《Modern Cultivator - The Sperm Who Cultivates》Chapter 4 - Mutated Bodies

After Mato’s transformation, he felt complete bliss. He felt that his prior transformation which included only his outer exterior was vastly inferior to his new transformation. This was like comparing a peasant’s breakfast to a king's! The peasant would only have the bare minimum while the king would have plenty and even some in excess!
“Ha….Haha….HAHAHAHAHA!” Mato couldn’t help but laugh. He could feel the lifeforce flowing through his meridians like a stream. He could even change the force at which the life energy travelled. At one moment it flowed like a turtle and at other times it was like a raging tiger leaping through the forest. He felt that he had already mastered these ‘so-called” meridians.
Tamo's head twitched as she heard Mato’s laughter. She wanted to look at Mato, but her sight never left the foreign entities that were travelling toward them.
Mato sensed Tamo’s anxiousness and looked over.
He was surprised. During his transformation, all of his attention had been on his own body, none of it could be spared to keep track of his surroundings. This would be a problem if he transformed again in the future.
Mato glanced over and saw two tadpole-like bodies. Bodies of white mass flew through the liquid. Massive pimples of overstretched skin were sitting quietly on their bodies. The pimples looked hard and rough but at the same time looked ready to explode. His head began to thump, his instincts were telling him something. The white light that seemed to be inside of those pimples was the source of his anxiousness. Mato could feel that the energy about to burst out was life energy!
Mato could feel the white lite radiating off of those entities but something was off. Why were these two entities just floating?
Mato moved in closer, trying to probe for any reaction.
Mato’s head tingled. His instincts were telling him to be wary but he paid them no heed. Mato’s transformation had lead to a quantitative leap in his abilities. He could feel the life energy rush throughout his meridians. Even though he hasn’t tested out the use of his meridians. He could tell that all of his natural abilities had increased. His strength, constitution and mind were all backed up by the circulation of life energy. He felt that nothing could be of any challenge to him any longer.
Mato swam forth with the bearing of a king. The liquid surrounding him was constantly being repelled by his body. The liquid around him began to churn and quake. Large amounts of vibrations swept through the surrounding area with Mato at the hypocenter.
Tamo couldn’t help but back away. The force produced by Mato was too strong.
“Are we still the same? How could he possess so much power!” Tamo was confused. It was only a few moments ago when they had met and now Mato had become something so powerful.
Vibrations swept forward through the liquid. The vibrations touched everything in its path. The vibrations then bounced back giving information of its surroundings. Visions appeared in Mato's head, showing a blurry image of the surrounding tunnel. Mato’s instincts started humming. The visions started to reorganize themselves into a proper picture. When Mato focused his mind he could see everything. His vision was now like a 360-degree camera. He could see Tamo, who was behind him, being swept away by his vibrations. When he focused his mind forward he saw the two foreign entities approaching.

Vibrations swept forth and were felt by the two growth-ridden bodies. Their tails twitched erratically as they were stimulated by the vibrations. The large boils on their heads started to light up. Their two growth ridden bodies groggily waking up.
Light started to burst out of their skin, showing the true nature of their bodies.
Mato could see thicks hides of durable skin surrounding the bodies of the two creatures. It looked flaky and looked as it was about to fall off. The boils on their bodies were flowing with life energy. Mato could sense the life energy, it was forcefully pulsing through their bodies. Light was pulsing back and forth with the boils as the source.
These two bodies have massive amounts of life force in their body but it seems as it is too much for them to handle.
Flakes of skin started to drift through the liquid. The two bodies seemed to get smaller and smaller as more skin started to fall off. White liquid started to pour out of holes where too much skin had fallen off.
Mato couldn’t help but be disgusted.
The two bodies then began to swim forward. Their tails moved without a purpose, seemingly bashing the liquid relentlessly with no goal. It looked like this was their first time swimming.
The two bodies then started to get a feel for swimming in the liquid and sensed Mato’s presence.
They couldn’t help but feel the massive amount of life energy emanating out of Mato. They charged directly at Mato.
White liquid trailed behind them, as the boils on their body were pulsing desperately.
Mato couldn’t help but feel displeasure. Mato’s instincts rumbled and signalled to him that they had lethal intentions.
Mato was at a loss. These two foreign entities looked too similar to Tamo and himself. He could tell that these two bodies were once similar to both Mato and Tamo. Something had changed them.
It was a pity. He had no choice but to put these fools down. They had threatened him and the only appropriate response was to attack back.
“Vibrational Destruction” Mato uttered.
Mato was enlightened once again. Large vibrations emanated off of Mato’s body. The vibrations came out from his body rushing forward. They were like a shot coming from an air cannon. They were formless, invisible to the naked eye.
Tamo looked at Mato questioningly. All she could see was slow moving ripples travelling to those two bodies.
“Why isn’t he moving,” Tamo said, “If he doesn’t move those scary looking things might hurt him.”
Tamo inched forward, preparing her body in case Mato ever needed help.
The two creatures swam like drunks. Their tails not moving in concert with their bodies. Their bodies moved erratically in the liquid.
A wave of vibrations were headed toward the two entities. The two creatures still pushing ahead swimming directly toward the beam, not caring about any damage to their bodies.
A concentrated beam of vibrations could be seen echoing throughout the liquid.
The two bodies who were swimming like idiots kept on swimming like idiots and did not try to dodge.
Completely by luck, one of the entities managed to dodge. The other wasn’t so lucky.
The entity was hit by the vibrational force and instantly his body started to deteriorate. Its body started to shake violently. It started to shake so fast that even if you tried to shake yourself it would be impossible voluntarily. Ripping sounds started to echo throughout the liquid. Its body being shredded like cheese. The entity didn’t even seem to react to its death and gave in to the vibrational power.

It’s body dispersed into a mince of flesh. The vibrational power was too strong. It destroyed its physical body. All that was left was life energy floating in the liquid.
One of the bodies were gone but the other body didn’t seem to mind. It still made his way toward Mato unafraid of his display of power.
Looks like it isn’t perfect yet. That was supposed to destroy both of them.
Mato stood still, pondering over his newly found move.
The foreign entity picked up its pace and shot forward like a bullet almost comparable to the first time he learned ‘Whirlpool Stab’.
“What is he doing?” Tamo said, “Why is he just standing there. He’s going to die!”
She shot off herself. A small stream following behind her. She pushed herself to move forward but her speed was lacking. She was too slow, the entity would kill Mato before she even came close.
Mato looked at the entity curiously and stood still. Ready to embrace whatever comes his way.
The entity was approaching Mato like a truck unable to slow down. It’s speed almost reaching its tipping point. The skin of the entity splitting off into long sections, as the liquid peeled it off like it was an apple. If it went any faster the entity’s entire body would break apart from the resistance of the water.
The entity had finally reached Mato.
Splat!
The entity rammed into Mato’s body at full speed, not slowing down. Its entire body compressing into a small pancake and then exploding into a gore of flesh. Bits and pieces of skin were tossed to the side as the explosion had sent its body in every direction.
Small remnants of flesh remained stationary in the liquid, looking to be stunned by what just happened.
Tamo looked at Mato surprised.
He was standing tall with his tail across his chest, unaffected by what just happened.
Mato looked at Tamo with eyes of warmth. Mato had seen how Tamo had come rushing over to him. They had just met but Tamo was willing to put her life on the line for him.
Mato’s eye’s smiled and said, “Thanks.”
Tamo look on astonished. She couldn’t even respond. She knew how fast that entity was going. It was comparable to Mato’s speed when he had fought against the bacteria. Now that he had taken an attack like it was nothing? It was horrifying. What was his skin made out of?
Mato stepped forward collecting the two life energy essences.
The life energy was still as it followed the current directly to Mato.
Mato took it with his tail and started to examine it.
A pure dense liquid was being tossed by his tail. Like an egg that was cracked open in an ocean, it danced about as it followed along Mato’s dancing. The liquid showing it’s white brilliance before it was going to be consumed by Mato.
This is the same life force that is running through me. But how come they came from boils on the entity's bodies?
Questions started to sprout within his mind.
What was the cause of the deterioration of those bodies? Was it because of this life energy? He had used life energy himself but why didn’t his body deteriorate. Not only did it not deteriorate but his life energy led to him creating his meridians! He had only received blessings from life energy, why had the two bodies receive curses?
Mato threw caution to the wind. He swallowed the life energy and started to process it with his body. The life energy went through his tail. His body digesting the energy immediately and sending it pulsing through his meridians.
The amount of life energy stored within those two bodies is incomparable to what the bacteria king stored in his body.
Mato sighed in his heart. His instincts were telling him that he still needed more life energy. This wasn’t the last form of his transformation, there was more to be experienced.
Tamo came up and asked Mato, “What were those things?”
“Those ‘things’ were once like us, sperm,” Mato said, “I’m not too sure but I believe the deterioration of their bodies had something to do with life energy.”
“Life energy? Is it that the white liquid you keep on consuming?” Tamo asked.
“Yes.” Mato said and circulated his life energy showing the pathways of which the life energy flowed, “Life energy is what led to the creation of my meridians.”
“Where did those things come from? And how did you find out we were called sperm?” Tamo had many questions. Too many things had happened in a short amount of time and they all confused her.
“They must’ve come from where we originated,” Mato said, “Our species is called ‘sperm’. After I transformed, knowledge had seemed to sprout from nowhere. When I formed my meridians some dormant knowledge inside of me must’ve been brought out”
Mato talked while nodding his head, acting like he had answers to the hardest questions in the universe.
“You must’ve learned that vibrational destruction move from your dormant knowledge, it was way too strong!” Tamo asked.
“No. I just made that up on the spot…”
Tamo looked at him with eyes of astonishment. Her brow creased as she thought in her head.
Will I be able to create moves of my own?
As everything had concluded, Mato turned his body in the direction from where the two sperm came from.
“Let’s go. If two of them showed up now, more of them might come later. We have to investigate.” Mato was driven to find the origins of the two unknown sperm. Although those two bodies had less life energy than the bacteria king, they must have gotten it from somewhere. There must be a source.
Mato started to swim forward. Like a rocket, he left his position and left Tamo far behind.
“Wait up! You’re way too fast!”
Mato’s speed was incredible. Comparing his post-transformation speed to his pre-transformation speed was comparing a cheetah and a mouse. It was too fast.
Tamo pushed herself forward, following Mato down the tunnel of flesh.

Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.
