Upper Hallways of Nenil's Library
"Just keep running everyone!" Blake yelled from the back of the group as they ran from the Slime that appeared out of nowhere, which was gaining on them despite its size. "Goddess Dammit! How are you that fast!?" He turned back to it just as it sent one of its tendrils at him blocking it with a Gale Shield from Baba.
"Don't you think we know that, Blake!" Rena yelled back from inside Lu's quiver too scared to come out.
"OGRRRAAA!" The Slime roared, opening its mouth to spit out a fireball at them.
"Mana Barrier!" Nathan stopped to set up a wall blocking the fireball. "Ngh!" He gritted his teeth as his shield cracked on impact after that the Slime went right through it. "Useless!" He dropped his guard and went back to running when a slimy claw came his way.
"Back off!" Blake slashed at the claw sending it flying into the air. "Dammit!" But it was soon reattached by some tendrils from the Slime's body. "This going to take forever!" He groaned and quickly went back to running. "This thing can absorb stuff thrown at it, and I can't even use Saffire's fire or Baba's wind!" He racked his head of any way he could take this thing down and didn't even want to think about what would happen if he used one of Risabeel's attacks. "Hey! Mage! You're smart! Have any ideas!?"
"With the limited amount of information I have at the moment...NO!" Nathan answered, looking back see to Blake cut off another claw. "Hmm?" Which was when he noticed something odd about the way the Slime was regenerating itself; instead of simply growing a new claw, it went out of its way to stop and reattach it. "Could it be that?" Nathan thought after coming up with a plan. "Smith! If you could cut off another piece of that thing, I might have found its weakness!" He yelled at Blake and began charging a Thunder Javelin.
"Sure! It's about time! Useless mage!" Blake stopped in his tracks and wheeled around to face the Slime coming down on him with one of its claws. "Bring it! Goo ball!" He took a swing at the claw slashing it off. "Damn!" Only for a tendril to reach out for it. "What good was that!?"
"This!" Nathan declared, tossing his Thunder Javelin at the claw before the tendrils could get at it.
"Oorah!" The Slime growled, looking up as its claw was blasted out of existence leaving nothing behind for its tendrils to reattach. "Oorgh!" And was forced to regrow its lost claw.
"I see?" Nathan smirked, looking at Blake.
"See what!? It still got its claw back! Useless mage!" Blake yelled at Nathan right as the Slime tried out its new claw on him. "Fuck off!" Again he slashed it off, and again Nathan destroyed it with a Thunder Javelin before the Slime could get it back. "Huh? What the?" Blake took a second to look at the Slime's arm, this time it was taking longer to regrow its claw.
"Oooorggg?" The Slime growled sadly to itself turning a darker shade of blue before giving up on its arm and morphed it into a tendril. "OORAH!" That it whipped out at Blake.
"Whoa!" Blake jumped back, letting the tendril smack into a wall splashing sticky slime across it. "What gives? Claws too hard now?" He mocked the monster while staying out of its reach then looked at Nathan. "Explain, mage."

"It is all too simple, my small minded friend; This creature has shown the power to take in attacks and make them its own along with reshaping itself in different ways. However, it has never outright shown the ability to regenerate itself," Nathan explained, brushing a hand through his hair afterward. "AHHH!" Then screamed when the Slime grabbed him by wrapping a tendril around his legs. "HELP MEEEEEE!" Nathan cried like a baby getting dragged towards the Slime.
"On it!" Gram tore through the tendril in one quick dash making sure not to get any of it on Mari while freeing Nathan.
"HAH!" Next up was Lu and Blake firing a Seed Bomber Shot and a Dragon Fireball at the tendril before the Slime could even move to get it back.
"So the game plan is cut a piece off then blast it until it's gone?" Blake asked, jumping back when the Slime whipped a tendril at him.
"In short, yes!" Nathan answered and readying another spell. "So, have fun!"
Blake smiled at that. "Time out, Baba." Then suddenly tossed Baba into the air letting her change back to normal. "Yo! Gram! Time for action!" He called out to the Greater Wolf.
"About time!" Gram smirked, letting Mari down before dashing towards Blake, leaping into the air then transformed right into Blake's free hand giving him his long red wolf tail.
"OK! Slime! Here I come!" Blake crouched down then shot forward in a burst of speed similar to how Gram does his dashes. "RAH!" And while swinging Risabeel and Gram together, he went at the feathered wings of the Slime slicing them off. "Lu! Nathan! You're up!" He yelled as he landed on the other side of the Slime, sliding on the floor. "Whoa!" And had to stab Risabeel into the floor to slow himself down. "Shit! Still not good at keeping my speed in check!"
"No worries you'll get it in time, Alpha," Gram told Blake after listening to his thoughts. "Now, just go wild!"
On the other side, Lu and Nathan had just destroyed the wings of the Slime, making it look more like a slimy lizard than a Dragon now. "Orra?" It growled, trying to reform its lost wings losing some of its mass then went up on its hind legs. "Ooogggrrr!" It flapped its newly made wings to send a powerful gust of wind at Nathan, Lu, and Mari, throwing them off their feet.
"WOAH!" Nathan yelled, grabbing onto a hanging chandelier while smacking his back on the ceiling a few times.
"Rena!" Lu reached into his quiver for two Snare Vine Shoots shooting both at either side of the hallway to catch himself before getting blown away.
"~Oh~ Come here! Mari! Can't have my future Sister-in-law getting hurt." Baba flew in to pick up Mari before she got tossed around too badly like Lu or Nathan.
"I haven't/He hasn't agreed to that." Both Blake and Mari told Baba off with the latter of which thrashing around in her arms a little.
"Better do something about that wind!" Blake gripped Risabeel tightly still stabbed into the floor and used her to launch himself forward and under the Slime's legs. "Down you go!" He yelled as he slashed at its legs with Gram and Risabeel.
"ORRAAH!" The Slime toppled backward, falling on its wings and ended the small whirlwind it sent after the others. "OOOOGGG!" It quickly whipped its tail out at Blake only for him to take a double slash at it. "Oooogr?" It groaned losing another part of itself.

"You're starting to get on my bad side, Slime!" Blake warned with Risabeel charged up to send a Demon Slash at the Slime's severed legs and tail then he shot forward with Gram giving off a glow as the crack in his blade was filled in by white light. "Wolf Impact!" Blake roared, going for one of the Slime's arms and swung with Gram but instead of just slashing off the arm it was blasted off by a powerful shockwave. "One!" Blake landed feet first against a wall then jumped to the next arm leaving footprints in the wall then blew off the Slime's other arm. "Two!" Repeating the feat Blake aimed at its head blowing it off as well and once that was gone, the Slime was left as a big blue blob sitting there. "And three!" Blake had the Slime to his back but was getting stared at by the green eye of a pink pumpkin sized ball that appeared out nowhere. "What?"
"..." The eye blinked at Blake, and when it opened up again, it was bloodshot with glowing pink veins that drew power into its center then shot a pink beam at Blake.
"GAAH!" Blake was blasted back over the Slime and into the ceiling going through it with his legs hanging out. "The Fuck was that?!" Blake groaned with a burning pain coming to his chest. "And where am I?" He looked around a dimly lit room while trying to wiggle out of the hole he was stuck in until..."NNGHHH!"...Something wrapped around his neck tightly and pulled him up.
"Blake!" Lu and Mari cried with them and Baba wondering what just happened to Blake while Nathan was looking at the eye which was looking at the Slime floating in and out of its reach.
"A Seeker? But...?" Nathan gasped at the sight of the eye, knowing what it was.
Artificial monster, Seeker: These singled eyed monsters are the creations of spellcasters wanting a long distance spy which grants them a clean and live view of what is going in places they can not reach easily.
A Seeker's size and appearance are up to its maker, as well as the abilities the Seeker can use such as invisibility or teleportation, with skill and enough mana one can even use some of their own spells through a Seeker.
No Ore can be collected from a Seeker as they are the creation of a spell.
"...Why would one be here? And there's no reason for it to be from Le Fay which means...?" Nathan whispered to himself, eyeing the Seeker while readying a spell in his hand. "Shit!" Until the Seeker noticed him going bloodshot like it did with Blake and fired a beam at him. "Quick Bolt!" He threw a fastball of lightning at the beam clashing with it. "Tch! Whoever you are! State yourself and your business here!?" He called out to the Seeker and charged another spell.
"..." The Seeker blinked, rolling itself at Nathan's demand. "..." Then looked at the Slime still trying to grab it and this time it allowed itself to be taken into the Slime.
"Ooo?" The Slime let out a curious sound turning orange as the Seeker released some pinkish mana from itself mixing with the Slime until it turned solid pink with the eye of the Seeker moving around in it. "Oooo?"
"Nathan, is that bad?" Lu asked, drawing a Seed Bomber Shot on his bow and aimed at the Seeker's eye but waited for the mage's insight first.
"I have no reason why it would be good," Nathan answered with a Thunder Javelin ready to go as he nodded to Lu for them to hit the Seeker at the same time. "Which leaves us to destroying it!" Both he and Lu fired their attacks at the seemingly controlled Slime.
"ORRGGAH!" The Slime let out a pained growl as it was forced to move by the Seeker's will dodging the two attacks then morphed into a snake with the Seeker's eye at the end facing Nathan and Lu before it shot after them coming right up to Nathan with its eye beam charged up.
Just as it was about to fire a gust of wind knocked it upwards, missing Nathan and struck the ceiling with Blake's voice coming up from up there. "~Ohohoh~ Aren't you a strange little thing? But you hurt my man, and that makes me mad..." Baba warned with a light slime on her face while Mari was still in her arms. "...so first we'll get rid of you then check up on him."
"!" The Seeker gave Baba a glare for getting in its way but went back after Nathan, making the rest of the Slime wrap around him while causing the Slime to grow spikes.
"Why me!?" Nathan screamed about to get skewered when Lu shot a Snare Vine Shot above him that quickly grew a vine to pick him up. "My thanks to you, L-!" He thought he was alright until the Seeker whipped the tail end of the Slime's body at him. "Mana Barrier!" Nathan quickly blocked the strike but got sent through the ceiling. "AHHH!" He screamed, crashing through the floor of the upper level just in time to see Blake fighting off what looked like white snakes from the lack of light in the room, one of which struck out at the mage. "AH!"
But its head was cut by Blake using Risabeel with the snake's head turning into a piece of white cloth. "Hey, useless mage! I thought you said this guy was dead?!" Blake asked, keeping his back to Nathan while facing into the darkness then tossed Gram into the air to throw a Dragon Fireball at where the cloth snakes were coming from.
The fireball was blocked by the snakes lighting them on fire and gave some light to the room, but what Nathan saw surprised him. "What!? Nenil!?" Standing there was Nenil, the Weaver of Doom just as the painting showed him; bandages all over is his body with a blue robe and gold necklace, the owner of the library they were in at the very moment who was confirmed dead by the headmaster of Le Fay.
"Yea, freaked me out when the dead guy in that painting was trying to kill me," Blake told Nathan after catching Gram and rubbed his neck which had some light marks from when those snakes almost choked him out, then he turned to Nathan giving him a disappointed look. "By the way, how does a guy who uses fucking bed sheet magic! Get the name, Weaver Of Doom?"
"Huh!?" Nathan went from shocked to enraged after hearing that, jumping to his feet in a flash faster than lightning. "HOW DARE YOU! Say that about the great and powerful master Nenil! Creator of Fabric Magic, allowing him to use any type of fabric as an extension of his will! He even found a way to change its matter, making it harder than steel! Of course, he would be called the 'Weaver' of Doom!" He yelled, furiously at Blake then grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him as hard as he could before tiring himself out.
"Well, I didn't think you meant the 'weaver' part literally! How the fuck would I know about something as stupid as 'Fabric Magic'! Goddess! It's dumb just saying it!" Blake yelled back at Nathan who was resting his head on Blake's chest taking in some air until Blake pushed him off and he faced Nenil.
The fire was put out by Nenil's cloth snakes, but he had a small ball of mana as light now, which showed that the cloth snakes came from the bandages he wore over his body. "Well, it is nice to see that I am not forgotten in death," Nenil spoke rather politely with a hand pressed to his chest and one of his cloth snakes slithering around his arm, and just like a real one, it tasted the air with a forked tongue. "You are quite the educated mage if you know that much about me many others thought I was born with natural talent but..." He paused to change his snake's head into what looked like a young boy at a desk studying. "...I achieved my greatness with time and practice."
"Hmph! You got a lot more talkative once someone knew who you were? Huh, Mr. mummy?" Blake asked, hearing Nenil speak for the first time after starting a fight with him. "Looks like you got him talking, Nathan..." Once Blake said Nathan's name all of the snakes around Nenil hissed. "...Wha?"
"..." Nenil was silent while his snakes went on and some of the bandages around his head moved to show his right violet colored eye that gave Nathan an icy glare as if he was the last thing Nenil wanted to see. "...Hah..." He let out a small laugh making a fist to stop his snakes' hissing. "...now then I do not like people coming into my library uninvited so I will be personally dealing with you, Nathan..." He said Nathan's name like it was a foul cuss that would taint him while his snakes turned into sharp blades. "Felt Cutter." He waved an arm, and all of his blades whipped out at Blake and Nathan.
"Finally doing something new, huh!? I was getting bored with your worms earlier!" Blake mocked Nenil and dived into the oncoming blades with Gram charged up. "Wolf Impact!" With a wild shockwave, most of the Felt Cutter was blasted away while the rest flew towards him. "Still lacking power, I guess!" He tried parrying the blades with Risabeel and Gram. "Ngh!" But still felt cuts and nicks all over his body while fighting off Nenil's attack. "Hurry up! And help me! Useless mage! I can't buy you much time here!"
"Right!" Nathan was left stunned for a bit, but once Blake yelled at him, he was brought back to the fight. "I have little idea as to why Nenil knows and hates me, but I must defend myself and Blake!" He thought, making his Sparkling Stikes of Boa spellbook float next to him so he could use both hands each surging with electricity. "Lightning Scatter!" First, he held his hands together then thrust them out, sending a barrage of lightning bolts at Nenil.
"Terry Barrier." Nenil barely needed to move as his bandages stopped attacking Blake and instantly woven themselves into a wall in front of himself taking Nathan's spell without so much as a burn. "Oh? I didn't take you for a lightning user, and at that level, this fight will be over quicker than I thought." He said calmly finding Nathan's power weak. "Duck Needle." His wall tightly weaved itself into a single large spear that shot after Nathan.
"Hey! I'm here to Mr. Mummy!" Blake got in the way of the Duck Needle blocking it with Risabeel and Gram fully charged in their respective powers. "GRAH!" But even then he was still pushed back. "Come on!" Forcing more strength into his arms, he got some headway until... "RAHHH!" ...He finally stopped the Duck Needle just short of getting pushed into Nathan. "Heh, what do you think of that?!"
"Boring," Nenil answered unimpressed, and the Duck Needle suddenly fell apart to smaller ones letting Blake fall forward onto his face, then they shot after Nathan. "Once I am done with Nathan, I will just leave you to yourself, boy." Nenil was dead set on Nathan and nothing else for reasons that either Blake or Nathan knew.
"Ngh!" Nathan wasn't fast enough to dodged or set up a Mana Barrier to stop the Duck Needles as they stabbed into his body.
"Nathan!" Blake yelled after kicking off the floor and slashed at the Duck Needles, stopping them from going right through the mage. "What the? Heh, Bastard!" He smirked not finding a drop of blood from Nathan.
"..." Nenil was silent as he returned his cloth to himself. "...What, surprise?"
"Skin of Steel..." Nathan was winded but alive with holes up through his clothing, but behind each of them were patches of gray. "...It was a good idea that I mastered that spell." He muttered after dispelling his personal armor as keeping it up was burning through his mana.
"One Love by Mana. Of course, you'd be one of them." Nenil was left unsurprised by Nathan's quick thinking. "But who said I didn't want to take my time?" Nenil's voice was that of a sadist once again giving Nathan an ice-cold glare. "There is too much that you need to pay for even if you are just a substitute for the real thing." He spat out as if causing Nathan, intense pain wasn't enough for him.
"What the hell are you going on about!" Blake came down on Nenil with Risabeel and Gram after listing to the stuff that came out of this guy's mouth.
"You again?" Nenil questioned, having already forgotten about Blake in only a few seconds and met Blake's attack with just his hands but the bandages on them were all he needed. "That best you got?" He asked, forcing Blake's arms apart with little effort but got confused when Blake smiled at him.
"Nah, just gave the useless mage some time!" Blake looked behind at Nathan holding a Thunder Javelin that he threw down on Nenil.
"Tck!" Nenil let go of Risabeel and Gram to jump back from the spell letting it crash through the floor.
On the lower floor
"What now!?" Lu was shocked when a bolt of lightning came from above and pinned the Seeker controlled Slime to the floor. "Nathan? Blake?" He looked at the hole that was made by the Thunder Javelin peering into blackness.
"OOGGGAA!" The Slime growled after the electric shock from the Thunder Javelin went through it, and the Seeker's eye was left stunned.
"Now's our chance!" Lu quickly acted on it pulling out an arrow to shot at the Seeker's eye, but it recovered faster than he would have liked dodging the arrow then forced the Slime to lash out with tendrils ending in thick spikes.
"Look out, Mr. Elf," Baba warned, whipping up a gust of wind to carry Lu away from the deadly tendrils making the Seeker glare at her. "~Oh~ what's wrong? Did you forget about little old me?" She cooed playfully at the Seeker, making it turn the Slime's tendrils on her. "Hang on, baby sister." She warned Mari still in her arms.
"Don't call me that, Granny!" Mari yelled at Baba while they evaded the tendrils sent at them.
"Oh, such a good girl! Calling me what I am, hehe!" Baba giggled at Mari's insult which didn't even faze her and gave the young girl a little pat on the head then noticed the Seeker's eye going bloodshot.
"Thanks, Baba!" Lu shot a Snare Vine Shot at the Slime wrapping around it to make the beam miss Baba and Mari by a hair. "Rena, are you done yet?" He asked the Fairy, who was inside his quiver for a while.
With a puff of green dust, Rena popped out with sweat coming down her face. "Phew! Done!" She gave Lu a thumbs up and wiped her face. "You really need to throw some dirt in here it would help a lot, you know?"
"I'll think about it!" Lu answered, then gripped onto an arrow and jumped back to get some space between him the Seeker controlled Slime. "Baba, get ready! This is either going to take care of that eye or piss it off!" He warned finally pulling out the arrow he was holding onto, at its end were four heart-shaped leaves coming from a ball of roots. "Hydra's Ivy Shot!" He shot the arrow right at Slime instead of the Seeker's eye getting a clean it. "Yes!"
"?" The Seeker turned to look at the arrow sinking into its gooey host somewhat confused by it. "!" Until the roots of the arrow suddenly started to stretch out inside the Slime and the four leaves had doubled in size with four more growing too as the roots kept going into the Slime while the Slime itself was stinking. "!" The Seeker's eye went wide when one of the roots got close to it.
"Heh, it worked!" Lu laughed as the eye moved around, trying to keep away from the grabbing roots. "Epipremnum hydros or better known to us Elves as hydra ivy. It's a very low maintenance plant that only needs some water and sunlight for the most part, but it can get out of hand when the roots get into magically enriched water or...in this case a Slime mixed with a ball of magic..." He explained as the leaves doubled again in both size and number with a large bud growing at the center of them. "...and it wouldn't stop until that flower blooms, and all of the water is gone which includes you, eyeball."
"OOORAH!" The Slime let out a pained roar as it was a 3rd of the size it was a moment ago with the Seeker left with little to control at that point and forced itself out of the Slime taking its pink color with it.
"And where are you off to?" Baba asked, giving the Seeker a cold smile as the wind picked up around it. "Like I said; we'll deal with you, then check on, my Hubby." With a flick of her finger, she sent the eyeball flying across the hallway smacking into the floor, walls, and ceiling before getting shot out a window. "Hmm? I really need to learn how to play softer?" She wondered to herself as she let Mari down who ran up to the Slime still stinking as it was being sucked dry by the Hydra's Ivy.
"Hey, Mari! Don't get too close to that thing; it's still alive!" Lu called out to her and held onto her shoulder.
"But it looks hurt!" Mari turned back to Lu teary-eyed while pointing at the Slime wailing in pain as the bud was about to bloom. "So stop your dumb plant before it dies."
"What?" Lu was confused by what Mari was saying before he could ask her why small Duck Needles came down from the ceiling then went back up making new holes. "Blake! Nathan!"
Upper Floor Blake and Nathan against Nenil
"Smtih, fall back!" Nathan yelled, jumping back while firing a Lightning Scatter at Nenil who blocked it with a Terry Barrier like before.
"I know that, useless mage!" Blake yelled back with Duck Needles coming up from below their feet, which then shot at them. "Rah!" Blake blocked most of them while the others grazed him.
"You two do well at jumping around." Nenil complimented them on their efforts returning his bandages to his side. "Granted it only prolongs your demise, Nathan!"
"Would you just shut up already!" Blake sent a Demon Slash at Nenil to which he tried blocking with his Terry Barrier, but the slash tore through it and slammed into Nenil. "Haha! Take that! Mummy man!" Blake cheered after watching Nenil get knocked through a wall. "But the hell is up with that guy and you, mage?"
"I...I do not know why he is so adamant about killing me...but I have concluded that he is not Master Nenil." Nathan answered without any uncertainty in his voice and kept his eyes fixed on where Nenil once was.
"Oh? What was that I heard?" Nenil asked as the dust settled, showing that he took Blake's Demon Slash with some damage since the bandages around his forearms were partly tore off after using them to block. "Please enlighten me on how you came to such a foolish answer, boy?"
"I will once you are beaten!" Nathan declared, pointing at Nenil.
"Then, do it!" Nenil was done with words now as his bandages started to moved around him ready to strike at his command. "Full Mesh!" He opened his arms wide, and his bandages expanded from him in a giant spinning sphere crushing everything in its way.
"Heh! Bring it!" Blake smirked, running up to the sphere at top speed. "Demon Slash! Wolf Impact!" He rammed into it with both attacks. "Ngh!" And got pushed back as Risabeel and Gram grinned against the harder than steel bandages. "Better have a big one ready, mage!"
"With time!" Nathan yelled from behind Blake moving some distance away, throwing his right arm out at Nenil while his left hand was supporting it. "Hold no, grudges! Run wild with shocking furry! Cause my enemy to disappe-AH!" His chant was cut short by some unseen bandages that Nenil sent after him wrapping around his leg.
"You really thought I'd let you finish that?" Nenil asked, pulling Nathan towards his Full Mesh. "Goodbye! Nathan! HAHAHA!"
"Shit!" Blake wasn't able to get to Nathan, still holding the Full Mesh back as best he could. "LU! If you're going to do something from down there now's the time!" He yelled down at Lu and made one last effort to push back the death ball and from a hole in the floor came one of Lu's Pollen Shots right in front of Nenil.
"What?!" Nenil only got one glance at the arrow before it exploded in a green cloud of pollen blinding him as well making him lose focus, causing his Full Mesh to fall apart. "Nathan!" He yelled when he also lost hold on Nathan's leg and looked around wildly for the mage. "There!" He sensed Nathan's mana in the pollen and thrust his arms forward. "Velvet Trim!" The bandages on his arms shot out so fast that they turned red and sped towards Nathan blowing away the pollen smokescreen.
"NATHAN!" Blake screamed, watching Nathan's upper body get ripped apart with chunks of...blue transparent flesh flying into the air? "Huh?"
"WHAT!?" Nenil was just as surprised and even more furious as the Nathan he just tore apart turned into a blob of slime. "Behind!" He quickly turned around the next second after sensing Nathan's mana, and his eye widened as Nathan was aiming at him with his earlier spell ready to go.
"Cause my enemy to disappear with nothing left!" Once Nathan finished his chant, and a raging ball of lightning and thunder was in his right hand. "Shock Cannon!" He fired a thunderous blast of lightning at Nenil covering him in a beam of light and sent a loud ear-pounding boom throughout the library tearing a large hole in the side of the building before crashing into the barrier around the library where it stopped in its path. "*Panting*" Nathan was left breathing heavily with his right hand burnt and bleeding. "Heh! How was that, brutish smith?" He asked, turning to Blake, who was left awe stroke by the display of power which put a smile on his face.
"...Not bad, mage" Blake smiled back at Nathan walking up to him but stopped when he saw a shadow cast over Nathan. "Son of a Bitch!" He rushed in front of Nathan in the next second.
"Not bad, indeed..." Nenil was standing at the hole Nathan made with the bandages around his right side completely gone showing blacken skin and tufts of dark green hair sticking out from his head. The rest of his bandages were used to stop himself from getting blasted out of the library by digging into the floor, ceiling and what was left of the wall. "...but don't I think that was enough to beat me!" He raised his right hand at Nathan in his palm was a blue smiley face with x's for eyes and stitched up mouth that let out a dark bluish glow. "DIE!" He was about to send out an attack when the Seeker Baba threw out appeared right in front of him. "MOVE!"
"..." The Seeker stared at him for a moment then blinked when it did its eyelashes turned into a pair of thick black lips. "~Soooo~ scary whatever happened to you 'master Nenil'?" It asked playfully in a woman's voice and floated around Nenil with a wide grin on the pink ball.
"Tch! None of your business now buzz off!" Nenil yelled at the Seeker and batted it away from himself.
"Meanie! Blah!" The Seeker stuck out its tongue for Nenil which had an iron stub in it. "That's what you get for hurting my baby! And now, we're leaving!"
"Not yet! I'm still not done with that piece of shit over there!" Nenil barked back at the Seeker still having his hand aimed at Nathan and Blake, making them tense up until the Seeker bit down on his arm. "OW! Let go, you bitch!" He thrashed his arms around and grabbed the Seeker to rip it off his arm.
"Huh? Just look at you! Half of your disguise is destroyed, you stopped playing the part, and you're using your own magic now...oops cat's out of the bag!" The Seeker blabbed out, giving away Nenil. "Are you going to yell at me again?" She asked after backing away.
"It doesn't even matter that guy already figured it out." The fake Nenil muttered calmly after coming out of his blind rage thanks to the Seeker's childish behavior, but he sent Nathan a murderous stare with his one shown eye. "How did you find out, anyway?"
Nathan straightened himself up while still holding onto his right arm. "Simple although your fabric magic is, by all means, an exact copy of Nenil's from the books I've read and your brief retelling of his young past was spot on. You, however, misjudged some facts; firstly Nenil was left-handed while you use your right. Secondly, Nenil's fabric magic is not limited to himself. He often used it to immobilize those he fought as long as they were wearing some type of cloth and only used attacks when binding his foes didn't work, and finally, your eye..."
"What is it the wrong color?" The Seeker asked somewhat into Nathan's explanation making Nenil and Blake look at it. "What?"
Nathan shook his head at the Seeker's question. "...No that's not it, in fact, the color is correct it's his hair that's the wrong color Nenil's was orange, but I knew you were fake before then because of Nenil..."
"...Lost his eyes after the fight that forced him to wear bandages." The fake Nenil finished knowing the answer already. "Heh, you did as much research as I did and more not bad, Nathan."
"Huh? If you knew that would give you away, why show the eye?" Blake asked, confused by that and why he was so determined to kill Nathan, but he didn't think he'd get an answer for that one.
"I have my reasons." The fake answered vaguely with his arms crossed, but he looked only at Nathan.
"Hmm? Nathan? Nathan? Nathan?" The Seeker muttered over and over again until she bit her tongue. "OH! so that's him! Huh!? Looks just like you said! No wonder you're acting like this but as much as I want to keep my teammates ~happy~! We're wasting time! If you fight seriously, those guys are going to be here in a flash, and then you're dead even if we came here to kill one of Le Fay's top students letting personal grudges get the better of you is not good." She warned but didn't sound worried then realized what she just did. "Whoops! Spilled the beans on that one! Forget, I said that, please?" The Seeker looked at Blake and Nathan, but they didn't even pay it much mind. "Jerks!"
"Fine, we'll leave as long as you've done your part." The fake Nenil said, gripping his arms tightly. "But he's right there!"
"Yep! All done finding the left-over artifacts and books in here, hehe!" The Seeker giggled then like before she realized she gave out more information than needed. "Whoops! I did it again! Come on, master Nenil! Grab on tight to my tongue stub!" The Seeker opened its mouth wide with the iron stud giving off some faint light.
"What did you do!?" Nathan took a step forward, but Blake stopped him before he got anywhere shaking his head at the Mage. "GRRR! Those are the property of Le Fay! Not where you two!"
"Heh! We're just sharing the knowledge with those who need it." The fake Nenil laughed, putting his hand on the stub and got covered by light. "But next time I get a chance at you, you are dead." He warned with one more icy glare towards Nathan as he and the Seeker teleported away.
Once they were gone, both Blake and Nathan exhaled. "Damn, that got a little too tense for my liking." Blake finally let his guard down and was thankful that the faker was gone.
"...Indeed..." Nathan stared at the where their opponent once was, trying to piece together who exactly he and the Seeker's user were from the little information he had. "Putting into account that only one of them came in person. Do they think highly of their abilities...? No, they did so to avoid detection...but the only ones who could sense this far out are all in the capital...? Stealing the last of what Nenil left here while doing away with anyone coming here...? Which would only be a Le Fay teacher or student for the most part...? An enemy of the school? But who? And that symbol I've seen it somewhere I know it!" He bit down on his still damaged hand while thinking of nothing else.
"..." All the while, Blake was staring at him doing that as scribbles appeared out of his head. "Earth to the useless mage!" He yelled at Nathan after tossing Gram and Risabeel into the air letting them and Saffire turn back.
"Hmm?" Nathan stopped in his mumbling and turned to Blake with an angered look on his face. "How can you a simple-minded brute! Dare say that I am useless when I was the one who inflicted the most damage to the opponent while everything you did was brushed off!" He went in on Blake while throwing his arms around, forgetting about his theories with a double of himself doing the same standing right next to him. "AHHH!" He screamed, finally taking notice it.
"WAH!" The other Nathan screamed as well then broke down into a small blob of blue slime. "Ooo?" It slid away from Nathan and went to Blake's feet.
"Hey! What're you coming up to me for!?" Blake backed away from the Slime about ready to kick it into a wall until it changed into a copy of Mari making Blake stop. "Huh?"
"Ooo!" It then went on to make a bunch of different moves and sounds trying to tell Blake something. "Oh?" But once it saw him with a confused face, it gave up slapping a hand to its face. "?" It thought to itself for a moment then turned back into slime and went down the hole Blake was pulled through.
"Uh, what was that about, Alpha?" Gram asked while sniffing at where the Slime was and noted that it smelled nicer.
"Beats me?" Blake shrugged his shoulders walking up to the hole and looked down to find the Slime in front of Mari, making different shapes out of itself. "Wha?"
"Uh huh? Uh huh? Hmm?" Mari kept nodding to the Slime as it told her what happened then pointed up at Blake, making her look up at him. "Hey, Blake, were they a big help?" She asked with a big smile.
"They?" Blake turned to look at the Slime, which turned into Mari again, copying her smile. "I'm going to need some explaining, please?" He asked, jumping down to the lower floor followed by Saffire, Gram, Risabeel who he caught and Nathan slowed his fall with mana. "Alright, why is the Slime on our side now?" He asked, switching between Mari and her slime double having lost which one was which.
"I helped it out of an arrow Lu shot at it, so it wanted to help us!" The real Mari on the right answered then she and her slime clone pointed at a large pile of roots that were dripping with slime but was drying out quickly. "Did I do something wrong?" She whimpered, bringing her arms to her chest along with her slime copy and the both of them let out small fake tears.
"...Not really that Slime did help us up there." Blake was okay with it for the most part since he was a little worried about fighting that thing after that, fake Nenil was gone. "Good job, baby sis!" He gave Mari's head a light rub making her giggle.
"..." While doing that the other Mari on his left was staring at him and moved a little closer.
"...and you too?" Blake said and reluctantly gave it a head rub as well.
"Ooo?" The Slime enjoyed the show of affection...maybe a little too much as it lost its color turning transparent red.
"Hey, now!" Blake's hand sank into the Slime, and it wasn't coming out when he pulled at it, in fact, the rest of his arm was sinking too. "Haha! No seriously...stop." He tried putting up a smile, but once the Slime got up to his shoulder, he got worried. "Mari, tell it to stop!" He yelled, trying to wrestle it off now.
"Aww! It likes you." Saffire teased, trying to hold back a laugh as Blake got covered by the now overly friendly Slime.
"Shut it, Dragon!" Blake yelled at her now neck deep in red slime unable to move anything at all...then felt something near his crotch. "...The fuck?" He looked down after getting a weird feeling down there which felt oddly...erotic. "...Aaaah!" He tried holding a moan in, but it got out of him. "Ge-ngh! This thi-oohh! OFF MEEE!" He yelled, fighting the urge to enjoy this. "Aaaah!"
"Sir Blake?" Risabeel wasn't sure what was going on with him at all. "Marius, I think you should call off the Slime befor-" Blake let out another moan stopping her from speaking. "...before something worse happens to him?"
"Not yet, it's getting good." Saffire held Risabeel by her shoulder and watched Blake getting played with by the Slime with a broad smile on her face.
"Hmm, for once we agree, Hot-head." Baba was on Saffire's side on this one. "This is a little preview for when I get to play with him,"
"Hehe, that's what you get, boss man." Rena snickered, sitting on Saffire's head to watch along with her and Baba as Blake was put on his back still moaning.
"..." The other males had all but left Blake to his doom with their backs turned away.
"Ok! That's enough!" Mari yelled at the Slime, and it slowly slid off Blake, leaving some of itself on him and returned to its usual light blue color. "Good."
"A-ah, I-I-I feel so violated..." Blake groaned as he got back on his feet and took a big step away from the Slime and Mari, making both of them have question marks over their heads. "...Thanks for the help there, guys..." He stared at the three other males with him.
"Sorry about that, Alpha, but I don't like getting my fur wet." Gram said, with his head low to the floor.
"I have had my share for today." Nathan held a hand up in protest, knowing and having gone through what Blake got all too well. "Where was my recuse, then?"
"I would have shot it with another Hydra's Ivy, but Rena only made one." Lu the last of them gave out his reason for not helping then looked at Nathan's right hand and the injuries he got during the fight with the fake Nenil. "Doesn't look that bad some bandages and aloe for those burns after getting some water on them should do fine, I think?" He came up with a quick fix.
"Can't you just heal that with some magic, Nathan?" Blake asked, coming to check up on the mage as well with all the other things that Nathan was able to do with mana, a healing spell should be simple.
"...Well, yes if I knew any such spells..." Nathan whispered under his breath out of all types of magic he was the worst at healing to the point where he'd likely rot his arm off instead of fixing it. "...but that is of no need, I must report back to the headmaster at once!" He declared loudly then pulled out a port-stone from his robes. "Please forgive me for this, but I will be sure to find you all in Gorz!" This time he actually did a proper farewell unlike the last time while holding the port-stone low for him to bow to the group.
"Ooo?" The Slime stared at the glowing rock in Nathan's hand and jumped at it.
"Hmm! Let go! This is not food!" Nathan tried yanking his port-stone out of the Slime. "Ngh!" But all that happened to him was getting his arm pulled into it. "NOOOOO!" He quickly let go in fear and watched the Slime eat away at his port-stone. "Great! That was my last one! That will be 500 gold, brutish smith?" He held out his hands at Blake.
"What was that, useless mage?" Blake got in Nathan's face after he asked Blake to pay up. "It's not my fault you don't know who to teleport around just walk!"
"It was your slimy pet that ate my port-stone! Which I was only testing for an under student!" Nathan shot back lying about the student part to save some face.
A vein came out on Blake's head at the upped price. "Hey! That thing is Mari's pet at bes-"
"Oh? Trying to shift the blame to your younger sister! How spineless!" Nathan cut him off while pointing at Mari who was looking at something along with the others, leaving Blake and Nathan to their fight.
"No, I was not! And who are you call spineless!? I was just making a point, dumbass!" Blake yelled back now butting heads with Nathan ready to break him like a twig with Nathan thinking about going over his daily mana usage just to shut Blake up.
"WHAT!?" They both roared when Mari pulled at their shirts.
"That." She pointed behind them as did the others.
"Huh?!" Turning their heads Blake and Nathan stared blankly at a growing ball of goo that was about the size the Slime had when it was in monster mode. "Mage. Explain?" Blake asked while he and Nathan backed up to join everyone else to look at it.
"...It would appear that the port-stone is having an adverse reaction to the Slime, likely caused by the influx of highly compacted mana from its makeup which is causing the Slime to expand at an abnormal rate...if left alone I believe it will reach critical mass in...give or take 10 seconds where it will...hmm?" Nathan was explaining away what was going on until Blake put a hand on his chest.
"On my level of thinking," Blake said, understanding about half what was coming out of Nathan's mouth.
"Oh?" Nathan went back to looking at the Slime as it was slowing down in growth. "It is going to explode..." He gave out the short version of his explanation just as a bubble of slime popped. "...I do believe we should run."
Outside with Nash
Nash had just finished licking off the last bit of slime stuck on him after getting attacked by the Slime earlier, thankfully the goo wasn't dangerous and tasted like a mix between an apple and a banana, a banapple! Shown by the thought bubbles around his head as a red banana. "!" Now perfectly clean without a drop on him, he turned to the library trying to find Blake and the others. "?" When he did, the horse saw what looked like people running inside until...
...Like the eruption of a dormant volcano that has waited over ten thousand years finally launch its hot molten insides into the cold air to devastate everything around it while darkening the sky and shaking the very earth in a show of unstoppable power only archived by a similar event of this level as an act a god.
The entity of the Library was ripped asunder by a seemingly never-ending torrent of blue slime shooting out the windows, chimneys and not to forget the hole Nathan put in it which was rushing out with slime as if it was a waterfall.
"!" Nash just stared wide-eyed at the gooey waterworks as slime was shot into the air, going through the barrier and rained down on the surrounding area, easily covering him, the cart and many trees in a thick layer of slime that would require much more than a few licks to get rid of . "..." Nash just blew some air through his lips after it stopped and shook his head.
"Hey, Nash." When he stopped Blake, and everyone else was in front him, all of them laying on the ground in one way or another with Nathan somehow finding himself in a tree covered in the sticky blue slime. "...How far was that lake we passed getting here?" Blake asked, and only light groans were sent his way. "Yea, that sounds about right..."
30 minutes later
"Aaaah!" Blake was standing in front of a large fire pit that Saffire whipped up, only in his once white pants which had turned completely baby blue at this point after being soaked in slime, the rest of his clothes and everyone else's was hung up by some vines Rena made over the fire. "Man, that feels so good!" He cheered bathed in the warmth of the fire as it dried off any remaining bits of slime on his defined physique. Anyone could tell at first glance, that Blake was in peak condition with well-marked lines around his arms, chest, and abs all rewards from years as a blacksmith in training, indeed the pride of any man around his age.
"It's not as good as a bath, but it's still great." Lu agreed somewhat with Blake, laying on his back dressed the same as Blake was in only his tight black pants. His lithe body put on display not as muscular or well-defined as Blake, Lu took on a more graceful look with lovely curves and soft spots everywhere you looked, which would much better suit a member of the other gender but Lu made it work for himself even if it meant that he gathered the attention of men.
"Indeed, it not often I get to enjoy something such as this." Nathan sat cross-legged with his Advance Mana Control spellbook in his lap as with the other two he was shirtless thought there was not much to look at. Time spent at a desk for hours on end, working out magical text and only needing to move when needed has left the mage with not anything to show off granted he was not fat nor fit just...average and his right arm was bandaged up.
"I guess getting covered in slime wasn't so bad." Gram lazily said while laying under a tree along with Nash and a basin of water used to bath them a while ago.
"No way in hell!" Blake joked, and laughs from the males came his way as he moved to the edge of the clearing. "Alright, I'm off to find some more wood for the fire and replace what we used from the cart." He told the others but with an odd smirk on his face.
"Hmm?" Nathan looked up for his book stopping Blake when he coughed loudly. "In the direction of the lake where the girls are bathing?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and shook his head. "And without an axe, I see?" He added noting Blake's empty hands.
"Well, where else am I going to find the best 'wood' but there?" Blake asked in return, his smirking face getting wider and kept on walking with either Nathan or Lu stopping him. "Now time to sneak..." He went quiet and got down low to hide in some bushes then made his way forward until he heard the sound of splashing water. "...And the show begins, hehe..." Sticking his head out a little Blake was greeted to the sight of all the girls bathing in a lake near Nenil's library.
"Marius, be still will you not?" Risabeel was helping Mari wash her hair out while combing the younger girl's soapy hair with her fingers as light drops of water came off her hair which was sticking to the sides of her face and down her chest.
"Ugh, but the soap is getting in my eyes!" Mari held her eyes closed tight, with her back to Risabeel while she herself had Rena in her hands soaking her up in soap.
"Yeaaaah! That's the spot! Your fingers are heavenly!" The Fairy moaned getting a full body massage from Mari.
"Aww, would you like your sister in law to help?" Baba asked, floating lazily in the water on her back, keeping her naked body covered only by a tiny bit of water, making Blake lift his head higher to get a better look. "Hmm?" Until Baba shifted her head his way and he ducked. "Oh?" Her lips went into a small smirk finding Blake out already.
"Shit! Did she see me?" Blake held his breath with his hands over his mouth and nose. "..." He peeked out little to see Baba looking the other way now floating on her front side with her peach shaped rear sticking out of the water. "...Nice."
"Hey, Granny, stop acting like my brother's your man or else," Mari warned, splashing water on the much older woman.
"So protective, you're such a ~good little sister~ No wonder Blake likes you the best!" Baba cooed, leaving Mari be for now and turned a little behind to make sure Blake was still looking at her. "Hmm? Let's play with our little peeping tom, shall we?" She thought, turning to Saffire who was by herself on the edge of the lake. "What's wrong, Hot-head, water not to your liking?"
"N-n-no..." Saffire stuttered surprised at being called out and was keeping her hands on her chest. "...It's great! Most of that stuff got caught between my scales..." She sunk deeper into the water after that, but her hands didn't move from her chest.
"Is something wrong, Saffire?" Risabeel asked, seeing the Dragon fidgeting around with her chest.
"No, it's nothing, haha." Saffire laughed, coming back up from the water, hands still on her breasts.
"They float, don't they?" Baba swam up to Saffire coming right up to her face, chest to chest with her and trailed one of her fingers on Saffire's hands. "What's wrong with letting those melons free?" She continued to make small circles on Saffire's hands while her free hand was rubbing her shoulder.
"They float?" Both Risabeel and Blake one curious about how such a thing could happen while the other was barely holding back the need to stick out a little bit more.
"Come on! Baba! Just move out of the way a little for me!" Blake yelled in his mind, moving some leaves out of his eyes.
"B-b-back off! Air-head!" Saffire pushed Baba away, letting her breasts float lightly above the water, giving Blake a feast of the eyes shaking the bush he was in. "Huh!? That better not be you! Scaleless!" She growled with a fireball in her hand that she chucked at the bush.
"Goddess fucking dammit!" Blake ducked down, letting the fireball go over his head and smacked into a tree setting it on fire. "Just stay calm, and they'll not come looking?" He whispered to himself as the fire kept on burning behind him with some smoke getting in his face, but that was a lot more pleasing than having to face Saffire's wrath directly.
"Why'd you do that? You could've hurt some poor woodland animal?" Baba pointed out to Saffire and splashed some water on her face to cool Saffire and her hands off. "Or more importantly, Hubby."
"Yea! Or what if it was that Slime from earlier!" Mari said as well, and Saffire let out a little laugh at that.
"Hah, as if that thing blew up like a volcano and if it did live that then it would probably go after Scaleless again, haha!" Saffire chuckled to herself, remembering when Blake got felt up by the Slime, forgetting about her two floating orbs.
"Yea, you'd like that a lot, dumb Dragon," Blake whispered if it wasn't for the beautiful naked bodies in front of him and the fact that he didn't want to get caught, he would have some things to say to Saffire right now but moved a little closer for a better view of them. "Huh?" When he did, he felt something wet, cold, and sticky under his hand, and he froze. "Please let it be shit, oh Goddess on high...please..." He prayed, closing his eyes to look at his right hand and opened one of them to find the same blue Slime now red from Blake's touch and was trying to climb up his arm. "No! No! NOT AGAIN!" He jumped out of the bushes and into the lake with a big splash. "Phew! That could've been bad." He sunk into the water enjoying his dip until a pair of small arms wrapped around his neck and two little round somethings pressed against his back. "..."
"~Oh~ I was wondering when you were going come and peek at us, Hubby," Baba whispered seductively into Blake's ear, then rested her chin on his shoulder still rubbing up on him. "Did you like what you saw so far?" She asked as her hands went over his chest down his stomach then lower. "Cause Mama likes what she ~feels~."
"Oh? Really? So do I..." Blake tried acting cool and calm, but a red face and his hands subconsciously stopping Baba from going any further were proof that he was not up for anything Baba had planned, at least not in front of four other people one of which being his little sister. "...Hmm? Did the water just get warmer?" He asked when steam was coming from the water's surface, and some growling was heard from behind him and Baba. "Oh, right?"
"You little-perverted creep!" Saffire furiously barked as heat was pouring off of her drying up the water that was hitting her as she moved up to Blake and Baba about to give the smith a fiery beat down. "HUH!?" If he didn't suddenly turn around on her and grabbed her breast. "What are you doing!?" She growled, turning as red as her scales if she had them on right now, feeling Blake's somewhat cold hands on her hot skin.
"Well? If I let go I'll get an eye full of those floating fruits you got there," Blake answered still red in the face, but if he was going to die might as well die happy!
"~Oh~" Baba still pressed on Blake's back went back to feeling him up. "Well, you were having such a nice time watching from afar that I thought you'd never come out even with that fireball getting thrown at you." She said, giving him away.
"That was you!" Saffire wanted to move closer to chew on Blake but everything she did made his hands rub up on her chest, and when she tried moving back or underwater, he followed her. "GRRR! STOP THAT!"
"I am not letting you go until you promise not to kill me." Blake offered, keeping his hands firmly on Saffire beasts and gave them a grope. "As soft as ever."
"Hey, uh, some people aren't into seeing you three having foreplay," Rena blankly said held close to Mari who in turn was held close to Risabeel using her as to a way cover herself from Blake. "Either get on with it or go somewhere else."
"Get away from my brother Tits Mcgee and you too, Granny!" Mari glared at both women around her brother, making the Dragon hang her head while the Ala just smiled sweetly.
"I am sure there is a good reason for your coming here, Sir Blake, yes?" Risabeel questioned with her eyes closed as not to see anything. "What would Sir Blake think of me if I looked at him now?"
"Yea, that's right I was looking around for some firewood," Blake answered Risabeel half lying he did tell the guys, that he was going out to look for wood. "But that freaking Slime came after me!" He turned back to where he was hiding...looking for wood, and the Slime was there looking at him longingly but wasn't trying to get into the water. "Huh? What gives? You can eat fire, lightning, and wind. What's so bad about water?"
"Oooo?" The Slime made some sounds and morphed around to answer Blake, but he wasn't getting any of it and turned to Mari for a translation.
"...It says water makes it all sloppy, and it can't move well after that." Mari answered for the Slime with it giving her a thumbs up.
"Hey, you haven't told us how you can understand that thing, Mari?" Rena asked, looking up at Mari, but the young girl shook her head.
"I don't know? I just can but not everything," Mari explained a bit confused when the Slime started making some more sounds which the only thing she could pick out was that it wanted to come with them and something about Blake tasting good. "Hey, Blake, can I keep it?"
"Hmm?" Blake looked up to think it over while squeezing Saffire breasts, making her angrier and angrier. "...Fine, as long as you keep it away from me and take care of it, the little ball of goo is yours." He agreed to take the Slime along with them. "After all, you seem to have it under control...most of the time."
"YAY! Os! You get to come with us!" Mari cheered, throwing her arms into the air with her new Slime pet doing the same with two tendrils now yellow in color.
"Os? How did you come to such a name for the Slime?" Risabeel asked eyes still closed shut and wasn't going to open them until Blake was gone.
"Cause it says 'O' most of the time," Mari answered.
"Ooo!" Os agreed, making a nodding motion with its whole body.
"So now we got that mage and a Slime with us to Gorz..." Blake muttered, thinking that Reiner was either pretty smart or could see into the future since Blake's cart had room for a big group. "..." While he was thinking that over he was also slowly moving towards the edge of the lake with both Saffire and Baba at his front and back. "Alright, girls, I had my fun, but it's time to leave!" He shut his eyes before letting go of Saffire's chest and jumped out of the water. "Laters!" After which he made a mad dash out of there.
"Get back, you little pervert!" Saffire started to change into her Dragon form to chase after Blake not done with him yet.
"~Oh~ Wait up, Hot-head some of us have to put clothes to go man hunting." Baba got out after her and went for a towel hanging on a tree, thinking whether or not she should chase after Blake without putting something on. "That would make things ~faster~" And flew after them nude.
"Ooo!" Along with Os right behind her, turning into a snake to move faster.
"Is Sir Blake gone?" Risabeel slowly opened her eyes and was thankful to see that Blake wasn't there, letting herself sink into the water.
"Hey, you still haven't washed out my hair yet," Mari told her with some soap still left on her head.
"Ah, I am sorry, I could not do it with Sir Blake around...I did not want to make him feel embarrassed..." Risabeel went back to washing Mari's hair while she was finishing Rena's all the while Blake's panicked screams were heard from the trees as pillars of smoke were in a line followed by gusts of wind and oddly bolts of lightning.
At the hill Valac was on
"...Argh..." Valac was laying on the ground after the Slime now called Os had attacked and drained him dry. "...Unnngh..." Unlike Nathan or Blake, he was left recovering much longer still unable to move. "...La-la-lady Ri-Risa-beel..." And prevented him from going after Risabeel, who was basically on her own at this very moment. "...The next time I see Andrew's ghastly face, I will make him wish he could die!" He spat out just as a combo of fire, wind, and lightning was coming his way. "..."

Minglings
Without any previous indication, all the televisions, smartphones, and radios start broadcasting a message recorded by the government leaders of the world. In it, they explain a horrible tragedy that is about to befall us. Our earth will blend with what is considered to be the primary dimension after having been apart for an unknown amount of time. The merger will not only affect the world, but also the beings on it, and humanity must mingle with other species or die out. Everybody will need to determine the other-dimensional race to pick. The world leaders have known of this for many years and have tried preparing people by creating popular fiction, games, and movies. These are nothing more than tutorials of what is about to happen.
8 86The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.

8 496A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
