《Wait… Why is this a Skill? [Dropped]》Vol 2. Chapter 10

“Ohhh… So this is the town?”
“That’s right.”
We crossed the gate that was serving as the pathway to the town. The town was not that different from the towns in the Human continent, just, a little bit rundown. If you compare the buildings in this town than those in the Human continent, you can clearly see the difference.
As for how we got here, when Liana came back with numerous carriages and escorts, we were kindly escorted to the town, along with the kidnapped elves. We were treated fairly better than the average adventurer because of single-handedly subjugating a well-known bandit group. The bandit group was known as the [Berserk Marauders], a group known for its strength and persistence when it comes to raids.
The [Berserk Marauders] was a group that has a record of countless murders, numerous razed villages, numerous kidnappings, and smuggling. You could also say they were an organization of their own. Their leader, known as the [Berserk Bandit] is said to be undefeated, even against an elite knight, and we were able to defeat him.
Anyway, back to the present…
“This town is just on the outskirts of the elf territory. That explains the qualities of the buildings in this place since the towns closer to the heart of the elf territory are given priority than those farther than it.”
Umm… Sorry for jumping to conclusions. I thought that the Demihuman continent was in a far worse shape than the Human continent because the Demihuman continent is the closest continent to the Demon continent.
“Well, anyway, since you promised to help find the princess, first, let’s go to the adventurer’s guild for you to register. I didn’t know that you were not an adventurer until you were inspected at the checking area.”
“Oh yeah…”
It was when we were entering the gate that the four of us were inspected, along with all the kidnapped elves. Some of the kidnapped elves were adventurers, others were just common folk. The bounty for the bandits was supposed to be rewarded to the ones who subjugated them, meaning u, but for it to be rewarded, you have to be an active adventurer or mercenary.
If common folk were to claim the bounty of a bandit they’ve subjugated, they will be examined first before being given the bounty, so being an adventurer can skip those steps.

“Still, this is a nice town. It’s peaceful and quiet, and nobody here is actually acting out of place.”
“That’s good to hear, but in every town…”
“There is always a dark side, right?”
“…Yes.”
Just before Kiera could finish her sentence, I stated my claim and Kiera nodded in approval. I am not so naïve to believe that everything is good. Good cannot exist without evil. In everything we do, keep in mind that there is always an effect that can result in either a good outcome, or a bad outcome.
“So, where is the adventurer’s guild here?”
Just before the mood could get any worse, I quickly changed the topic to the part where I register as an adventurer.
“If I am not mistaken, taking a left and heading straight should lead us into the adventurer’s guild---”
“Wrong… Wrong direction… Take right… And head straight…”
“O- Oh yeah, I forgot, b-but Kiera-san has no s-sense of direction.”
“Is that so?”
Liana quickly denied Kiera’s remark and supplemented her own claim. Phana also supported Liana’s argument, and I ended up nodding in agreement. The reason why I also agreed was because when we were travelling together after saving them from the bandits, when we were about to depart from the bandit hideout, Kiera actually managed to take more than five wrong turns, even if you just need to head straight and take a left to get out of the cave.
“M-Mou!!! Just because you can tell where the guild is, doesn’t mean that you can bully me because of it!!!”
“Correction… not bullying…”
“T-That’s right Kiera-san. Y-You should study maps more…”
“Enough!!! Kouta-san! Please help me!!”
“…”
I turned my head away and pretended to whistle, even if I don’t know how.
“You too!? Arghh!!! Hole! Is there a hole anywhere!?”
While Kiera was lost in her own limbo of finding a hole to crawl into, we arrived at the adventurers guild.
“So this is the place…”
How do you say it, it feels like the atmosphere of the guild here is very different from the guild back in the Human continent. It feels like I’m getting a cold chill down my spine when I think of entering,

“You will know once you head inside, Kouta-san.”
With Kiera making a mischievous face, she ushered me in while pushing my back.
“Hey! Wait a minute!!”
“Oh don’t worry, your life will not be endangered, well, only your life.”
“WHAT’S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN!?”
I retorted from the strange remark that came from Kiera. A few moments later, I was pushed inside the guild. What was inside, was a normal day you could see in any adventurers guild back in the Human continent.
“Hmm…? It’s more normal than I thought.”
I casually said my opinion out loud, but thank goodness, there was no one here paying attention to notice what I said.
“Now Kouta-san, let’s register you to become an adventurer.”
With a smile that could put any international model to shame back on Earth, Kiera told me to head to the counter to register.
“… What is this…”
Every step I take towards the counter send chills down my spine. When I took a look at the receptionist, it was an elf male. Most adventurers inside were only demihumans, so I can understand that he can be someone like a guild receptionist. But somehow, his looks are too dashing!! His face looked like it was sculpted by a God himself!! But why do I feel this eeriness?
Also, when I took a closer look, no male adventurer was trying to get close to him, heck, they are clearly avoiding him,, and are lining up at the other receptionists with diverse characteristics. A male dragonewt, a female elf, and a female dwarf were the other receptionists.
The female dwarf looked like a small little girl. Let me give you a little trivia about dwarves in this world. The dwarves have a race character trait of being short, stout, and hairy right? But in this world, they only inherited the short height. Meaning, the dwarves look like grade-schoolers in my eyes. The only way to tell them apart is their hair. Dwarves that are already an adult has thicker hair than the other races. Not hair on the body nor beards, hair on the head. And also, dwarves love crafting and smithing, along with their love for alcohol, but some dwarves do part-time jobs to earn a little cash to earn a living. The perfect example of this is the dwarf girl working as a receptionist.
And also some trivia for the dragonewts, their appearances are like humans, but with extra parts resembling a dragon’s. They have dragon horns, dragon tail, dragon claws, and once they are able to gain the [Partial Dragon Form] skill, they are able to manifest their own wings and generate their scales. Of course, there is a higher level skill than [Partial Dragon Form] for the dragonewts, and that is [Dragon Form], the inferior skill to Dragon Knight’s [Elder Dragon Form] skill. [Partial Dragon Form] and [Dragon From] is a race skill that can only be obtained by the dragonewts. And dragonewts who are able to obtain [Partial Dragon Form] are considered a genius in their tribe, while those who acquire [Dragon Form], are known to be of higher standing in their tribe. You can think of them as nobles.
Back to the present…
I wanted to line up like the others with the other receptionist, but Kiera kept on pushing me towards the male elf receptionist. Cold sweat kept on pouring on my back, and it never stopped.
“Fufufufu…”
That dark smile again… Kiera, I’ll have my revenge later!!
“Welcomeee!! Welcome to the adventurers guild!”
Hmm…? Somehow, he feels normal…
“Haahh… Hahhh…”
… Okay, I take that back. THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!! How do you explain this situation, a stranger walks right in front of you to ask a question, then you look at him with feverish eyes and blushing cheeks while running out of breath. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE!?
“Haahhh… Such a cute boy… Should I rent a room for just the two of us in an inn… No wait, should I kidnap him and try S & M play… Ahh… I can’t stop thinking about the things I can do with him… Haahhh… Hahhh…”
………… WHAT THE FUCK!!??

8 84Gamble
My name is Vak Tychus. Aside from the, regrettably striking name, there were very few things I'd judge, that made me - me. The name had to do with chance or fate. My last name was Latin, derived from the Latinized name Eutychus which was the combination of two Greek words corresponding to "good" and "luck, chance, and fortune." Now that you know why I'm so unhealthily and exceedingly prone to gambling I can begin to teach you why exactly I love it so much. There's a handful of things you'd have to know to really appreciate how to gamble. You'd be surprised at how much you can learn in two decades supposing you stuck with it your entire life. Although, there are some stark differences between betting a handful of cash and your life against monstrous creatures intent on your blood. Well, you learn a thing or two, if you can believe it. Here, in fact, we can start with the first one: Taking a risk. Try it now and start reading.
8 154To Spite a God
Gurz'ga'nal was the young god of an even younger people. A god of little to no power. The God of Greed, with an even greedier set of followers. A god of broken promises, of betrayal, of lies and deceit. Something that the Goblins knew all to well. 2-3 updates a week.
8 95Elder's Game
In a world set upon by an ancient threat, a new cycle of civilisation competes for power and resources. Amidst the games and politicking of Elder beings, the masses are unknowingly ensnared in plots and schemes that were centuries in the making. At the heart of the world’s workings lies the Tyreal Valley—a land that promises to fulfil the desires of those who seek it. As a haven for the truly strong, the path to this promise is paved more often than not in warfare and blood. To two young stragglers fighting for more than just their own fates, it is left as their only answer. But maybe that’s just what their enemies want. Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality. Initially, the focus is on the male lead as he comes of age in an environment with little scope to change his future, only to be thrust into new circumstances that permanently kill some of his hopes. 3k words every chapter
