“MISSILE INCOMING” (sailor)

I dive to the deck of the ship to prepare for impact.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt

Kaboom.

Before the missile impacts, the CIWS shoots it down. Getting up I run across the deck to the bridge holding the message I need to deliver. The communications from the radio room to the bridge have been broken.

After climbing up the stairs of the superstructure I enter the bridge.

“Captain I have a message from the admiral.”(protagonist)

“Bring it here.”(Captain)

I walk over to the captain and hand it to him.

“Thank you, now get back to your post.”(Captain)

“Yes sir”(Protagonist)

After saluting, I ran out of the bridge and down the superstructure back to my position. I am about to go under the deck when there is an explosion on the starboard side of the ship knocking me off my feet. As I am getting up there is another explosion this causes me to fall overboard.

SPLASH

“MAN OVERBOARD”(sailor)

I’m sinking. I can't swim I think the explosion broke my arm and leg.

So this is how I die.

I could have died of old age with the one I love. Or I could have died heroically in battle. Instead, I drown.

Minutes go by and I can no longer breathe. I continue to sink.

A few more minutes go by and everything goes black.

I am still conscious? Didn’t I die?

An unknown amount of time passes. Eventually, I start to see light.

In front of me is a bright light with the faint outline of a person in the centre.

“Hello my name is Ziella and I am a goddess.”(Ziella)

“Hello goddess Ziella.”(Protagonist)

“You sound very calm for someone who just died.”(Ziella)

“Well I can't do much about it can I. I also didn’t have any friends or family who are alive who are waiting for me to return.”(Protagonist)

“Well I can do something. I am going to give you the chance at a second life. I ask you to help me.”(Ziella)

“What do I have to do?”(Protagonist)

“You see I am a new goddess and I am creating my first world. I can't look after the entire thing myself I need some help. This is where you come in I want you to become the goddess of the sea. It will be your job to protect the sea and also oversee the magic element of water. You will have full control over who can use the water element. You will also be the second oldest of four sisters. The oldest being me and then two younger than you.”(Ziella)

“Why did you choose me?”(protagonist)

“I needed someone who has a connection to the sea and also preferably someone who did either in the sea or the death was caused by the sea or at least water. You lived by the sea you often visited the sea and you were in the Royal Navy. You were also the last person in the entire universe to die in the sea when I summoned you. Now, will you accept?”(Ziella

After thinking about it for a while I make a decision.

“I will accept your offer goddess Ziella.”(Protagonist)

“Excellent and please call me Ziella or big sister.”(Ziella)

As she says this her form becomes clearer. She looks like she is in her twenties. She has long golden hair and bright golden eyes. She is about 6 foot tall and is wearing long white and silver dress.

“I can see you now.”(Protagonist)

“Of course you can you are no longer mortal. You are now the goddess of the sea and my little sister. Now we should get you into your new body before we run out of time. Have fun and work hard in your new life. Also if you need help or you want to talk to someone you can always come to me just think about talking to me and I will respond.”(Ziella)

“I will big sister”(Protagonist)

Once again everything goes dark.

After an indeterminate amount of time, I awaken once again in my new life.
