《On The Run From A Dragon》Day Six: Part Two

June woke up in the morning and she some how ended up being wrapped round Tom. Getting the feeling that he was hungry and she should make breakfast. She got out of bed and trying her best not to wake him up. It's a lot easier now that she is lost so much weight and some height. Then she noticed something off about the air in the room. It was heavy and thick all most like water, but not as clingy. Looking down at herself, all of her feathers have grown longer and unfolded. Extending her arms out, she could feel her muscles go taunt and the flight feathers on her forearm were excited out also. She had a wingspan of ten feet. The urge to try out flying was there, but then 'that' reminded her of him.
Tom's paranoia.
'He's going to be hungry when he wakes up.'
Some mana ran through her body as she got the message. Knowing she was addicted to it and not caring, she got to work. June called up some room service and asked how much it was going to be after ordering. The manager at the desk informed her.
"It's no cost ma'am, so long as The Master Wizard is happy. Is he enjoying his stay?"
Going with the flow, she replied.
"Yes, he is happy with his room. Also paying for his food is something he always tries to do if he can. So how much?"
The man on the line cleared his throat.
"Very well. We'll have breakfast up as soon as possible. It only be forty-two seventy-three. Is there any else we can do for you?"
She gave a cheerful reply.
"No, I think that will be all. Thank you for your service."
After hanging up on him, she waited for the food to come up. When it did, she gave the goblin waiter a fifty after being in the cart and told to keep the charge. June caught her studying Tom's sleeping form. A rage came over as her feathers puffed up. She lifted her wings in the air and raised a foot to stomp or slash. The goblin's green face turned all most wight with dread. In a low voice dripping with hate, June told her.

"Want to die you little shit?"
Letting out a small squeak, the goblin ran out the room. June held in check the need to run her down. As she calmed down and realized that may have been uncalled for. Nothing she could do about it now. She woke up Tom and let him have breakfast in bed. There was another hit of mana when he dug into his steak and eggs. Feeling all warm and fuzzy inside she told him.
"I'm going to take a show and after that, whats the plan to day?"
Before take a bite he answered.
"To Take Over The World!"
She sighed and rolled her eyes.
"I should have known. I'll be right back."

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *

Poems
This is a book of some poems I've written recently. Some are about me, some are about books, and some are about something else entirely. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

A Tyrant: Unshackled
A man once lived in a modern world, surrounded by the tragedy of humans, he was despaired. He did his best to ignore it. Did his best to hide in the safety of his own circumstances. But eventually the tragedy reached him. And when it did... it left a broken man, who was tired of the world and it's circumstances. He took things into his own hands. He would change the world. But this story isn't about that. For after all was done, the man dying peacefully on his own terms, he would have a new life ahead of him. Now unbound by attatchments and responsibility, in a completely new world for him to explore, he would make sure his new life didn't end up like the last one. This fiction won't be updated regularly due to my own circumstances and while I will try to update it often, I won't always be able to. That being said I hope you enjoy this little work of mine. I'm not an experienced, and don't consider myself a good author in any way. But hopefully some people will enjoy this fiction like I do writing it, regardless of that.
