beatrix sometimes, but I don't have hands... please finish quickly as I find her annoying. I'm not too fond of those that are too hard-headed to make them see our way.] Lupa finished looking around and twitching her nose to attempt to pick a scent of the previous receptionist girl, but it was for naught. "Human with snake, do you know where the other human lives? I want to punch her." She asked. "*Hiss* Peepee is not~a snake. Peepee is~a divine basalisk~a * Hiss*" The vigor snake Peepee became angry for being addressed so rudely. "I'm sorry, but forget what my sister said. We don't want to look for trouble if she isn't here. " Ester appointed while lightly pulling Lupa's ear. "Ahem, where was I. What are your brothers and cousins doing?" Vincent asked again. "Honorable brother Ollie has found a teacher to train him. Honorable brother Belowin is working as a librarian nearby. Cousin Abigail and cousin Bartholomew are taking light quests and help this Heroine to cleanse the wicked people. " Beatrix finally answered Vincent. [This is an intriguing development. It seems Ollie has found someone to help him become stronger after helping him Awaken.] [We missed Belowin by a few days in the only book shop in the south side middle district.] [The other two siblings, Abigail and Bartholomew, are taking short quests and babysit Beatrix in the afternoon.] [Hmm, so basically, the Adventurers Guild babysits Beatrix in the morning by giving her work with the proposition of helping the people from straying to the path of evil. Then, in the afternoon, her cousins babysit the troublesome self-proclaimed Heroine.] -Thanks for the long summery, Kazumi.- "Keep up the good work, Heroine. We will take our leave and take a look at what the people need. We will meet again after... ahem, after this Promise Maker returns bearing what the people need." Vincent said with a slight chuunibyou tone at the end. "Have a pleasant journey, Promise Maker, Ester, and Lupa. " Beatrix said in a receptionist-like attitude while she waved and her snake waved its tail. Later, Vincent, Ester, and Lupa left after browsing all the quests and remember the ones that caught their interest. Lupa liked the hunting quests, Ester liked flower gathering quests, and Vincent took note of everything while letting Kazumi memorize all the new ones. *Tula's Family House* "Welcome, teacher." Renn opened the door and greeted. "Tula and Plow went with Abigail for a stroll. I'm sorry that my elder sister took your familiar out without your permission." He continued. "I don't mind if Abigail is with them. I came here to inform you how we took a gathering quest and might spend a few days in the forest. Also, to ask to keep Plow in your care for a bit longer. Your sister would like that, I believe." Vincent wanted to spend some alone time with his harem without interruptions. Thus Vincent wanted Plow to stay behind. Fortunately, Tula took Plow with her while getting to know Abigail all over again. "Won't you stay until elder sister returns?" Renn asked. Vincent turned around and said while slightly waving his hand, "We won't be able to leave without some sort of compromise if we stay. Goodbye, and see you in a few days." Renn wanted the three to stay so that he and his brother could ask Vincent and Lupa for pointers. The twins were starting to get used to the exercises Vincent taught, and they could feel their power increase while shadow sparing with Lupa as their opponent. "I wish you well." Renn waved. Shortly he remembered, "... elder sister is going to throw another tantrum..." *Rumput Forest* "Why are we here again?" Lupa wanted to know after they met with no animals other than birds. She wasn't too happy after seeing a bunch of quests with an image of an animal. Lupa can't read, and Ester can't teach as her handwriting is chicken scratch. Vincent opened the map and pointed at a cave. "There was a quest about mushrooms found only in caves, and I think this spot right here is a bit far. It's the farthest from any transport road marked, making the possibility of finding something much higher." Vincent explained while showing the direction on the map. [Ahh, in a location like where you are pointing was a quest. It's to kill aggressive wild boars moving in packs. But they shouldn't be challenging to handle.] Vincent relayed the new information causing Lupa to become excited. Lupa assertively looked around and insisted on moving a moment later. Vincent and Ester smiled at each other and followed the cheerful Lupa while she tilted her wolf ears to pick the faintest sound, her nose twitched to pick a trail of scent, and her eyes gazed everywhere like a hawk. After a few hours, Vincent decided to take a break. However, at that moment, Kazumi urgently notified Vincent of a piece of information she kept secret for some time. [Congratulation, you are the father.] -Huh? What are you playing at now?- Vincent didn't know why out of all this time, Kazumi decided to say such words. [Thanks for becoming a father. My Soul Visit ability can now also invite those with a heavy connection with you. Ahem, because you became a father, hehe.] -What do you mean? How can I become a father?-

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal

The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology. I'm a young 17 year old writer and I am new to the site so I will appreciate your comments and reviews. Thank you very much.
