《The Chosen: Colossus of Evil》Chapter 57

With things gathered and the sacrifices prepped for transformation, Logan stands to the side while the zealots start the ritual. Six of the misty men start chanting the phrase “As I wait for the title force to take upon my body and soul I shall fear no darkness, I shall fear no death for, I shall embrace the holy aurora of the light”
As the chanting continued Colossus stood in the middle of a drawn circle to the floor of his library that had been remodeled to accommodate the ritual. White silk garments coated the walls with various symbols of holy writings embedded in gold upon them. Bright silver candle stick holders were positioned accordingly around the room on pedestals of marble rimmed with brass, and for the sanctity of the power involved in the room much to Logan’s dislike was blessed with a holy word, it hurt for him to be in the room but being as powerful as he was he was able to resist the power of the blessing, mostly anyways.
The circle was painted to the floor by the blood of seven sacrificial demons, who gave their lives voluntarily for the cause. The sacrifices of one Manticore wing, one elder vampire provided by Logan, a unicorn’s horn grounded to a fine dust and one phoenix natural blessing which was hard to come by but with leverage was willing to comply with Colossus. The items and the phoenix were placed around in a circle who was instructed to caste its blessing on the final line of the ritual chanting. Colossus then placed his blade on a alter made of pure gold with the stones at its side, as the speech carried on one by one the stones connected to the blade in an ordinary fashion and uniqueness. With each one gripping to the blade Colossus was infused with a jolt of energy from the dark power of the stones. The power intensified greatly each time a stone connected and when the last one fused to the blade, an intense beam of bright white light emitted through the tower from the roof right down upon his location and engulfing him with it. Logan quickly covered his body and face with his thick magical blackened cloak and with a spell of a globe of darkness also around him for good measure. The defenses seemed to hold the light at bay but just barely for the holy light was the strongest Logan had ever felt before. The beam then disappeared and after the blessing so did the phoenix for it would not stay in the presence of evil at all, but Colossus was left beaming a white glow around his body not revealing an ounce of flesh to any eyes which seemed to be moving and forming into something.
“The power…The absolute POWER” Colossus cried out during the transformation as angelic wings began to grow upon his back. They were as thin as silk and looked like strands of ripped flags as they fluttered freely in the air growing to a length of twenty feet. A hood was created upon his head covering his whole face and only left a black shaded masking shroud to be seen. His arms and legs were engrossed with a bright sparkling white light that appeared to show him as a swirl of ghostly white energy in a humanoid form. His hands and feet looked as shadow with glowing ruins that were embedded upon his chest area in a golden shine and formed the trinity symbol. Finalizing the transformation Colossus grew in height to an even ten feet and stood in the presence of all swaying his wings back and forth with a ghostly presentation.

“Amazing” Colossus spoke and felt his voice had changed to a deep command that echoed a bone shudder that would demand obedience. He started to laugh and his voice echoed a resonance about the structure of the tower it grew louder and louder until Colossus threw his arms into the air as if to grasp the very sky striking out the words “It worked (laughing) the realm is mine to command…to control!!!” he thundered shaking to tower rattling dust of support pillars and door archways.
Logan who was still shading himself from the sizzling light of death given off by Colossus, he stood in awe at his presence as well as a massive amount of fear flowed through his body. Colossus then turned his head to and walked to his blade looking at the ground along the way to see scorch marks in the ground following the painted blood and ashes where the sacrifices once were.
Logan who was by the alter looked upon it to see Colossus’s beloved blade. It looked the same but for one main difference, it carried on its surface veins now that spidery out like a web all over the face of it on both sides. It held within the veins yellow neon ooze that coursed through them like blood.
A rising heat came to his back as Logan turned to see Colossus approaching him, “Stand aside if you would Logan” and complying with out a second thought Logan crept backwards from his way. Colossus reached for the hilt and upon its grip a spark of black bolted energy coursed through him and then back to the blade, momentarily immobilizing him. “Incredible, it’s talking with me, in my mind…I hear it so clearly…it says that we are one now” he replied to Logan and with a look of disgruntled confusion Logan posed a question.
“Colossus, why are you a being of white power; why are you a…”
“Celestial being, you were expecting a tail, horns and a devilish completion weren’t you” corrected Colossus with Logan’s head nodding to him, “Because my friend before all of this if you remember, I was a celestial human, and though I have changed over the years my mind tissue and blood line strength cannot ever, so in the great balance of all that needs a side whether good or evil…this is my side, and I intend on holding to position well” and then looking around the hall to see his beloved followers on their still full knees at his greatness. Colossus spins his blade to point the blade down and touching the ground with it unexpectedly disintegrates all of them in his sight.
“Colossus what the…you killed them…why?”
“They were now a liability and for where my path leads they couldn’t follow anyway, but now that that’s over with, on to you!” Colossus stated staring at him.
Logan waited motionless for him to finish the job half expecting him to cleave Logan in half but instead Colossus snapped his fingers and appearing in his massive hand palm laid a black chest.
“Open this Logan” Colossus guided him and unlocking it and lifting the lid Logan picked up out of it a chain with a metal, made with a blue color,
“What is it?” Logan asked
“Your reward for your loyalty served, but it’s not finished yet; for that to have been possible this had to be reality” Colossus said pointing at his new form, and taking the heavy linked chain from Logan’s grasp Colossus puts his hands around the chain in the middle and running his fingers along it right to its ends a blue pulsing glow followed in its wake, he finished and then gave it back. “This Logan is the War chains of Celestial Binding, placed it on the ground in any shape you desire by connecting the two ends then think of an opponent you wish to fight and when he finally meets you within the chain, neither one of you may leave till the death of one is granted. You being already dead, means that the dusting of you will also null the chains effects so take heed and care. Straud may know of this devise so hiding it within the ground would be best I imagine” Colossus concludes and rolling the chain which spanned over a great distance, well enough for a large fighting area Logan thanks him for a sufficient reword and started his way to the doorway.

“And Logan” said Colossus went the bone chilling call to Logan’s ears, and thinking to his mind as he turned around to face him for the impending backstab was imminent Logan mustered the voice to reply
“Yes” he said
“Well done” responded Colossus with a nod to his hooded face, and nodding back Logan wasting no more time with words of movement smoked from his presence.
After Logan departed from his sight, Colossus began to disperse and hide his items and property from his tower to all over the realm. He made frequent trips from the tower all over the place and on his last return trip Colossus while packing up the last of his things thought he had felt a rumble throughout the structure of the tower. He ignored it at first and continued with his final preparations but felt and heard the noise again and again getting louder and louder, shaking more and more. Finally he witnessed the great throne room door starting to crack down the middle and when the fissure got big enough an explosion blew the door apart. Colossus covered himself from the blast and removing his wings from shielding him from the blast he saw the figure of a woman with muddy black hair.
“Who the bloody hell are you, how did you get here and find this place?” Colossus demanded as he stared down to her towering high over her casting a shadow engulfing her body in shade, the redness in Larissa’s eyes pulsed red with a fury never seen as she spoke.
“A little firefly told me that you’d be here, and here you are. My purpose is to evict you from this realm and away from mine. I have heard there might be a challenge against me from you” she sparked back with a little grin not seen.
“Not yet” Colossus replied with his blade at his backside away from her vision Colossus charged the blade’s power to a massive blast, and spinning around he unleashes it against her.
She takes full impact and is blasted backwards against the hallway door and out of the throne room entrance; she is put through two more walls and is piled by thousands of pounds of rubble.
“I hate to be interrupted by moronic demons” spat out Colossus finishing his task, but the freedom was short lived when he once again heard the rumble of his tower. The debris was thrown off her body and Larissa emerged once again to her feet, floating up to a vertical stance, and growing angry Colossus once again charged his blade.
Larissa shook the dust made from the rubble from her hair and parting her level hair down the middle stared deeply in annoyance to Colossus, “That was a mistake you pathetic excuse for an angelic being, but happily one that will not occur again” she finished her statement with Colossus once again unleashing another bolt of powered energy twice as potent as before against her, and hurling toward her and the speed of sound Larissa simply raised her hand to the blast and it stopped just in line with her eyes.
“HUH?!?” said Colossus with a bewildered look and cocking her head to the right a bit Larissa sent the bolt back at him with the same force. Colossus leaped to the side to strafe from the blast attack and Larissa compensated by tossing a flame blast from her own hand at his calculated location. He was hit high in the torso dead on and from impact was blasted high to the tower ceiling crushing through the roof and was hurled to the open realm of the dead lands. The bolt deflected off the pile of items Colossus gathered and from the sheer magical potency of the combined items it blew the tower completely apart. A huge explosion echoed throughout the land ringing into even dead ears but not moving from her spot Larissa embraced the collapse. When the dust settled she still stood, unharmed and unscathed with her face to the grayish dead sky, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath and a look of ungrateful gratitude fell upon her face.
“His life signs are strong…he is still alive…but not for long” she smiled cackling as she disappeared.
To avoid having to land outside his unprotected realm of the land of the undead and be at the mercy from the grip of the shade king, Colossus teleports to the main realm land on his flight down. He arrives on the plain but still falling he impacts the ground hard and quickly looks around to see where he was. A dense forest held hidden his body and slowly getting to his feet Colossus only makes a few steps when weakness over comes him. He shakes to his knees and then plummets to the ground in pain as he holds his chest looking at the wound Larissa gave him.
“I don’t understand” Colossus worries in his mind “It won’t heal it’s like I was hit by hell fire flames, but she’s no demon, I sensed a humanoid presence…wait firefly; did she mean Sephinroth…no, no I can’t go that way. No human carries the power of the hell flame and such a potent level of power…but what if…” Colossus grows to his thoughts the speech Sephinroth made about her creation of such a human girl and with the wound not healing and growing weaker by the second Colossus moves quickly to a new location. Realizing that he could die at her hand he hastily advances his plan to starting the entrance way ritual to the celestial but only said the words. The speech emanates a glow to his hilt capable of sending him up there and raising his hand to cut a hole in the air above him to finish the ritual his hand was suddenly stopped. Colossus moved his arm back and forth trying to budge the blade when he heard a laugh in front of him. Appearing from invisibility was again Larissa smiling to him,
“Leaving so soon Colossus, we haven’t even finished our date yet” she concludes moving her hand and levitating him into the air. Colossus is peeled away from his sword and is tossed harshly into the trees smashing through them to his dirt faced landing. Having a bit of fun she does it a couple more times clear cutting the forest with his body; and upon hitting the ground for the third time Colossus says some words in celestial and her telekinetic powers lift from his body. He stands as well as he could, staring at her.
“Well I have to admit, not many Celestial beings carry the power word to suspend my powers, you have quite the gift” and warping beside him she lifts him from his massive holy belt hoisting his ten foot body two more feet higher into the air using only one hand, and spinning around she throws him once again into the brush. Landing hard to the ground and near death Colossus looks to his most fortunes right side to see his blade lying by his side. Gripping it fast he swings it above his head cutting a hole in the thin air exposing a bright light in its wake, and gaining all left strength he leaps into the void just as Larissa was about to make a deadly strike. She looks to the void and proceeding to follow she was repelled by forces unknown to her. And just looking to the void as it closed she smiled.
“One less paying rent”.
