Chapter 23: I Miss You
It is dark, but not so much that it’s utter blackness when I open my eyes to wake. I stretch my arms out of the blanket and a small yawn escapes my mouth. Reimuz is still asleep, facing me, snoring like a little baby.
What? Startled at the sight of his sleeping face, I hold my head with one hand.
Why am I here? I remember going back to Altea about a week ago.
Does this mean that me leaving him behind that night and going back to Altea is nothing but a dream? And… why are we naked? Did we perhaps did it again? How come I can’t remember all of this?
First of all, I should try doing something.
I chuckle to myself and pinch his nose a little. Nothing. No reaction from this energetic fool means he’s that exhausted.
I could watch him all day and still not get bored. His naturally slitted eyes makes it hard for me to discern what he’s thinking, but all it informed me right now is his innocence. As usual, his black hair is a disaster, but that doesn’t make him less appealing in my eyes. His breath so hot and so muscular under my nose. Ah, I think I’m going crazy. I shake my head, trying my best to break free from my odd fantasies. Seriously it’s all his fault! Is it just me or does he look so endearing lately?
No matter. I kiss the edge of his mouth and sit up, my eyes searching for something to wear. There, found his shirt on the ground. I slip out of the bed and pick it up. I put it overhead, wiggle my head out, and his shirt drops just enough to cover my sensitive area. Good, it’s uncomfortable to think that I’m defenseless underneath, but it’s better than nothing at least.
I sneak a view outside, parting our curtain just enough for me to have a clear glance. Dawn is breaking on the horizon, with a hint of gold over the drapery blue. Hmm, this explains the chill in the air for the sun has yet to rise.
I admire that view for a few seconds then walk straight to the bathroom to take care of my morning needs. Since that idiot is a big sucker for ponytails, I fix my hair just like that. Just what he wants. And like usual, I am drawn into admiring the green haired figure that appeared in front of the mirror—which is me. As if it is a daily ritual, I cup my own two breast. Hmm, hmm… It seems like I’ve grown a little. Although he said that he loves them small, I still couldn’t get my mind off about it. I am girl after all. Worrying about the size of my breast is only natural, or I’d like to think that it is.
I try calling out to Sylphie and Cliona in my head, but both of them didn’t answer… I wonder why?
Getting out of the bathroom, I take a fresh underwear and shorts for me to wear. I bend over and put them on, while taking glances at this idiot who's still asleep. Too sound asleep! Which reminds me, this fool had always told me to wake him up early. So, with that in mind, I hover on top of him and give his shoulders a light tap.

“Wake up,” I say.
“Hold on,” he groans back, shrugging my hand away.
“Wake up,” I tap him even harder.
“Gosh,” he grumbles, his lips moving around as if he’s tasting something. Next moment, he pulls me into submission and my heart takes a crazy leap. “You sweet little thing,” he whispers, his breath tickling the back of my ear.
"Reimuz," I clear my throat and manage to blabber a few more words. “It’s sunrise, Reimuz.”
“Is it now?” he say in a sarcastic tone, his arms tightening around my belly. I can see and imagine his grin in his voice too. The nerve of him! “You smell so wonderful Celes, too divine,” he murmurs, nudging my nape and I squirm.
“Y-You told me to wake you up this early,” I stutter a reply, and my cheeks gets warm.
I can’t believe that after all we’ve been through, I’m still getting embarrassed with this guy. What is it with his kisses that’s so captivating anyways? But perhaps this is how everyone feels after a good night of sex. Oh, what am I even thinking? This is clearly your fault, Mr. Reimuz!
“Oh yeah, I did say that,” he says in surprise, as if he snapped out of his dreamworld. He frees me and slips himself out of the blanket. “Morning Celes,” he stoops down and kisses my cheek.
I flush, my inner self squealing inside. “Morning Reimuz,” I wince back up and return his morning kiss. “You want some coffee?” I ask.
“Some tea, if they have it,” he slaps his knees up and walk to the bathroom, naked.
I smile, thinking that’s my guy right there. Oh well, I take it upon myself to wear my sandals, got out of our room in a stretch, and head downstairs. In the morning, the bar in this inn acts like a cafeteria. Perhaps it’s because of me coming down early, but there’s not a sign of people other than the inn owner. How should I describe her? She’s quite the sizable woman with signs of old age wrinkling her forehead, but her smile is warm, filling the inn with a comfortable feeling. Good for me, I thought. Less people, less trouble.
Hugging myself to fight the dreaded cold, I walk towards the inn lady.
“Hello,” I greet her while she’s wiping the tables. I sure hope I’m not being a bother.
“Oh, if it isn’t the little lady at the fifth room upstairs,” she stops what she’s doing and face me with a smile. “Your man’s treating you well?” she asks, masking the smirk on her lips.
I blush slightly. “Quite well in fact.”
“That’s good. You came?”
“Three times.” Oh, why am I blurting out something so embarrassing? The inn lady bursts into laughter after hearing my straight reply, and I blush even more.
“Good, he seems like an earnest young man to me.”
“And very sweet too,” I added. Now I can’t stop grinning like an idiot.
“So, what do you need?” she asks, placing a hand on her waist.
“Just two cups of tea, if that’s possible.” I murmur, trying my hardest to prevent this grin from splitting my face.
“Easy. Come,” she smiles kindly at me and gestures me to sit at the bar.
I follow and place my elbows on top of the wooden counter, gazing at her handiwork from across my position. She start by lighting her wood-burning stove with a matchstick, and once the wood has produced enough fire to burn, she places a kettle on top. I watch the wood burn, a pleasant smell wafting through my nose, silently cradling me to sleep… And then I suddenly wake to the sound of water boiling. My ears twitch and I flush.

“How does he like his tea?” she inquires.
“Probably sweet, with a lot of milk,” I answer back.
The inn lady nods and complies to my request, filling up a wooden cup meant for booze with her sensational milk tea. I laugh and collect the items from her outstretched hand, posing a question at the same time.
“How much is it?”
“It’s on the house,” she shrugs me off with a bright smile.
Her kindness makes me feel warm. I smile back and accept her offer. As soon as she finishes my business, she returns to cleaning up the tables, preparing the inn for the upcoming morning. Careful not to spill the tea in my hands, I walk up the stairs and return to my room in a heartbeat.
“Welcome back,” Reimuz greets me the moment I make my way inside.
He’s planted himself on a chair near the window, with his gaze press on the table, too occupied to even give me a quick glance. And I even got him some tea. I want to pout, but I don’t want to ruin his day. I set our cups on his right and lovingly wrap my arms on his neck, my chin resting on top of his head. He’s wearing another plain shirt he probably bought in a ditch somewhere when I’m not looking. He’s so cheap.
“What are you doing?” I ask, looking through the sheets of paper he’s gathered on the table.
He grabs for his cup of tea and take a quick sip.
“Oh, this is good stuff,” a smile spreads across his face while savoring the tea. Besides, did he just ignore my question? No matter, I’ll just tease him in exchange.
“Reimuz, I want to have sex,” I whisper, burning with childish amusement.
How would this idiot react now, I wonder? Yet, instead of him spitting out his tea like I’ve imagined, he continues to sort his papers without even flinching at my question. I bite on my lip, annoyed.
“Hey, Reimuz, let’s do it,” I tease his earlobe, putting it around my teeth, nibbling softly.
“This early? What made you so horny all of a sudden?” he says, sounding so disinterested.
I release his ear to reply. “Why not? Do I need a reason to be loved by you?”
He shifts to my side, placing an elbow on the top railing, and glances up. He move his lips and curve it wryly at me. I blush and fidget. Lately, I melt whenever he stares.
“You’re sounding like Cliona,” he frowns and scolds me.
I frown back at him. “Don’t compare me to that slut.”
“Then don’t call her one,” he says, scratching his head.
“Why are you defending her?”
“I am not.”
“Oh yes, you definitely are. You jerk,” I pout.
“Celes, what do I need to do to keep you at ease? It’s troubling to know that you don’t trust me—after all this time.”
“I do trust you.”
“Then why are you throwing a tantrum like a child?” he asks, but his voice is cautious. I know he doesn’t want to get me mad, and I do not want to look any more worse than an immature and jealous girlfriend.
Taking my silence as a foundation, he grabs me by the hip. I acquiesce, and just like that, our fight is over. He drags me inside the circle of his arms and I sit on his lap, facing the table. He’s pressing me against his chest. So close…
“I’m sorry. I don’t want you getting upset,” he kisses my shoulder, and I melt, along with my quick witted anger.
What am I going to do? His breath’s so hot and tantalizing, like it’s caressing my very being. Seriously, I feel so ludicrous for getting mad at him now, but I can’t help myself. It’s clearly my fault, and I’m so embarrassed for not saying a single word to apologize. Yet all he does is condone me, like his spoiled little baby girl. I giggle inside and enjoy his warmth reserved only for myself.
“Still mad at me?” he murmurs softly.
“Very much so,” I lie, masking the glee in my chest. There’s no reason for me to continue acting like this, but I love it when he pays attention to me.
He sighs, turning still for a moment, and I have no idea what he thinks. What is he gonna do now? He leans forward to grab his feather pen sitting on its ink holder and our cheeks touch. He starts to write in beautiful scribbles, words that I couldn’t read nor recognize.
“What are you writing?” I ask, beaming with childish curiosity. “I’ve read plenty of books in Altea, but it’s my first time seeing such complex writing.”
“It’s my language,” he murmurs, his gaze alternating from his own sheet of paper to some old book. A really thin one.
“So what’s written in that book?”
“Oh, something silly you wouldn’t want to know.” he snorts proudly.
I cross my arms and snorts back. “If you’re gonna start, then you better explain till the end, Mister.”
He continues writing, a wide grin plastered on his face. “Well, according to Wein’s notes, there’s a ship full of human men bound for the demon continent that travels every three years. Since Demons only consist of females, the only way for them to breed is through a different race—which is humans, mainly.”
“So you asked him where to take that ship then? Excited to have an erotic and sensual life filled of demonic beauty? Why don’t you two have a vacation over there?” I snap, my temper at the brink of explosion.
“Hahaha, don’t worry, we plan to. I heard he got this really cool skill after slurping an Alraune’s nectar till the very last drop. I wonder if I could too,” he nonchalantly says, which annoyed me even further.
“What the… Are you serious?”
“Yes,” he replies immediately.
Heat swells behind my eyes as I try to get my mind off somewhere, and when I blink, I feel a tear slipping out. I cover my mouth to stifle a sob. Go. Die. Somewhere. For playing with my heart. Oh clueless me, this is what you get for falling in love with a piece of shit human being. I thought he’s different, but he’s the same piece of shit after all.
He chortles and hugs me even tighter. “Errr, not really. You know I’m spellbound by your beauty, your kindness, your innocence, your pointed ears, your sharp and witty tongue, your sweetness—the list never ends. Celes, if you’re a witch, you cast some extreme magic.”
I flush and squirm. Suddenly the tears stop. Wow, is he serious? No, no, he’s probably diverting the conversation to something else. He’s done this so many times. And I’m not dumb enough to fall for the same trick more than once… Well, maybe twice. Still, my inner self is squealing in happiness.
“Because I’ve fallen head over heels for you, Celes,” he whispers softly, his voice sounds so… odd. Husky and delicious. He takes a few strands of my hair in his hand and inhales it deeply. Oh, what do I do? He’s gone crazy, but I love him nonetheless.
“I want you,” he continues, his other hand brushing my knuckle with his thumb. “Every strand of your hair, your bones, till the last droplet of your blood—all of it is mine, Celes. You’re mine.”
This is too much for my brain to handle. My heart is basically jumping in little somersaults. He slips his arm under my knee and cradles me up. He’s smiling at me, his dark eyes bright with amusement. I wrap my arms around his neck, as if to give permission, and there it goes, my anger for him dissolves completely.
He places me down our bed, still with my sandals on, but I guess that’s the least of my worries right now. I flush scarlet as he hovers on top me, his knees supporting his weight.
“Gosh, look at what you did to me. I was holding myself back because I know you’re still sore from last night,” he gazes at me fondly, then kisses my tear away. How can such a simple act feels so good?
“Is that it? You’re holding yourself back because you’re worried about me?”
My hands shake and tears come faster now, blurring my vision. I’m such an idiot. All of it is just my misunderstanding after all. It never come across my mind, but he’s probably still worried about what happened when he took my first time.
“I’m sorry,” he whisper in an apologetic and sad tone. He clutches my face, softly brushing my tears with his thumb, our foreheads pressed against each other.
“You didn’t hurt me, Reimuz. You didn’t.” I shake my head, bumping the tip of his nose.
“Really? I’m stupid.”
“No, we’re stupid.”
He smiles, a beautiful smile beaming with honesty. Yes, that’s what I love about him the most.
“I still wouldn’t dare though,” he murmurs, kissing my cheek to tease. “Are the spirits around?” he ask, his eyes darting around our room.
“No,” I say, kissing him back. “They’re still out I believe, patrolling the city since last night. I just didn’t want any more troubles troubling you while we’re still here.”
“So sweet,” he murmurs, kissing my forehead this time. I close my eyes and squirm, my nerves prickling with excitement, my inner self desiring for more.
In the next instant, his lips are on mine, deliciously exquisite. I want his kiss so badly, I don’t know why. I don’t know what’s happening to myself. I clutch to his hair and pull him closer, deepening our kiss even more. His hands travels to my waist and they stay there, holding me in position.
“Hands up,” he commands, and I do as I’m told. He kisses my throat and I wriggle beneath him. Next thing I know, my hands are back on clutching his hair. He doesn’t stop kissing me, and I moan.
“You’re so delicious, Celes,” he growls against my lips. “There’s something about you that tastes so good, you know?”
I smile. “Nobody’s stopping you to find out. I’m all yours to taste, Reimuz.”
Panting, I take the initiative and launch my lips to his. A lustful wild kiss. He lurches forward and grasp my other arm up, his free hand clutching my face as we kiss.
“How sore are you, baby?” he breaths, tilting my chin and taking my mouth again. He’s ravaging my lips, sucking my tongue inside, forcing me to submit.
“Just fine,” I manage to say.
Ah… Too good. With just his kiss alone, I can already feel myself glistening down low. Sparing no moment, he hooks his thumbs on my shorts and gently pulls it away along with my panty, leaving me with nothing but his shirt again.
“Turn over for me, Celes,” he breaks away from our kiss and suddenly whispers. “We’re gonna make this quick.”
I clasp my hands on his face and kiss him briefly. “But I want to see you,” I murmur.
He pauses. “You’re such a demanding lady,” he teases, pinching my naked behind.
I yelp and slap him softly in response. He smiles a lopsided smile that made my heart jump, his eyes warm and soft. I flush and his smile widens mischievously. Tearing his shirt overhead, he discards it somewhere in the room. I sit up and do the same, and while he’s struggling out of his trousers, I gape at him in pure amazement. Oh… he’s gotten so big already.
A slow wicked grin spreads across his face. “There’s no turning back now, Celes.”
I nod, my cheeks the hottest it has been today. He crawls back on our bed, kissing me as he go. So sweet and loving, he made me giggle in delight as he press me down.
“My favorite breast,” he murmurs, tentatively working his lips down low. He kisses my breast, sucking, pulling out my taut nipple. My body shakes uncontrollably, responding to his gentle assault. But he doesn’t stop circling me with his tongue. He continues to suck my breast, one and the other, and I writhe helplessly.
“Ahhh,” I moan and groan, his lips trailing from my breast to navel, ending a kiss on my sex.
He licks my sensitive part—one good spoonful of his lecherous tongue slides on my opening down to my little nub—making me squirm. I moan and clutch forward, my hands clawing on the bed sheets. No… It’s turning me on so much.
“Raise your thighs, Celes,” he murmurs between the apex of my thighs.
I follow his guidance, as always. Leading me on, he clutches on my arms and a dangerous gleam flashes on his eyes. He gazes at my eyes, his erection rubbing against my most sensitive area.
“Don’t hesitate, I’m okay.” I reassure him.
He slowly sinks into me with a savoring slow pace. I close my eyes, moaning, relishing his erection inside me. He stoops down to kiss me, pushing the entirety of his length inside. He eases back and very slowly fills me up again.
“You like this?” he asks.
“Yes… Just like that…”
Another cry of sensual pleasure escapes my lips. He’s loving me in such a simple way, but this slow sex just hits me deep. I want to flail my arms and embrace him closer, but he’s gripping me tight, not letting go.
“Celes,” he moans and hisses my name. “You’re so tight…”
Like me, his eyes are half close, thrusting me in a sweet and soulful, very delicate, Reimuz-like loving. He’s making me go crazy. My heads spinning and my nerves clambering with him inside. He starts to quicken, pounding me in a rhythm that is both soft and tender, yet punishing in a way that made me tip my head back.
Ah… His gentleness swirls in my mind, spiraling me in pleasure, leading in the most sensual orgasm I’ve ever have. I exploded into tiny little pieces—a pleasurable sensation that overwhelms everything else. As I clench around him, he too, blows his release, filling me up with his warm seed.
“Ah… That was the best, Celes.”
Breathing heavily, he collapses on top of me, squeezing a few more pumps inside. I run my fingers through his hair and softly plant a kiss on his forehead. He smiles, and I smile in return.
“Are you happy now?” he breathes.
“Yes,” I whisper.
He drag himself to the side and embrace me tightly from behind. Simply like that, we surrender to our exhaustion and sleep together once again.
“I’m really sorry, Celes… I never meant to hurt you that night.”
“...Huh?”
I woke to the bright morning sun streaming in across the bed and into my eyes.
“A dream?”
The accumulating pain swells up behind my eyes. Blinking, the moisture collecting in my eyes further blurs my vision.
Rubbing my eyelids, I gather myself up and walk towards the window. Cool breeze sweeps through my cheeks as I open my white trimmed windows. Looking on the budding flowers and the space towards the high stone wall surrounding my yard, I sigh deeply. That’s right. What was I expecting? That was nothing but a dream… I’m back in Altea after all…
“How are you, Reimuz? I miss you.”
