He said with an annoyed expression on his face. "I thought you're going to pretend our conversation never happened" I said with an effort to look sad and still I felt a faint pain in my chest. "Well I wanted to do that but his majesty demanded that I should at least be civil enough to reject you directly, not by silence or any other kind of treatment, and I think I owe you this" this time he looked awkward but friendly like his pictures in Anna's mind. "Unfortunately I don't return your affections, my dear princess but I hope it doesn't affect our long friendship, I can't afford to lose you as a friend" I never heard a rejection as kindly said as this one still I knew a harsh rejection would've done her better. But since I wasn't Anna It wasn't a big of a deal for me," I'm happy that you still want me as a friend since I have no one besides you and my brother in this world I couldn't afford to lose you" he looked amazed that I didn't break out in tears or begged him to love me. "Shall we celebrate with some champagne since we managed to rescue our friendship?!" I just needed some liquor in my veins to help me overcome the awkward situation. "I don't think that's a good idea since it's early afternoon"

"don't be a killjoy Sasha, we used to get drunk behind my brother's back half a year ago and now you're pretending to be too good for this" that was the truth and it was funny how teenager had a unlimited access to liquor, since both of them had their coming of age ceremony, it was only natural.
