Ants brought in bags full of money. As for where the money came from. He got it by using the ants to break into every bank in Manhattan and every ATM machine. Quite simple really all the ants needed to do was go inside the Bank when it was about to close then eat every human in the bank leave no witnesses. Afterwards take the keys in the bank and open up the safe. By doing so they bagged all the money and left through the sewers.

So a side effect for this made him become able to remember everything in his last life. Another side effect for this is he got the side effect of doing things based on logic when making decisions. This is the reason why he can act so Ruthlessly without batting an eye.
