One has a sharp look on his face while holding a staff, and the other one has a carefree expression while playing with his blade. Both of them were at the eight level of body tempering realm. Ming Li wasn't really threatened by the two, but instead, he felt the sense of danger from the other seekers that might be rushing towards their location. With that, Ming Li rushed towards the two and used torment on both of them. With him being at the peak of body tempering realm, he can now use Torment at five people simultaneously. The two didn't hesitate either, and attacked Ming Li with their strongest skill. The area around them shook as a giant staff fell from the sky towards Ming Li, and a gigantic sword came chopping towards him. Ming Li's eyes flashed with killing intent as he faced both attack with his heat wave. Everything around Ming Li went scorching red as it consumed the two attack from his enemies. Also the torment hit both of his enemies and made them unable to move. When Ming Li saw them groveling in excruciating pain, He held both of their neck and lifted the two seeker in the air. Because Ming Li heard the information from Gui Zhong and it slightly satisfied his curiosity, he thought that he could enter the Fusion Realm. However, he was still stuck in the body tempering realm and his soul was still unable to merge with his body. He already thought of this happening, so he prepared himself mentally for this last resort to push his soul to merge with his body even with a demonic core. He planned to turn his soul into something devilish; back then he have been hearing stories of demons consuming humans to get stronger and there we also legends about devils eating human souls, so he got the idea that if he consumes human souls, his own soul could temporarily become devilish which could possibly merge with the demonic core. He has no concrete evidence that it could work, however he had no choice but to do it. Since devils are closely related to demons in legends, He wanted to try if those old stories could help him in his progress. Consuming human body was beyond what he can do, however consuming human soul was something he could accept. While holding the two seeker on their neck, Ming Li said viciously "So let us prove if the things that the old people told us were real." Ming Li slightly squeezed both their necks, and slowly injected a portion of his soul on their body. Slowly, the two screamed in terror and white mist flowed out from their eyes, ears, nose and mouth. It was clear that their souls were being extracted from their bodies! Ming Li does not know how to consume souls, however he have read back then that extracting souls and having your soul eat other people's soul would be the way to consume human's soul. Arhhhh! Two white souls entered into Ming Li's eyes, mouth, nose and ears! The two seeker slowly became lifeless as their soul was being consumed. After a few breaths, their body became withered lump of meat which Ming Li threw at his side while grinning. "So what the old people told us were actually real. We should really listen to them. Hahaha!" Consuming human's soul made him feel that it will enable him to fully merge his soul with his body. He glanced around and felt several aura coming towards him, then he shot forward to intercept some of them. Two seeker suddenly stopped their tracks, when they saw Ming Li coming at them with extreme speed. They immediately pulled out their weapons to attack Ming Li, however before they could even put up a fight, two ball of symbols hit their body causing them to shriek in pain. Ming Li easily grabbed their necks as he consumed their souls like a devil. He laughed loudly while consuming the soul of the two seeker, and threw their dead bodies away afterwards. After he consumed the two seeker, he felt his soul merging with his body, and his consciousness improved significantly. Then he eyed at the incoming seekers and continued his slaughter. The scene was a total nightmare. Everyone who faced Ming Li was instantly consumed without being able to fight back. When he fully consumed another five souls, every energy around him seemed more visible and his connection to these energy improved a lot. Ming Li laughed maniacally while corpses below him began to pile up. When he consumed ten seekers, he roared like a demon and his mental strength grew stronger. With these changes occurring, he felt extreme pleasure of consuming humans, which made him appear like a devil in the eyes of those seekers. The slaughter did not stop, and he consumed another five seekers. After the five died, the strength of his soul seem to boost his physical strength and enabled him to become physically stronger. His excitement grew as he grabbed more seeker trying to kill him and consumed them, the number of people he killed easily reached twenty, which made his lifespan increase tremendously! His lifespan became 200 years! When his lifespan increased, he felt greedy and wished for more improvement as he consumed more seeker. After consuming 25 seekers, he roared again and laughed wildly. He felt that his control for natural energy and his connection with his core became more profound. Four more seekers were left surrounding him. Ming Li looked at each of them slowly as his lips slowly raised into a smile Those four seekers were sweating profusely; They never imagined that someone in the body tempering realm could massacre everyone in such a terrifying way. It was as if a devil crawled out from the underworld. Ming Li eyed the remaining four and said. "With you guys, I think I can fully move to the Fusion Realm!" Everyone shuddered in fear as they slowly stepped back trying to flee. However, Ming Li simply waved his hands, creating five sphere of symbols to float towards them. Swallowed by their fear, everyone wasn't able to react properly and two were caught by torment. They screamed in pain and terror. The two remaining seeker felt more fear, and shouted "Please let us go, we will give you everything we have!" Ming Li laughed and said. "No need, I'll just take them!" Then he rushed towards the one who shouted and immediately decapitated his arms using heat wave. The man screamed as he pleaded for his life. Ming Li ignored his pleading, and grabbed his neck as he moved his face towards the man. White mist slowly flowed out of his face towards Ming Li, which made everyone stare in fright. The only seeker left able to move, decided to risk it and attacked Ming Li with his strongest skill. But, Ming Li simply laughed manically and waved his hands creating a red shield from the heat wave. Boom! When the attack landed, Ming Li was unscathed. Then, he leaped wildly towards the man gripping the man's leg, and using one of his hand to decapitate it. The man's pupils constricted and shouted in fear. He fell in the ground unable to stand with Ming Li landing in front of him. Ming Li then gripped his throat and absorbed his soul. "Just a bit more!" Ming Li's head turned towards the two seeker groveling in the ground because of torment, then he pulled their heads. "Haha! I can feel it fully merging!" He then absorbed the soul of one of them as he roared maniacally. The remaining seeker, trembled at the scene and could not utter a word. Ming Li looked at him with jet black eyes while licking his lips and said "Last one." The man screamed in terror and tried as hard as he can to fight back, but it was useless. His soul was still absorbed without mercy. When Ming Li absorbed the last one, his energy surged nonstop. His eyes shone with bright light as he threw his head back and laughed nonstop. His hair floated in the air and his clothes fluttered. His core hummed as a small black flame appeared, which made him feel that his soul completely merged to his body. This flame was exactly his soul flame! When everything was over, Ming Li glanced at Gui Zhong who was still affected by torment. Gui Zhong saw the entire scene which made him fear Ming Li to the bones. With his fear, he was unable to even think of escaping. He thought that his only way out was to beg for his life and offer Ming Li information he cannot resist. When everything was over, Ming Li felt scared of what happened. He felt that something extremely evil influenced his way of thinking.
