“Is it done?” Mulguran asked with a menacing voice.
“Yes, my lord.” the hooded figure in black said, voice steady and unwavering, unwilling to show emotion. “I did as you command. The people will see them by morning and in a day's time most, if not all, will have heard.”
“Good.” the demon smiled, his grin showing sharp fanged teeth. “Then it’s only a matter of time. I’ll finally have him.”
The cloaked figure, knelt on both knees, gaze turned to the ground, but as the demon shifted, he caught his servant’s eye. Mulgurans red eyes flared slightly and his black leathery wings extended as if in a stretch. His surroundings were different this time. The planet he was on was strange and bleak. The black rocky surface crumbled like ash beneath his feet.
He caught the stare and hissed. “What? Have you something to say?” he asked with a hint of mockery.
“I planted the papers, as you said. But I don’t see how he will find them.” the servant said.
“You have much to learn. You don’t know him as I do. He will find it.” Mulguran said so confidently there wasn’t a shred of doubt in his voice. “The reason for that specific location is because he’s looked there before. In the past. Call it a hunch.”
“Forgive me, my lord. I do not mean to doubt you.” the hooded figure said quickly.
“Watch and learn. You will find it most informative but…” he paused, glancing to the sky. The sky in his case was the stars and space, in which his servant couldn’t see. “If Rayman is as weak and pathetic as I know him to be, he will cave to his request. In which case you know what to do.”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Good.” he repeated. “Don’t disappoint me. Our time is nearing.”
