As Ruby was looking at the bone remains of the duo a sudden urge fills her body telling her to salvage the bones.

she contemplates is this what they call instinct or just a need to become stronger.

our heroine slowly swam back to the corpses till her face/skull was a hands width from the bones, in mere seconds Ruby bites into the spine of one of the skeletons severing the head from the rest of body, without her even realizing like in a maddened rage she moves onto severing the arms and the pelvis from the rib-cage all before she swims into the center of the rib-cage and starts to emit a dark aura that latches onto the bones, the sounds of cracking bones can be heard as they start to fall in on them self's encasing ruby in there creamy embrace.

after a few seconds of silence the aura escapes at multiple places along the cage creating a black flash, as the darkness clears the new form of ruby is shown. Her bodies head point looks somewhat the same till you look towards where the spine for the skull should be where it seems a black elongated mass is copying the spine till you reach a rib-cage of black bones enclosing around the black mass that had widened till the bones are barely off the skin, at the end point of the rib-cage a large dark tail spews to the length of half a meter before ending with a mace like ending.

as the dark flash had ended Ruby regained contentiousness hovering in the water with her new body. she turns a flails trying to see what happened to her till she sees a part of plate mail from the dead duo that was deposited during the dark ball attack. once she saw herself in the reflection of the metal her first thought was.

from learning this ruby gives a hint of distrust in the litch monster before looking at the skeleton of the second adventure before ripping that one apart leaving the arms, Ruby stares at the arm intensely as a tendril of darkness reaches to the arm and connects it to Ruby's body but instead of the whole arm being connecting like she though it became separated at the elbow with the smaller bone changing shape to become the same as the larger bone with all the bones for the hands disappearing in the process, the two bones connect to Ruby on both side making it so she now looks like a head and torso with 2 stubby arms.

as the transformation is over the duo of monsters start to follow the foot steps that were left in the sand from them coming this way. . .

im making a new fiction as well so I can change between the two to alleviate stress and keep the creative juices flowing.
