On his way back after buying thousand of plants outside the sect, two disciples blocked his path. Both of them are at the eight level beginners realm. The two resembles each other and they also wore the same clothes, but one is tall and the other is short. When Ming Li goes out of the sect, he always wears a hood and covers his face. Also he exposes his crystal leaf emblem so that the black spider guild would not be suspicious of him. So when the two disciples approached him he knew that they are from the same sect, since people in the town won't dare to offend members of the crystal leaf sect who is the sole supplier of nature's dew. "Fellow crystal leaf disciple we are the Wei brothers from the Wei clan. Would you mind coming with us for a bit." The short man said arrogantly. Ming Li didn't respond and only stared at them silently. The two disciples advanced forward and released their energy. They slowly tried to pressure Ming Li so that he would come quietly. However when Ming Li felt their energy, he quickly ran without hesitation. The two didn't expect the quick response from Ming Li, but they did not allow themselves to lose Ming Li. After almost losing his life several times since he met his master, Ming Li became wary of his surroundings. When he felt the energy of the two disciple, he ran away without even analyzing if they were actually planning to harm him. His speed was almost as fast as the two disciples. However they used some form of footwork to catch up to him fast. Ming Li tried to go directly to the sect to hide in a hall to avoid fighting. While running, the Wei brothers attacked him several times attracting attention of some people. On one alley a young man stood staring at the fleeing figure of Ming Li and he slowly murmured "So he's still here. Also that badge is from the crystal leaf sect. I will make him pay!" Ming Li successfully entered the sect and directly went to the creation hall. The Wei brothers stopped pursuing him when he entered the sect since they will only worsen the situation. Ming Li looked back and sighed. Luckily he decided to escape without thinking or else it might have been too late. "I need to learn a strong enough skill aside from torment to defend myself. Since I am pretty weak, I can only think of one way for now." Ming Li headed directly into the interior of the creation hall. When he saw the creation hall master, he immediately bowed deeply. Before the hall master could even utter a word, Ming Li said "Hall master please teach me how to create crystal leaf!" The hall master was a speechless for a while. The first time Ming Li went in the creation hall, he just left after he learned the art to create nature's dew and never came back. Now that he stepped foot again in the creation hall he hurriedly requested to learn another art. The hall master smiled wryly, he is isn't really against Ming Li learning another art, but he still clearly remember the fact that Ming Li somehow used him. However the fact that he can't uncover the process of creating the divine nature's dew made him think highly of Ming Li's potential. The hall master tapped his cube and a scroll flew out. "Here this is the crystal leaf creation art, since you are a disciple of the crystal leaf sect you have all the right to learn the art." Ming Li grabbed the art and bowed to the hall master. He immediately opened the scroll and studied it until his consciousness went inside its space. The hall master was calm as he looked at Ming Li and said "So he can really learn an art faster than normal people. I can't imagine what he will create with the crystal leaf creation art." Ming Li's consciousness started to leisurely stroll inside the space of the scroll. The place is full of plants and trees, flowers bloom everywhere, and the concentration of plant energy is thick. However, he saw some peculiar plants, some plants are burning, some plants are frozen, others are floating, and there are even plants suddenly exploding. The weird thing is that he doesn't recognize these plants but they felt somehow familiar to him. He sat crossed legged and observed the burning plant. It has blue flames flickering all over its body. Ming Li even tested if the flames were real. He never thought that a plant could continue to burn like the way he is seeing it. It appeared like the plant was using some sort of skill based on its property. He stared at the plant for hours. Time passed by slowly as a trace of enlightenment appeared on his eyes. After another hour, his smile became wider and his eyes glittered with interest. After full five hours he said "This plant is made from different plants combined, creating a new plant with the fire property that can exhibit a form of skill. If this plant is transformed into some form of magical item, it can probably be used as weapon. So this is the origin of those crystal leaves!" Ming Li stood up and studied another plant. The plant has a whirlwind surrounding its body swirling around with compressed force. It was a small whirlwind, yet Ming Li couldn't even dare to hold the plant, since his hands was instantly deflected by the whirlwind when he tried to grab it. This time it only took Ming Li a few minutes and he stood up studying the next plant. He continued observing the plants for an hour. He studied almost five hundred plants in just an hour. After the hundredth plant, he only needed a glance to fully understand the plant. His understanding of the art grew deeper, and he kept glancing at everything until he finished studying all plants within his line of sight. His eyes grew bright and he plucked a leaf from a flower. energy swirled around him and a pattern appeared below him. The plant which he plucked the leaf from slowly withered as grains of energy flew into the leaf he is holding, and after a few breaths, the leaf slowly crystallized transforming into a single crystal leaf! When the crystal leaf was fully formed, Ming Li opened his eyes and it was crystal clear. It didn't emit any bright glow, however the hall master instantly understood that he completely comprehended the art. The hall master was again moved by Ming Li's display of talent. It only took him a few hours to fully comprehend the art. Some people would not even be able to learn it even if they want to for the rest of their lives, yet Ming Li easily comprehended it without help. Ming Li stood up and bowed at the hall master and returned the art. "Thank you hall master, I have gained a bit of knowledge from this art. I wish to stay here for a while and study the art more." The hall master was stunned when he heard that Ming Li wished to stay. He didn't object to this, and even allowed Ming Li to occupy a small space within the hall where he could focus. The space has three walls and open on one side so people can see what the disciple is doing. These small rooms are intended for special disciples who are tasked to create crystal leaves for the Main Sect. Only hall masters and above can freely walk in around this place, so Ming Li couldn't transfer to any room as he wish. He was satisfied with the small room and thanked the hall master. Ming Li only insisted to stay because someone from within the sect is after him. Even though rumors of him being backed up by the apothecary pavilion second head and hall master was known to almost every disciple, he was still targeted. He knew that this enemy is no small fry and surely has a backing from someone in a high position. When the hall master left him alone, Ming Li sat down and brought out some of the useless plants he kept buying so that people would not be able to know the formula for his divine nature's dew. he slowly cut some stem, roots, and random parts of each plant. Then his eyes started to become crystal clear as he murmured some incantation. Several symbols appeared below him and his hands moved swiftly as he attached the parts of various plants together. The movement of his hands slowly seem illusory, it's movement was precise and beautiful. It only took him three breaths to completely patch up a new plant. The plant looked like a doll sewed together with various parts from other dolls, however it slowly looked like it was melting and formed into a new plant! The new plant was different and it seems to be full of energy. Ming Li plucked a leaf on the plant and did a one handed incantation. After that the plant slowly turned into particles of energy swirling gracefully directly entering the leaf. It slowly crystallized until if formed into a crystal leaf! Ming Li smiled in satisfaction and suddenly crushed the leaf.
