The Village Chief released his energy and the villagers below trembled. They have long since forgotten the terrifying strength of the Village Chief. He used his energy to accompany his words making his every word echo throughout the area. "Fellow Villagers, Village Elder has been cured of the poison, I was also cured, and two more great seeker will be cured! A young alchemist gave us the pill to purify the poison. This young alchemist is here standing behind me, His name Ming Li!" Ming Li stepped forward appearing before the crowd. The Village Chief continued his speech "Young Master Ming Li gifted us with the formula for the miraculous pill, and even offered to assist us in this endeavor for he will concoct the pill himself for us if he have the needed herbs!" The crowds gasped and different conversations could be heard. Most of them expressed their gratitude but a few was doubtful about it. Village Chief continued "I will personally lead the hunt for these herbs to allow our Village to prosper again! Please be patient and we seek your trust." The Village Chief bowed and headed back into the room. The villagers continued their conversation on their opinion to Village Chief's statement. He called for a guard to attend to Ming Li and gave him the best room in the building. He also notified the guard assist Ming Li on his every needs. Ming Li did not refuse the offer and bowed to the Chief as he headed to the room to rest. Ming Li Happily walked through the corridor to his room. He felt extremely delighted because this is his first time being treated like a prince. The room was wide and luxurious, It was filled with different ornaments which made it seem elegant. The Guard offered him food and stood near his room. Ming Li was extremely satisfied even though he did not receive any reward yet. Being extremely poor a month ago, he felt that he was already reaping his rewards. Ming Li stayed in the room and ate luxurious foods and slept for a while. When he woke up, he decided to stroll in the town and act like a prince to look at his villagers. He was guarded by a person who received one of the pill. He is the head of the guards in the village and was left in the Village tasked to guard Ming Li. The Village Chief with the Village Elder and One Strong Seeker left the village to look for the rare herbs needed to create the pill. Everyone that saw Ming Li bowed in respect. Ming Li walked confidently and looked at several stuff along the way. Every Item he seem to take interest in was freely given to him by the villagers. Some even offered him women as gifts, but he refused them to maintain his heroic character. His smile was getting bigger as he felt like he was the ruler of this village. When he returned to his room he had several items which he took interest in. He continued this for several days. He felt gratified with the feeling that he owns the village. As he was walking proudly like a prince, he almost tripped when he saw Chao Shi nearing him. Chao Shi laughed and said "Seems like you are enjoying your time here." Ming Li replied shyly like a kid who has been caught doing something embarrassing "No I am just trying to help the villagers." He also introduced Chao Shi as an extremely talented Doctor who taught him the way to alchemy. The guard gaped in shock and hurriedly bowed his head. "This Junior is extremely grateful to your disciple. Your disciple is extremely righteous and gifted. The Village owed him a great debt. As his master, we owe you as much as we owe him. You can stay in the Village Chief residence as long as you want." "Do not worry, It is Ming Li who decided to help the whole town, no need to treat me in such a way, but I would gladly accept your offer since I am a bit tired." The group headed back to the village with the village guard flustered as he was accompanying the two. He could not gauge Chao Shi's strength so it only meant that he was realms above him. He also did not dare to ask and only walked silently, careful of his every step. When they reached the room, Chao Shi closed the door and sat down on the chair. He produced a blank scroll and imprinted it with patterns. He then tossed the scroll to Ming Li, Ming Li grabbed it and checked the scroll. He did not understand the pattern but he still imprinted it to his soul. Chao Shi said "Take out your Cube and place it above that scroll then drop your blood on the Cube and create a soul connection with the Cube." Ming did not clearly understood Chao Shi but he still did what he said. Ming Li placed the stone above the scroll and dropped his blood. The blood spread to the cube dying it red. The cube then slowly turned purple and Ming Li's consciousness drifted into the cube. Inside he he saw the blank room of the cube, at the top of the room the seal on the scroll can be seen. At the center of the seal, he saw a face protruding out of the wall. It made Ming Li felt a bit creeped out, but he still made his consciousness touch the forehead of the face. He immediately felt a soul tread forming with him and the face which made him realize that this face is the spirit of the cube! He did not know that this item contain a spirit. When he retracted his consciousness, he saw the soul thread connecting his core and the cube. When he channeled his energy on the cube, it started to change shape, and turned into an actual cube! Ming got extremely excited when he saw this. He controlled the cube and made it float. He played with the cube like a kid with a new toy. Also, he learned that it can become invisible anytime and only he can feel it. "So this is the real Cube! So that's why the old man can make stuff appear out of thin air. The cubes I saw being sold was shaped randomly. So you need to do some sort of ritual to make it an actual cube." Ming played with the cube until he got tired. Chao Shi on the other hand has entered deep meditation ignoring Ming Li. Ming was now shy to act like a spoiled prince in the town since Chao Shi was already with him. Since he got nothing better to do, he decided to create pills from the leftover herbs from his journey to sell them when he got the chance. He created pills till night and for several days straight for the sake of earning more profit! The guard's respect for him grew, since he did not stop practicing his alchemy for several days. The guard thought "So that's how he achieved his level in alchemy. He trains nonstop without rest. I should be ashamed. I am way behind against a kid. I should also train when I have a chance" Ten days passed and the Village Chief along with the Village Elder came back to the town. They have five sets of the ingredients which can create fifty pills! Ming Li was surprised on how these mere three people gathered these many herbs at a mere ten days. The Village Chief handed him the herbs as he looked at Ming Li happily. Ming Li took all the herbs and slowly threw all the herbs in his side making it disappear and said "I will stay in my room for several days to create the pills. At most I can create thirty pills with these. then seniors please excuse me". The Village Chief nodded and left again along with the three people. When he entered the room Chao Shi was still deep in meditation. It has been several days, but he has no signs of waking up. So Ming Li started to create several batch of pills. He failed seven times till he created thirty pills. It took him Five straight days to create all those pills. Even though he was extremely exhausted, he felt good when he glanced at the excess rare herbs he received for free. He then kept all those excess herbs which he plans to use to make hundreds of pills to help him in his growth. He realized that he still has no talent refining natural energy even when his core sized increased. He tried several times to mediate and refine natural energy but the progress was extremely slow, more like nothing changed. He was also confused why he was still talent less even though his core was now as big as someone who can be considered gifted. He didn't put too much thought on it and just decided to rely on pills for his training for now. He then handed all the pills to the head guard and ordered him to give it to the Chief. The Head guard complied without question. As days passed by, several more people were being cured and hundreds of herbs were being given to Ming Li. Since there are more people completely cured now the speed of gathering the herbs became faster. After three more months Village become more lively. Ming Li was being treated as a hero and Chao Shi has long since been gone without a word. Around half of the village was already cured, the other half was still waiting for the additional batch of pills. Ming Li also kept replacing the formula with other various herbs, his reason was that he developed several formula for the cure and that it was more advisable to use different types of herb since the amount of herbs on the first formula was getting hard to get. He actually have more than enough of the original herbs to create hundreds of pills but he was still trying to take advantage of the opportunity to gather hundreds more of different herbs. Right now the amount of herbs he have easily exceeded the amount that the entire town owns. Ming Li was extremely happy with this and for three more months he did nothing but concoct pills. His level remained the same and Chao Shi frequently goes out of the Village and when he returns, he stays in meditation for days. Ming Li has no idea what he has been doing and he did not bother to know. If Chao Shi knew what he has been doing he would probably get scolded. They happily stayed in the village for and entire seven months, along with concocting pills, he has been reading a lot of books. He was ignorant to the realms, but he was treated as a hero on the village so he can access any book he wished to read. This was actually the first time he had time to learn. All thirteen years of his life was spent trying to survive and looking for food. Several Magical Items was also given to him. He can now say that he has been fully paid for his services. On the seventh month, Chao Shi came back weak and rugged. The Village Chief personally assisted him and Chao Shi took a lot of pills and meditated for three days before he recovered. When he woke up from meditation, the Village Chief asked him what happened. He said "In this past eighth months I have been trying to seal the poison in the forest. The poison was extremely hard to seal. I have been attacked by the poison for several times and needed to come back to the Village to recuperate. Luckily in my last attempt I have completed the sealing formation, completely sealing the poison." The Village Chief eyes went wide as he heard this. He was curious why the poison did not appear again after several months. He planned to seal the poison himself when he got the chance but he wasn't even sure how to start. But Chao Shi completely sealed the poison for them! The people who heard this became emotional and thanked Chao Shi from the bottom of their hearts. It took him eight months to seal the poison yet he did not ask anything in return. When they left Chao Shi to rest, the Village Chief proceeded with the preparation to announce everything. Every citizen was gathered near the Village Chief residence as the Village Chief stood at the terrace of the top floor. The Village Elder then exclaimed "Villagers, We have been greatly blessed for two heroes came upon our lands. Young Master Ming Li was the one who cured as all. We haven't even repaid them of their kindness, yet they did us another great favor!" Every Villager was silent, but deep in their hearts was respect for Ming Li and his master. The Village Elder Continued "The poison have been plaguing us more than ten years. In these ten years no one knew where the poison came from. But in these past months no one was poisoned anymore. I would like announce that the poison has been completely sealed by Senior Chao Shi and the Village is now free of the poison!" Everyone screamed and cheered in happiness as soon as they heard the words that the poison is now sealed. The cheering and conversation lasted for hours. When night came, everyone prepared a feast to celebrate this event. Ming Li and Chao Shi was treated as important as the Village Chief. They were given special titles as heroes and was given a lot of privilege. The town celebrated for two straight days until everything calmed down.
