Okay, now that I got the mission let’s go and find this Moren dude. After coming out of the headquarter I head to the center of the city. Typically, nobles live in the center. Closer you are to the castle higher your nobility.

I activate my camouflage after taking of the cloak. I come before Moren’s mansion after travelling for almost thirty minutes. And that is after I ran over the roofs. This city is too fucking huge.

And it is already getting dark. This works in my favor, I suppose. After it got totally dark, I sneak in.

Uhh. This place smells disgusting. I think this Moren dude is way too liberal with his carnal desire. I think I might vomit. This place is even worse than a brothel.

And I think there is a dungeon in the basement. This place is highly unpleasant. I’m hating it more and more. After going around, I finally manage to find Moren’s room. Even now I’m hearing moaning coming from inside.

I circle around outside and comes before his room’s windows. After moaning coming from inside finally stops, I peek inside. There is a typical rotten noble and well frankly sexy woman laying on the bed.

Moren is like typical corrupt noble. Potbelly, mustache and pig face. As for the woman there is something off about her. From way Moren is acting I would say he is madly in love with that woman.

I think he will do anything that woman asks him to do. Just as I thought there is something off about that woman.

I think I will observe them for a while and confirm my suspicions about that woman. Whatever that may be, I’m pretty sure that she is not a human. I’m not sure about exactly what she is.

After doing their deed Moren falls sleep. After that woman gets up and clothes herself. She leaves Moren’s mansion. I tail her quietly.

She meets two other gorgeous women and together they go to another noble’s mansion after meeting. Those two she met later is giving me iffy feeling. They go into mansion that is located at the outermost circle of the noble’s district. Almost run-down mansion.

After tailing them I enter after them into the mansion. They start to change immediately after coming inside the mansion.

Holy shit, they were succubus I believe. Curved horns, bat like wings and pointlessly revealing clothes. No wonder I felt off about them. So, each of them went to noble’s mansion and seduced them. Wonder who is the contractor?

After changing they enter main room of the mansion. In there, young man sits upon a main seat. From the looks if it he is the contractor.

“We are back master.”

“Did you accomplish your missions?”

“Yes, we did. Three barons are under our control.”

“Good work.”

Just as I expected. This is going way too novel like. I suppose this dude is a descendant of a fallen noble who is out for revenge.

Now this is starting to get rally interesting. I wonder who are the other unlucky two.

“Where is Judith?”

“She is not here yet, Master.”

Shit there is four of them. This dude is good. I wonder what is the price for making contract with four succubi. Considering their nature, it would be his vitality right. If so, dude doesn’t get long to live.

I wonder what is it he is planning. From looks of it, it might be interesting. But I need to kill Moren before deadline. Well, I’m sure he will find some other noble to seduce with one of his succubi.

For now, let’s complete my mission. After coming out of the run-down mansion I head back to Moren’s mansion.

Dude is still sleeping like a pig in his bed. I sneak in quietly and cut off his head. I wonder why this mission was ranked at three stars. It is way too easy.

Just after I cut of Moren’s head his body starts to crawl with something black. After coming out of his body it starts to take a humanoid shape. Looks like a shade.

“So, you’re the reason why this piece of shit is ranked 3 stars, huh?”

“You piece of shit. Do you know what it will take me to make another body?!!”

Hmm, rude shade.

“Why should I care about that?”

“You will care after I take your body!”

“I killed one like you before. I can kill another one again too.”

“Shut and die.”

No matter how I look this dude got issues. Doesn’t matter since I can just kill him now. I think this I a good time to try out what I gained during my travel.

During his blabbing I sent out my mana to ground through my feet and compress it into spear shape and make it impale out beneath the ground.

But it fails to injure the shade. My spears simply go through it. This dude is even more advanced than shade wolf. After going through my sneak attack unscathed it enters into its shadow and disappears.

And since there is full moon outside, he can attack me from any angle. I may not see him but I can sense him.

So, I guess attacking from person’s shadow is typical of shades. I can sense it entering my shadow. As soon as it exits my shadow I dodge to my left. I get a glimpse of it I see its arm turned into a blade. I’m sure it will hurt a lot if I get skewered by that.

How do I kill it? different from shade wolf this shade is capable if going through object like a real shadow. Ooh, EUREKA!

I suddenly remembered about certain character from a ninja anime. He can be touched when he attacks others himself. I believe that will apply to this shadow dude too.

So, this time I stand still while injecting more mana into ground and prepare my impale. And as soon as it comes out of my shadow and try to stab me in the back, I skewer him with my mana spears. But it still fails to hurt him. But as his blade touched my back it simply went through my body.

I think my guess is right. It’s just that he somehow felt my mana entering ground. That means I need to try something else.

It goes back into my shadow and disappear. It seems he didn’t realize I guessed his weakness. If he did, he would have run already.

I can’t mess up again. If he realizes I know way to kill him, he will turn tail for sure. So, my next move needs to end this.

And I got just the stuff. While waiting for him to attack again I activate my gauntlets only. After that I pump some mana into them. After experimenting with my gears, I realized I can actually control their shape with my mana.

It was actually pretty simple. I can control them like my left arm. I can change their form as much as I wanted. But I can still change them to a certain degree and that can help me with this.

After activating my gauntlets, I will my armor to cover my back and wait for the strike. After circling me for almost ten minutes it finally decides to close in.

This shade is experienced assassin. No simple killer can be this patient. Once again shade get beneath my shadow and after waiting five more minutes it finally comes out from my shadow and strike me from behind.

DING!

But its blade fails to pierce my back armor and as soon as its blade made contact with my armor, iron spikes protrude from my back skewering the shade.

After making sure I got the shade I retract my spikes and look back. Unlike the wolf this one got red blood. One of my spikes got him in the head, killing it in one shot.

It turned into normal human after dying. I will cut its head and bring it with me just to be sure. After acquiring two heads I exit the mansion and head for the headquarter.

Following the way, I followed last time I come into the lobby and reach the receptionist.

“I would like to complete my mission.”

I give him the mission poster and two heads.

“What is the second head, sir?”

“That is the shade that was inside the baron.”

“What? Baron Moren was possessed by shade? And you killed that shade?”

“I think so. It came out of his body after I killed him.”

“Wait a minute Mr. 47.”

After saying that receptionist goes to the stairs. He comes back after five minutes.

“Mr. 47 please head to the third floor. Guild master would like to have a word with you.”

“Okay.”
