"Denied!?" Ming Li shouted in shock.

The man simply stared at him and nodded once, then looked away.

He travelled a long way and fought his way to reach the main Crystal Leaf sect, but he was not allowed to even step foot inside tehe sect.

His excitement almost faded away and turned into madness. He thought about using the marionette art by sacrificing the demonic energy from the demon's corpse in his cube just to control the man.

He wasn't even sure if the demonic energy inside the cube was enough to activate the skill, but he was willing to risk it because all of his efforts were rejected by two simple words.

He slowly reached out his hand trying to tap his cube with a bit of hesitation, when suddenly, he heard a surprised voice behind him. "Ming Li?"

Ming Li stopped his hands and looked behind him.

"It is really Ming Li!" Ming Li heard a sweet feminine voice.

When he recognized the people behind him, his face brightened and said "Duan Ho! Yu Lan! How are you?"

"We're doing good. Why are you here standing outside the sect?" Duan Ho asked.

"I travelled here from the branch sect hoping that I could enter the main sect." Ming Li answered in a low tone.

Duan Ho strode forward and stood directly infront of the man guarding the gate. "Senior, this is Ming Li, a member of the Crystal Leaf branch sect. I would like to request him to enter the sect as a visitor upon my rights as a member of the sky disciples."

The man looked at Duan Ho expressionlessly and waved his hands. Upon a single wave, the crystal door slowly opened. Ming Li was a bit shocked on Duan Ho's connections even in the main sect. "I am glad I chose him." Ming Li thought.

Duan Ho smiled at Ming Li as he guided him inside the main sect along with Yu Lan. When he entered the sect he immediately looked around trying to find something. Yu Lan got curious and asked "Ming Li what are you looking for??"

"Ah, It's nothing. I'm just curious if there is a bigger crystal leaf here like the one on the branch sect, but it seems like there is none in this place." Ming Li answered.

Yu Lan and Duan Ho slightly chuckled when they heard Ming Li's words.

"Look below you, there you will find the thing you're looking for." Yu Lan said playfully.

Ming Li stared below him and his eye went wide in shock. Below him was pure crystal platorm. It was so big there are even buildings built on it. It did not cover the whole sect but it was several times bigger than thhe branch sect's iconic crystal leaf. The crystal leaf floated at the entrance which served as the platform upon entry on the sect.

The whole land area of the sect is several meters recessed compared to the town's floor. So the crystal leaf hovered at the entrance steadily like it was there since the beginning of the sect.

Ming Li stared at the crystal leaf in daze thinking what would happen if he actually activated this crystal leaf. He immediately thought of himself using it making a whole army of enemies explode.

"Ming Li, let us tour you around." Yu Lan said.

Ming Li was startled and he woke up from his daydream then followed Duan Ho and Yu Lan. The two explained a lot of things to Ming Li regarding the sect. "The Main sect is basically the same as the branch sect. The only difference is that it has more resources and a lot of talented indivuduals."

While walking around, he saw more of those floating crystal leaf platforms. He saw a total of ten floating at random places in the sect. He thought about how those crystal leaves were created but he could never think of a way to replicate them.

Duan Ho suddenly cleared his throat as he boast "As I have said earlier at the entrance I am a sky disciple, which gives me privilage to have you enter as a guest and Yu Lan is also at the same group as me."

Yu Lan interrupted and said "Both of us were selected to be disciples of amazing masters here at the main sect, but the main sect does not just allow anyone to enter, even people from the branch sect." Then she paused for a moment.

When Ming Li heard this, he knitted as brow as if he will hear some bad news.

"You can only stay here for ten days at most as a visitor. If you wish to stay here permanently, you need to pass the test given by the sect. You are lucky that next week would be the day of the test and you can still join!"

Duan Ho looked apologeatic and sighed. "I feel bad that I can't help you stay permenently without taking the test."

Yu Lan patted Duan Ho's back while comforting him "Come on! Ming Li has been on the branch sect for several months, I believe he already mastered our sect's art and could pass the test easily."

Ming Li didn't think much of the situation as a problem. He simply smiled and said "Yes, I have learned a lot in the branch sect, and I think I can easily pass."

Becuase of her positive personality Yu Lan simply gave a bright smile, but on the other hand, Duan Ho was still worried on Ming Li's chances of passing, since it hasn't been long when Ming Li joined the sect. He was sure that Ming Li's mastery of the art wouldn't be at the level where he could pass the test.

Since they can't do anything about it. They just toured around the city the whole day. While going around, Ming Li couldn't help but eye on the demon's grace being sold on the market. He memorized all of their location so that he could buy some whenever he was free.

On one street, Ming Li noticed that the people were acting weird. All of the merchant's were not making any noise and the people who were on the street started to disperse.

"What is happening on that street?" Ming Li curiously asked.

Duan Ho answered. "Look over there, that girl is Chao Mei, she is the granddaughter of the current sect master. Beside him is Ying Hung, the one who is considered to be the most talented at his age group. The seemingly playful boy with them is Chao Fuhua, I don't know much about him. However I am sure he is the brother of Chao Mei who is rumored to be a genius at all the arts of the sect."

Yu Lan added "I heard that Chao Fuhua would take the test to officially enter the sect next week, the sect master required him to take the test even though he is from the same family, so that he could set a good example for the sect."

Ming Li didn't care much and just walked away. Duan Ho started to tell random stories again while walking, after a bit, he said "While staying in the main sect our levels increased significantly, I think it would be good if you can enter the sect too."

Yu Lan pinched him as she said "You are boasting of your level again, just because you rose to 9th level extremely fast with the help of some nature's dew."

Then Yu Lan glanced at Ming Li while squinting her eyes "Ming Li, Why is it that I can't determine your level?"

Duah Ho also looked at Ming Li and he noticed that he can't also tell Ming Li's level. This gave him some unusual feelings, while waiting for Ming Li's response.

Ming Li then said with a smile "Oh that... I am a seeker, currently at the 2nd level of Body Tempering Realm. I consumed a lot of nature's dew to achieve my level."

Duan Ho's and Yu Lan's eyes went wide when they heard this. They thought that their growth was abnormally fast compared to others, however Ming Li became a seeker in just a short while.

"Ar..aren't you at the fifth level when we met?" Duan Ho asked while stuttering.

"Yes, but I decided to focus on my level since I was being left behind." Ming Li smiled then walked away towards one shop.

Duan Ho and Yu Lan sighed and thought that there was really something amazing about Ming Li.

On the shop that Ming Li went, he saw a single demon's grace. This demon's grace was of higher quality compared to anything he have seen so far. Every leaves of it was full of vigor as if it absorbed enormous amount of demonic energy. When Ming Li was about to reach for the plant, he heard a voice behind him.

"I would like to buy that demon's grace."

Ming Li looked back furiously and was about to say something when he saw the beautiful woman behind him. She had a skin as fine as jade, with perfect phoenix like eyes, and fierce red lips. Her slender body extruded elegance not seen on normal women.

The young woman looked back at Ming Li and said "I said that I want to buy it first."
