Alexander was having a hard time tracking this boy down. He was protected form location spells. This alone was the proof he was a wizard and not a sorcerer or something else. On top of this his mana use was very efficient. Being all most impossible to find one thaum of mana round the place. Sitting in the dining room of June's parents home, Alexander stared at the candle on the table. It did have some mana in it and he didn't know why. There were other spots in the house like this one. Just mana, no spells, runes, charms or enchantments and it was driving him up the wall. Even along the way where he ran out of town. Little bits of mana here and there. After that it just ends at the edge town. He sighed teleported to the place and willed a horse into being. Patting it on its neck as he said.
"Looks like I'm doing it the old-fashioned way. You ready for a long ran?"
The magical construct nodded its head. A dog appeared next to him and then he summoned hundreds of hummingbirds. Looking round at all of them, he said.
"Go find him."
The small things bolted off to the West. After getting on the horse, Alexander and the dog followed them at a good speed.
