“Here, remember to always wear this.”
Paul said while handing over an armlet to the red haired boy.
They were both at the unmanned part of the walkways of the great walls of Aldebaran.
As the sun continue its set Ryuji replied with, “What’s this?”
“Oh, I thought you read about it already. Well, it is some kind of a dog tag that also serve as identification to your rank, see that gem on it?”
Ryuji looked to where Paul instructed and see a greenish gem embedded in the armlet. Then Paul continued.
“It’s a zircon, the lowest rank. Just as we planned you’ll hide your real identity until you’ve learned enough about this world right?”
“Yes…—Ryuji replied with his low pitched voice and after a short pause he continued—…because I don’t like going in the capital as well as training in there”
“Hmm. I agree, besides the current state of the capital now is like a total war zone since the demons became active recently before your arrival, back to the topic, that zircon is no ordinary one, it just looked like a zircon but it is actually a stone that sucks out your magic power thus limiting it to minimum.”
The red haired boy looked again at the zircon armlet. Paul pulled out two piece of paper from his pocket, unfold it then explain it at Ryuji.
“About this—he hold the two different papers on different hands—the one on the left is the one from earlier, overpowered status, overpowered magic and more overpowered information which made it useless, and this one on the right is the one you will use, I adjusted it to become mediocre in all possible ways, remove things that will get you trouble.” He give the paper on his right hand to Ryuji.

“So, I’ll have to show this before taking a quest or having a job upgrade right?”
“Yeah, it’s your registration info afterall.”
“This night…”
“What?”
“I’m going to accept a quest this night… it is to get spider webs located at Orcish Grand Canyon.”
“Hey, Hey. Orcs are middle tier monsters they’re not fitted for a zircon tiers, besides your hero status are sealed because of that armlet”
“Don’t worry. I’m not going on a suicide mission, I have a plan. Yes you are right Orcs are pretty hard to handle especially if you are alone but.”
“But?!”
“Orcs are not nocturnal monsters and assassinating them on their sleep is the best way to overcome them. That’s why I choose to go tonight.”
“No. I’m not letting you. Just because you’ve read that all from the book in the guild means you know them enough. Besides that spear! That spear on your back! It is the worst weapon to use in a confined place like that spider lair in the canyon!” Paul nearly lost his cool but was interrupted when Ryuji speaked.
“Paul…—after a short pause Ryuji looked straight at the guild receptionist’s eyes—in the world where I came from, there were no tutorials, that means you need to step forward without knowing what’s on the other side in order to survive, no one will help you on times you need them the most, and chances means everything. I think… this quest is a chance for me to move forward don’t worry I promise if things get worse I’ll withdraw immediately.”
“…”
“…”
It was dead silence, for a short time Paul just stares mindlessly at the ground while the red-haired boy just looked at him waiting for his response. After a short while Paul spoke in a much calmer way than before.

“Okay. To be honest you sounded like a grown-up man there.—Paul took a deep sigh and said—Alright, I allow you to take the quest besides if something bad happens remove that zircon armlet and escape the canyon immediately, got it?”
“Yeah. I will… You know…”
“What?”
“It’s good to have someone that actually cares for you isn’t it?”
“Yeah, so don’t make things that make this old man worry alright?”
“Yes I won’t so now sit tight and wait for my return.”
Paul nodded upon hearing those word out of Ryuji’ mouth. Ryuji folded the status paper and slide it inside his belt bag before beginning his strive towards the stairs of the walkway away from Paul.
“Oh.” Paul said upon remembering something.
Ryuji looked back at the guild receptionist.
“I just remembered, tomorrow or the day after my firstborn is coming home. I want to introduce you to her.”
“Is she cute?” Ryuji said while having a grin.
“See it for yourself HAHA!”
“I will. See ya then” Ryuji continued his stride away and away from Paul until his back disappeared completely.
The sun is nearly gone in the horizon and lights from lamps of the houses started to appear. Paul leaned at the wall and stare at the fields outside of Aldebaran.
He unfolded again the original status of the red-haired boy. Paul focused his eyes on the part where the status were indicated.
Ryūji Shinozaki Age: 16 Race: Unknown Hair: Red Eyes: Cyan Job: W̶a̶r̶r̶i̶o̶r̶/ Hero Level: 1 Strength:[SSS] Endurance:[SS] Agility:[SSSS] Luck: [?] Intelligence:[?] Magic Power: S Skills: Animate [Unique], High Speed Regeneration [Passive], Demon Form [Ars Series]
“A Hero of Demons huh, so it is really happening… the final Holy War.” Paul muttered while wearing some traces of fear on his face.
