The lizardmen were closing upon the trio wielding a series of shell tipped spears.

Ruby Riley and Alice all directed their focus from the 2 serpents to the lizardmen that charged against them. The lizardman infront of them let out a war cry towards the trio.

“WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHH.”

The sight of the shell tipped spears charging at you is a sight that most people would not want to see in the first place with the daunting fear sent by the charge, but for the trio it was just a momentary status of being stunned.

Riley was the first out of that state, so it charged at the lizard men all by its self before glowing extremely bright outwards toward the lizards blinding them in their charge making the vanguard tip sending the whole group to the ocean floor.

“screech. . . uhh. . . . . . uugh. . . . . . . Plump. Plump. plump . . .”, As the lizard men turned into a pile that makes a unique series of high-pitched groaning sounds can be heard from it before they try and recover from the failed charge in the lightest form of the term.

By the sight and sound of the lizard pile caused both Ruby and Alice to come out of their fearful stunned state to become shocked again, not by the fear of the situation but the sheer comedic value that came from the pile’s existence.

In their laughter, the pile recovered rapidly to get into a sloppy excuse of a charge line, before they charged again.

the trio easily received the charge by Alice and riley retreating while Ruby with a quickly though up plan went on the offensive. Ruby’s ducked down to the ground before stretching one of her tentacles to a solid looking ankle high piece of coral to the left side of the charge’s path before retreating herself, once the lizardman charge went past the coral piece she made an immediate right causing the lizardmen to lose their footing. . . again.

While doing, this Ruby was very shocked at the fact that the lizards never noticed her tentacle tripwire, since they were more focused on Alice and Riley for Alice is a human child while riley caused them to fall before so it was mainly their rage making them focus towards him.

Silently chuckled at their simplicity but before the laughter came back the trio held their mouths and went fully to focus on the lizards.

Both Ruby and Riley went forward towards them while Alice stayed back channelling mana for a spell.

The battle in its shortest form was a slaughter on the side of the lizards, from the usage of ruby’s dark ball spell the main bulk of the group was annihilated like bowling pins, this left it so Riley and Alice were to pick off the rest of the lizards with Riley flashing them before Alice casting wind spells that made a thin blade of air go towards the lizards, while they were doing this Ruby learned of the difficulties of changing from a fish to octopi.

Moving her tentacles around Ruby slowly got the feeling of her new limbs, at least enough to move around.

At the moment that Riley and Alice returned and Ruby learned to move around, even if awkwardly a pair of suspicious serpents were sneaking up behind them.

They did a terrible job.

The fishy duo were a few feet before ruby and they seemed to approach to attack but in different ways.

This was noticed earlier by Ruby but she really knew what they wanted.

The two serpents when close enough to ruby both did something different from the other. The Ripples snake went for a small bow while the Diamond-scale went to whip her head off!

The snake’s attack caught both Alice & Riley off guard, but it seemed to ruby that it was obvious from the description she read that I would cause some trouble

She countered with sliding out of the diamond-scale’s path of attack.

She failed at this due to her new body that she had not fully became accustomed to yet so this ended with the snake-tail whipping Ruby on the back of her head.

Searing pain was sent shooting though ruby as the whip landed, the pain caused Ruby to have a lapse in consciousness where she drifted slowly to the floor.

. . .

A few moments later Ruby woke up on the ground but to a sight in the corner of her eye that she didn’t think would happen.

The diamond back was on the seabed itself unconscious with the ripple snake lingering over it showing a slight toothy grin towards the trio.

Unaware of how the serpent dominated the other ruby could only look towards her allies, each of them had different looks on their faces with Riley being indifferent and Alice blushing while turning away while keeping a peeping eye on the situation.

Since Alice is acting like that the ripple must have done something very. . . elicit, well anyway it subdued after all and that what matters currently.

Turning her body fully towards the serpent pair her eyes glowed brightly as she used her skill “red-eye enslavement” on the ripple snake, when the serpent realised it was about to be controlled it tried to turn its head quickly but Ruby’s skill hit before it could protect its self.

Entity Ripples water snake has been effected with “Red-eye enslavement” it will now follow your commands.

Ruby smiled from the new addition to the group well she would have if she had a mouth that could smile.

before the reptile battle Ruby contemplated an issue, she found a while a go about her group.

Everyone is a magic caster!

Ruby had dark magic, Riley has light magic and Alice is a Fire mage, so everyone is a mage of some kind so her group needs some muscle to protect them because now Riley being the bait is very dangerous for him since he’s not designed to be fast.

So the addition of the ripple snake was perfect, but a random thought passed through her mind.

‘If like in this battle there are more enemy’s than us I don’t think both of them could actually keep them at bay, also can the ripple snake actually protect us all?’

This random though sent doubt though her mind to the capabilities of the serpent so she checked its stats using her

Seeing the large amount of killing potential that the snake had ruby is a bit taken back but this late in the game she’s not surprised.

The fact that he uses poison is new at least but to her the desired position of front line attacker isn’t really covered with the snake.

Ruby tapped her tentacle against her now big head a thought it seemed to work more like an assassin or something, so contemplating that she finally turned to the now unconscious diamond back. . .
