(Xituna’s POV)

“Who are you?”(Xituna)

“Hmph you don’t recognise us mother.”(unknown woman)

“Why do you call me mother?”(Xituna)

“I call you mother because you are my mother. You created us.”(Unknown woman)

“So you are my divine helper.”(Xituna)

“That is correct mother.”(Unknown woman)

“Okay then. What is your name.”(Xituna)

“Mou you already forgot our names. Very well then I am the dryad Myrica.”(Myrica)

The tree then moves forward and talks slowly like it did before.

“I am … the … treant ... Elmtalon… mother.”(Elmtalon)

I look to the side away from them and quietly say.

“So you are the one I created. Sorry but I was just a bit surprised that my magic worked.”(Xituna)

Myrica runs up to me and hugs me.

“Our mother is so cute.”(Myrica)

“That … she is … sister.”(Elmtalon)

“Sister?”(Xituna)

I tilt my head to the side with confusion and curiosity.

“Hehe. Yep we were born together so we are siblings.”(Myrica)

“Is Elmtalon your brother or sister?”(Xituna)

“Elmtalon is neither they are neither male nor female. I either refer to them with they or them or sometimes I refer to them as my brother.”(Myrica)

“Treants … have no … need … for … gender … differentiation.”(Elmtalon)

“Any future treants and dryads will also be siblings as they will always be born in pairs.”(Myrica)

“Why is that?”(Xituna)

“Both the treant and dryad share the same body and their souls are connected. The body of the dryad is not real it is made using magic the real body is the treant. As long as the treant is alive the dryad will live and as long as the dryad lives the treant will live too.”(Myrica)

“That must be because you both shared the same body in the tree. Also how do you know all of this?”(Xituna)

“Goddess Ziella bestowed this knowledge upon me so that I can be your advisor.”(Myrica)

“I will have to thank big sister Ziella next time I see her and Myrica.”(Xituna)

“Yes Mother.”(Myrica)

“Can you let go of me.”(Xituna)

Myrica is still hugging me and has shown no signs of letting go.

“Just a little longer.”(Myrica)

(Xyrra POV)

It has been about two thousand years since I made Ceirlean and Eslise my divine helpers. They spent the first hundred years exploring and getting used to the world. After that, they have worked hard every day. If I didn’t tell them to, they probably wouldn’t rest either. Even after all this time they still refer to me as their mother.

They are currently both doing the same job of protecting and helping the sea. There is no one to negotiate with and there is currently no threats to the sea. They do help make my job easier though as I do not need to cover as much sea a day as I did before.

Life has significantly evolved again. There are now some larger life forms. In the sea, there are now whales, larger sharks and various types of squid and octopus. On land, there are some animals that look like they could be from the earth with some slight differences such as colour and size. There are also some birds now they are only small birds such as robins, but they are still there. Does this mean that my next sister will be born soon? I have not yet seen anything that looks humanoid.

Moving onto land I go to visit Xituna as I have not seen her in a few hundred years. I slowly stroll through the woods looking for Xituna when I hear some strange sounds.

“KYUN KYUN KYUN”

I start moving towards the sound the closer I get the louder it is. It also does not seem to stop. I eventually reach a clearing. Moving into it the clearing the sight I see is something I thought I would never see. In the centre is Xituna and her dryad Myrica who are both laying on the grown covered in … foxes. They are hugging foxes they are fluffing foxes and the foxes are climbing on them.

I turn around to leave but Xituna sees me before I can leave. She runs towards me carrying two foxes.

“Big sister I haven't seen you in forever.”(Xituna)

“Xituna you know that for us goddesses a few hundred years is not that long. How have you been”(Xyrra)

I pat her head.

“Hehe. Myrica and Elmtalon have been keeping me company and of course the foxes have been.”(Xituna)

“Where did you get the foxes from you didn’t create more did you?”(Xyrra)

She looks away from me.

“I might have made a few more and then the might have reproduced over the years and grew in number. But they are so cute and fluffy.”(Xituna)

She holds a fox up to me. Its eyes stare into mine.

I cross my arms and look away.

“Fine I admit that they are cute but you are supposed to be working.”(Xyrra)

Xituna looks at the ground upset.

“yes big sister.”(Xituna)

“you can play with foxes occasionally but only after you have done your work. How long have you been playing with the foxes anyway.”(Xyrra)

She replies to my question with a hint of nervousness in her voice.

“Only a few hours.”(Xituna)

“Myrica how long has she been playing with the foxes.”(Xyrra)

“As mother said only a few hours auntie.”(Myrica)

I can tell that she is not telling the truth by the slight bit of nervousness in her voice. I release a small amount of condensed divine energy towards Myrica. She stands up straight as a board with fear in her eyes when it reaches her.

“How long has she been playing with the foxes Myrica.”(Xyrra)

This time I say it in a more gentle but menacing voice.

“The last eighty years.”(Myrica)

“Myrica!”(Xituna)

“sorry mother but your sister is too scary to go against.”(Myrica)

I stop releasing my divine energy and Myrica relaxes.

“But eighty years what have you been doing about work?”(Xyrra)

“It's so boring it’s the same everyday nothing new ever happens.”(Xituna)

“But it is very important work to help big sister Ziella’s world.”(Xyrra)

She looks up to me with the cutest face I have ever seen her make while also holding a cute fox.

“Okay fine then you can play with them a little longer.”(Xyrra)

“yay”(Xituna)

She holds the fox up to me and I take it. It really is fluffy. I start to stroke the fox and fluff its tail a bit. Without knowing it we spent the next two years fluffing the foxes. We would have continued if a young girl with large red wings and bird-like legs had not fallen from the sky.
