He woke up in a stone room illuminated only by the faint light coming off a white orb on a pedestal in the middle of the room. He tried to look around before realizing he could see the whole room at once.
Huh, I don't remember having 360° vision, he thought as he started to move towards the only exit before realizing he couldn't move.
"That's weird, let's try Status"

"Hmmm, I wonder if that's any good, though definitely choosing Elementals"
"Demons sound like a bad idea with the whole divine quest thing going on"
"So Constructs and Lizardmen"
After the monsters were chosen an orb of light appeared suddenly and when it receded a small blonde girl about 6 inches tall was in its place.
"Hello Firstborn"
"Huh"
"My name is Kara, and I am your dungeon pixie"
"Hold on, Why did you call me firstborn"
"Your title is firstborn silly let me show you"
(Titles)
-Firstborn
You were the first dungeon.
+1 starting monster choice
"Ohhh, so that's why I got three choices, did the other three get the same reward?"
"Nope they each got different rewards depending on their birth order"
"That makes sense I guess, though call me John"

"Ok John" Kara twirled in the air before stating, "Let's start with the basics, try saying dungeon store"
"Dungeon store?"

"Good job," said Kara clapping
"Now let's try bringing up the dungeon map"
He waited for a second then said, "Dungeon map"
The map showed a single room with the entrance labeled.
He looked at the map before asking, "how do I make more rooms"
"I was getting to that, now it's simple just will your mana to break down the wall"
"Mana?" He questioned
"Mana is that force inside you"
As soon as Kara pointed this out he realized he could feel that force and willed it to carve out a door opposite to the present door.
"Whoa, " he muttered surprised to seen stone disappear
"As a dungeon mana naturally follows your will, try summoning a lizard man"
When he tried to bring a lizardman into existence he realized he could see in his mind what they looked like and the different types there were but the only one accessible was the basic Lizardman.
As he willed it so a 5 foot tall, scale-covered humanoid with the head of a lizard appeared in front of him.
"This is fun"
Kara laughed before getting serious, "you must expand your dungeon and defend your core"
Surprised by the sudden change in the tone he asked, "Why"
Kara responded by saying, "If the core is broken or taken from your dungeon you will die. The inhabitants of this world have been told by the gods about the dungeons and they told them that by taking your core they will get a major power-up"
"Whoa"
Kara continued, "But don't worry all the peoples of this world are tier one for now but they will start to grow and advance now that you and your fellow cores are starting to purify mana"

He was silent before saying, "Well then we should get started"
Kara smiled before saying, "We have a 30 day grace period before anyone can enter"
He looked relieved and said, "Well that gives us some breathing room"
He then excitedly got to work carving the first floor of his dungeon.
He started by carving a long hallway from the door he made earlier. At the end of that hallway, he made a massive circular room where he planned to put a small village of Lizardmen.
"Is there an easy way to put an environment in here or do I have to plan the whole thing out from scratch," He asked hopefully
"For the first floor you can buy a basic ecosystem but for later floors, you will have to do it by hand"
"Oh ok"
He opened the dungeon store

He tried the environment tab but he couldn't find it.
"Is there an easy way to find stuff in the store," he asked confused
"Just focus on what you want and will the menu to it as you did with mana," said Kara cheerfully
"Oh," he said feeling stupid for not thinking of it himself.
He did just that and found it.
(Flora/Fauna)
-Basic ecosystem
Basic functioning 1st-floor ecosystem
Cost- 200 DP
He bought it and watched as the whole first floor transformed.
The stone turned to dirt as grass and trees sprouted from the floor.
After that, he summoned more Lizardmen, 4 more males and 5 females. The females look identical to the males except for slightly wider hips.
"Start to build a village and mate, " he commanded
"As you wish creator, " said the first Lizard Man created
After that, he put a hallway coming off the circular room mirror to the first hallway.
"Let's put some traps in this hallway"
He looked through the trap menu for some basic traps.
(Traps)
-Pitfall
Pit of wooden spikes covered by basic camouflage.
Cost- 50 DP
-Dart Shooter
Small launchers that shoot darts when foreign mana signatures walk by.
Cost- 100 DP
-Falling Logs
Logs that fall onto intruders when they step on the pressure plates
Cost- 100 DP
After buying the traps he filled the hallway with various traps and put a few in the earlier hallway.
"Ugg" He suddenly felt weak and couldn't tap into his mana.
"What's happening"
Kara floated over and explained, "When you use all your mana you will become weak"
"How do I get more mana," he questioned
Kara tilted her head and said, "Every day you will get 1000 mana per floor up to floor 5, and you get more dungeon points when you kill intruders or if you have a certain amount of intruders in your dungeon at a given time"
"Ok so I want to have intruders in my dungeon but I don't want them to get to close to my core"
"Exactly," cheered Kara
"I guess I just have to wait till tomorrow"
Kara smiled saying, "Go go sleep I will wake you up when you have more mana or if something major happens"
"Thanks, Kara you're the best"
"I know"
With that, he closed his figurative eyes or really just moved his vision from the dungeon completely and slept for the first time in this new world.

Becoming something he is taught to hate he leaves the church as he decides to fuck it, I may as well open the gates of hell and have some fun on the way. The MC's metal development in unique due to specified circumstances so he will rarely act like an 8-year-old, and he is slightly sociopathic. This is my first ever story so criticism would be great. I also have heavy dyslexia along with some other metal 'uniqueness' so this whole story is a big F you to it but I am sorry for any and all inevitable mistakes. (I don't own the cover photo. 8 171Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
