“Speak.” Renia's serious words was delivered straight to the demon lord.

They are all currently in a stagecoach driven by a goblin. The vehicle is situated in the middle whereas the monster army is ahead and the huge behemoth is behind them.

“Where should I begin? —Bel replied while thinking of something—“Hmmm...I'm the one who stole the hero summoning spell and instructed my general to summon Ryuji here.”

Immediately after the demon girl finished her word Christina reply with a ferocious tone. “For what reason? Let me guess! You'll manipulate Ryuji into killing the current hero?! Are you not satisfied with all those lives you had taken?! All of those innocent families who had perished because of your forces?! Well I guess not since demons like you have no greater joy than killing those who are weaker!—Christina unsheathed the blade on her hips—“Am I right??!”

“Christina!” Ichiro shouted.

Ichiro covered Bel from Christina followed by Paul. “Please stand down Ms.Swift. Even though she did everything you just said we can't just ignore the fact that this time she and her forces are the ones who saved us from the hands of our so-called comrades.”

“What in the world is wrong with you?! The one who did save us all is not these dire creatures! It is that man in that wrecked city alone and about to face the main forces of the Imperial Army!” Christina did address the evil hero as a man because she considered him as one.

Lily also heard the fuss so she began to approach the Army girl. She gently stroke the hands which was holding the blade and said. “Yes. Yuji did that to buy us time to escape, don't worry his plan might seems idiotically suicidal but I know he'll get through that somehow.”

Lily's soft and gentle voice help the army girl to calm down. Christina lets go of the blade and began to bury her face to Lily's chest. “Thanks Lily. I really hope so. I still haven't really thank him that much.” Lily stroke the army girl's head repeatedly.

It was dead silence for minutes until Bel decided to continue.

“The reason... the reason I summoned him here is because I want to end this once and for all.”

“What do you mean by 'this'?” Ichiro replied.

“This looping comedy of summoning. I am well aware of how many lives got wasted because of me, how many households were destroyed, how many nations fall. All because of the previous demon lords and heroes. I know I just born as a demon lord this year but I want to change the flow of the history as soon as possible.”

“Is there?... Is there a possible way to stop this?” Karen who's keeping her mouth shut since a while ago replied to the demon girl.

“Right now, everything in my mind are nothing but mere theories but I know with the help of my hero everything will come true eventually.”

Another dead silence had passed. Everyone of them in the stagecoach are thinking carefully of their words. This time the girl beside Karen speaked. “Its not that I'm still mad at you but why does Lily needs to die in the first place?” The voice is just enough to be considered from a young girl. It comes from the female champion, Mayuri.

“For Ryuji's Unique magic to activate. Only strong feelings like grief and wrath are the only ones that can activate it. Its just one time activation dont worry.” The demon lord answered with nothing but honesty.

Confused about the topic Guinezia decided to join the conversation. “Uh. Excuse me but what is a Unique magic?”

“Unique magics are ultra rare high to super tier large scale magic which is wielded by every single heroes. And unlike the normal spell we use Unique magics are infinitely expanding and growing. ” Chiyo who's been reading tons of books about the heroes is the one to answer the young dryad.

“Indeed. And as its name implies every hero have different spell.” Bel added.

“Just by hearing that I could feel chills run down in my vines.”

And then Paul remembered something. “Ryuji's Unique Magic...I've seen it at his original adventurer's status. I'm sure its name is 'Animate'. I'm dying to see how that one works.”

“I have seen it twice or thrice already. At first I'm fascinated just by watching him but sooner or later that fascination turn into fear. I'm terrified that such god-like magic exist. First, when I was at the cursed forest I'm silently watching the crimson heroine and him as they are both overkilling my mens.”

Everyone of them that heard Bel's word of fear got speachless, everyone except Renia who was surprised to hear the demon girl's words said. “Huh? When did he use it that time? Do you mean when he use full body enchant?”

“No. He used it when he copied your skill 'Dance of the Duelist' that was Animate - Copy.”

Renia quietly began analysing every moment she had with Ryuji.

Bel continued. “Second was when he used it to restore my physical body along with Liliana's despite mine being reduced to ashes he still restored it to its original state. (Looks at her hands Lily looks at her lower abdomen and surprise to see no scar.) I believe that is Animate - Undo & Restore what's more he doesn't even need to cast”

“But having both of your body restored does not mean you're both fully revived right? What about your souls?” said by the little elf.

“Your knowledge about resurrection is quite intriguing. Elven knowledge is truly wonderful. As for our souls, I was lucky that during the god of death's absence I manage to slip through his world.”

Still wondering what happened Chiyo continued to barrage the demon girl. “How?”

“After he killed me, my spiritual self was sent straight to the land of the deads ruled by the god of death himself, humans called it afterlife. In there, I wasted no time and hurriedly search for Lily's soul which wasn't very easy since every single soul in there knows that I'm also the root cause of their tragic demise. But even so, I still manage to locate her, by that time Ryuji has absorbed the power gem that I left behind so I made a link between them through that gem. Ryuji convinced Lily's soul to come back somehow and next was I tried to communicate him again, my only goal that time is to give him a quick rundown of the current situation as Cazius is planning to shut him down before my commanders find him also to frame him for all I did and after I explained that to him I will finally accept my fate, or so I thought. But in the middle of our conversation he said that he already restored my body and placed it at the Windsor residence same place as Lily's.”

“In other words, you let yourself killed in exchange for Liliana's soul which you used for the sake of Ryuji's magic without knowing that he himself can revive you?” Ichiro who's been listening to the story gave his quick summary.

“Indeed. That's the least that I can do to atone my sins that I committed to him.”

Guinezia smiled at the demon girl and calmly said. “You're an odd one, even though you said you are the demon lord I still cannot feel any evil intentions in you.”

“Dont let her words decieve you.” Christina warned.

“I'm talking about her inner self. It is full of crazy ideas but none of them are pure evil.”

Upon hearing what the Dryad said Bel kept silent with a slight smile on her face while looking down.

The goblin driver peek at the garment and spoke to the demon lord “Grarrggghhgurrraaahh..”

“We're almost there.” Bel said while looking ahead.

Suddenly, out of nowhere a moster-like sound echoed in the stagecoach.

“What is that?” The crusader said.

“Sorry. But... What do we have for lunch?” Chiyo was totally embarrassed.

Everyone in the stagecoach laughs.

(Ryuji's POV)

Now it's just me here in the center of the corpses, calmly looking at the back of the behemoth until it was gone in the horizon. Winds pass by occasionally as I stare mindlessly at the devastated city.

This was a good starting city. I guess I'll ask Bel on why did she have to destroy this first thing when I arrive in the canyon.

Minutes passed while sitting on the waterless fountain and enjoying the peace until the bloods on the ground pick my attention. That's right demons in this world learns magic by eating the holder, or something that has the holder's DNA I think. And since I'm a demon too...

I slightly bend myself so that I could reach the bloods. I began gathering it by my finger.

“So this is a human blood huh.” I don't feel anything specific towards it.

To me its just a slimy red-colored liquid nothing more, nothing less. And without any further ado I licked it from my finger until none of it is left.

“Wow. It doesn't have taste at all.” I thought back on earth it taste like something fishy but here it doesn't have one.

I tried to feel something like power surging from the inside or like in the video games when the mc has gained some kind of a powerful magic thing but minutes passed nothing change. So maybe it doesn't work for me then. I decided to ignore that thing for a while.

Come to think of it, since I'm alone in here and the hero is still nowhere near then I still have time to check my current status at the guild. Even when I'm still back on earth I got a habit of checking characters status for progress that I'm making everytime I got the chance. With my current hero agility it took me a minute or so to reach the guild.

I looked at the paper immediately when the stone tablet finished its work. So the warrior job got crossed out and the base status got lower. I also noticed the plenty of skills added to my skillset. As I recalled using my Animate - Copy I got the Enchantment and the Dance from Renia, the Quick Draw from Lily, Lesser form from Bel, and Limit Break? I didn't noticed I did used my copy to Chiyo that time but well anyway, I learned the Zero State in the process of my concealing plan with Paul now I can do it without the help of that crazy zircon-looking gem. The last one picks my attention, Starfall and moreover an offensive magic? Where did I acquire that? Hmmm. I want to give it a shot.

I stepped out of Paul's room and opened one of the windows in the hallway of the guild. From there I see the wrecked buildings in the western part of the city.

I raised my hand across the horizon and began thinking about that magic.

At the same moment when I think of it a devastating gravitational magic decimate the building I'm pointing at and the ones near it flooring everything down to the ground in an instance.

“That... That was Cazius's magic right?” I muttered to myself while cold sweats run down in my face.
