《Try Me!》Chapter 34: Unexpected Spoil

Still the same feeling. But the difference absorbing life force making is becoming more miniscule. I think higher my body potential rank gets hard it is for me to increase it. Still, the feeling of emerging triumphant after hard battle is quite good. Especially if I can survive.
So, I think I can say that I finally finished my genocide. Now that to do. As I was wondering that an eyeball suddenly materialized next to me.
Arcturus: “Good job.”
Tree: “Beginner’s luck.”
Fucking firewood.
Alder: “Thanks Arc. I will burn you someday.”
Tree: “HA! Try it if you can, brat.”
Alder: “We will see. OH shit.”
Now that the fight is over adrenaline is losing effect. And I can feel the pain. Especially in my feet.
Alder: “Damn it. Still couldn’t grasp the right moment.”
Tree: “Ha! That’s what you get for biting off more than you can chew.”
Alder: “Fuck you.”
Shit. Most important part about executing second technique is timing of when you unleash the impact formed from collision. Since I haven’t mastered it I failed to unleash the impact fully. So, leftover impact wreaked havoc in my feet.
Alder: “Shit! It hurts a lot.”
Tree: “Stop whining. It will heal soon.”
Alder: “Someday I will burn you.”
Still, second technique was as strong as it was advertised. More I practice Nameless martial art more I understand its brilliance. This martial art’s techniques will grow stronger with me. As energy I use to execute them increases in quality and quantity its power increases relative to them.
Those ten techniques can be used depending on situation. And that is way too powerful. But problem is they are way too demanding on person’s energy control. But energy control is only thing I excel at, so, like the tree blabbed this martial art is tailor made for me.
Still, mastering them is really hard. And unless I master them I can’t use them without them backfiring. Like this time.
Alder: “So, what do I do now.”
Arcturus: “If you’re not decided yet, why not try searching the bats’ cave for spoil.”
Alder: “That’s a good idea. See that tree instead of blabbing why can’t you offer a few good ideas?”

Tree: “Why on earth would I do that, huh?”
Alder: “TSK.”
This firewood is becoming more and more annoying by the day.
Forget that firewood. Let’s explore the cave first.
I walk to the cave mouth and enter it. Its fucking dark in here. So, I change my view to my sensors. As I close my eyes and concentrate on my surroundings I start to see in this darkness.
Cave mouth continuous for ten meters before I see where the smaller giant bats live. It’s full of animal skulls. Skulls I don’t recognize. Suppose they are the unfortunate victims of their bowel movement.
Anyway, there isn’t anything interesting here. So, I keep going deeper into the cave. Only after walking for almost hundred meters do I come across a bigger bat’s nest. It is a cave end with huge space. And like smaller ones’ it is full of skulls.
I think it was their hobby to collect the skulls of their preys. Because I don’t see any other kind of bones in here.
On the left wall of the cave there is another cave mouth leading to smaller cave. I head there and take peek into the smaller cave.
And I see a sunlight beaming down on a small bud with a little purple fruit in it. I can feel something from this fruit. As I get near it I can feel energy that I don’t recognize being exuded by this fruit. I suppose this was that giant bat’s treasure.
Alder: “What kind of fruit is it?”
Arcturus: “I don’t know. But whatever kind of fruit it may be, I can say for sure that this fruit is a treasure. Energy it is exuding is specially kind of vitality. But this kind of volatile and aggressive vitality is useless for humans. It will simply poison you. But it will be so much useful for creature with high adaptation and powerful body. I that giant bat ate this fruit at its ripest, it could have evolved to something stronger and smarter. And it understood that. Thus, it was protecting it.”
Alder: “So, that means I can’t use it right?”
Arcturus: “Yes. Vitality in it is too aggressive for you. And even if you eat it, it won’t make a much of difference to you considering vitality you already possess. That vitality is frankly monstrous.”

Alder: “Since I got no use for it I think it would be better if I burn it right.”
I say while igniting a fireball.
Arcturus: “Wait. Keep it. It might come in handy one day.”
Alder: “Hell no. I can’t bring this fruit everywhere I go.”
Tree: “Hey, numbnuts. Since it’s a plant you can keep it in your first door.”
Alder: “I will let that go because your idea is feasible. But how do I do that. I don’t even know how I got my little tree in there. And did you know that it was here?”
Tree: “I got a theory. Your doors are connected to your soul. So, that means if you take it into your soul it might take root inside your first door. And yes, I did know.”
Alder: “Then how do I take it into my soul?”
Tree: “I think Arcturus will be more helpful in that regard.”
Alder: “So, what do you think Arc?”
Arcturus: “Well, I’m not exactly an expert when it comes to soul. But I did a little research when I tried to move my soul into crystal container. So, I will try to teach you from my experience. First, you need to feel your soul. Your soul is let’s just say it’s your Soul Root. So, instead of simply using it to convert pure energy into mana you need to connect to it and control it. And once you connected with it you can do the rest yourself.”
I close my eyes and try to feel my Soul Root. Concentrating on my very essence. As I focus on myself I start to feel something. Something deep within myself. Something familiar. Something that was there all along.
I start to feel my soul. And as I feel my soul, as I get closer to it I can feel my mind being connected to my soul. As my mind and soul’s connection becomes clearer and stronger I start to see something different connected to my soul.
More specifically I feel eleven different connections to my soul. So those are my doors. First three are different from others. Other seven are same. And one on the top is different too.
So, as my doors get their, I would like to say properties their connection to my soul change too.
After feeling the difference, I focus on the first one. And as I focus on it I can feel another soul living within it. I suppose that would be my little world tree.
While focusing on my first door I will it to take in the fruit. As I will it I can feel another life emerging in my first door.
And as I open my eyes bud with purple fruit in it is gone. Root and everything.
After seeing that I enter my Soul Palace and open my first door. There is fruit next to my little tree. So, I guess tree was right.
Considering where I am, it wouldn’t be strange for other plants like these to grow around here. So, in future if I find another fruit like this one I can keep it without a problem.
Alder: “Well, that was an unqualified success.”
Arcturus: “……”
Alder: “What?”
Arcturus: “It took me a whole year to control my soul. But you did it in ten minutes. That is making me question my life choices.”
Alder: “Sorry. I guess.”
Tree: “See that. You’re a freak of nature.”
Alder: “I told compliment will get you nothing.”
Stupid tree.
Alder: “It seems there is nothing else in this cave. So, let’s get out of here. Arc you need to teach me that eyeball spell.”
Arcturus: “Come back and I will teach you. But since it’s you I’m sure you will master it just by looking at its spell matrix.”
As I was about to exit the cave I sense something from beneath the skulls that I didn’t feel before. I sense life. Albeit, weak.
Alder: “Tree can you sense it?”
Tree: “Sense what?”
Alder: “You Arc?”
Arcturus: “I got nothing.”
Tree: “What are you babbling about?”
Alder: “I sense a life from beneath the skulls. You don’t?”
Tree: “I got nothing.”
Arcturus: “Me too.”

The Beaumort Society
The city of Omen is on the cutting-edge of learning and science, and the things going on behind the backs of the Institute and the government, and sometimes with their approval...well, they don’t really matter. Conspirators operate just below the surface, societies clashing, fighting for their own mysterious ends. It's here that the individual known as Nemesis Jones, a self-styled private investigator, arrives, stumbling onto the doorstep of a curious bookstore called Beaumort's. He's here in search of answers, but all he seems to find is more questions - like the strange girl who arrived at Beaumort's shortly after him, and the peculiar stranger who just may have the answers he seeks. After he stumbles upon a conspiracy tied far too closely for comfort to his best friend, it's up to him and some other nosy eccentrics to unravel the mysteries of the city one by one, beginning with the murder at the Theatre Obscura. 8 123The Legend of Fanaura: Cursed
'Hey, need some help there?' An unfamiliar voice echoed through her mind, and she startled, losing her grip on the red phial. It rolled through the grass, away from her. "Oh shoot!" she yelped, and her focus diverted from her opponent for a split second, but it was enough to prove fatal. The beast took advantage of her distraction and lunged towards her. She tried to back away, but in her haste, she stumbled and fell. She looked at the beast, inches away from her, and shut her eyes in fear. She raised her arms to cover her head, even if she knew it was futile. Yet seconds passed, and no pain came. Then she heard the beast let out a pained yelp. She opened her eyes to the familiar sounds of battle before her. A tall man stood before her, locked in battle with the beast. He wielded a sword as long as his height, yet it didn't seem to hinder him in the slightest. She watched in awe as he swung the obviously heavy sword around as if it were light as a feather. His movements were swift and precise, and it didn't take long before the beast fell to the ground, motionless. “You alright there, miss?” The man sheathed his sword across his back, before turning to her. Her eyes widened when she heard his voice. It was the same voice who had that had spoken into her mind and the cause of her almost-fatal distraction. "You...!" she hissed.***She was the chosen one to end the war between the Goddesses when they were supposed to take care of the world balance.
