《Blue mage》Chapter 28: ANOTHER MEETING UGH

After a bit, my legs had de-powdered, and I could move again. I sat up and stretched my wings which had been closed for too long and were stiff. Flexing them to work out the stiffness, I talked with Luke. "So, what's going on? How did your business work out?"
Luke looked confused for a second before he remembered. "Oh ya, I nearly forgot with all of this, but we've got a meeting to attend!" I immediately fall over, groaning. "Oh no, it seems like my legs broke again, and I can't come anymore." Luke starts to laugh as he grabs my hair and begins actually to pull me. Luke is a lot stronger than he looks, given I weigh a bit over 9,000 kilograms, and he's able to pull me a good couple of meters before I get up and shrink down to walk with him.
We chat about some non-things like who we were before the system and our favorite foods. Luke still insists the succubus is addictive, but I keep preaching the good word of how God damn good they taste. After a couple of hours, we reach Llyn, and I walk un-harassed through those gates for the second time.
Luke guides me towards the center of the town, and I wonder if I'll ever get to see the rest of the rapidly expanding town. The people walking along the street gave me odd looks or stared at me. It was a little weird, but I guess I should get used to it. Hell, Luke was getting twice as many stares, and he lived here. I couldn't imagine what Luke did to get these stares, but each pair of eyes that locked on him were filled with a tremendous amount of respect and admiration. Unlike mine, which were filled with suspicion and fear. To be fair, if I was them, I would think the same. Of course, I had worn a dumb lopsided grin the entire time since I had eaten my last meal showing off my extremely sharp teeth.

After a brisk 10-minute walk, we ended up at the center of town, and that building just kept getting bigger and better every time I saw it. Somehow there was a whole new wing to the building that wasn't there last time I was here ONE DAY AGO. But without further ado, we walked into the new branch. What the fuck? It was massive, and there were about 20 other people in it. As the door opened to reveal both Luke and me, I noticed that every set of eyes flicked over to us. I didn't recognize any of them, but that was to be expected. Some people looked like they recognized me, which was weird but eh, it doesn't really matter.
Luke covertly pointed to a seat at the back, so I broke off and sat down. About half of the eyes followed me while the rest continued with Luke. I was just over 2 meters tall right now, so the chair was pretty comfortable, but I longed to reach my max size again. Ever since the fight, it just seemed right. Speaking of the battle, I had some notifications to check. Completely ignoring the stares, I open up my notifications.
[All non-skill level-up rewards for this fight have been consumed to gain [Inner Peace]. [Inner Peace] is not a skill but a title. Titles grant no skills or stats but instead show that the wearer has accomplished something extraordinary. The conditions for gaining [Inner Peace] are fully understanding one's destiny and embracing it. If someone inspects you now, you will appear as Jace [Inner Peace] Perez.]
I was not feeling a lot of inner peace right now as the smile dropped off my face. My name sounded dumb as fuck now, and If I wasn't trying to be polite, I would have torn this building down in a fury. What the fuck does it mean I only got skill level-ups. I opened my stat sheet just to check if that was true.

And my smile was back; with the considerable growth in stats, it didn't really matter if I didn't get a new skill or a level up. It seemed like most of my skills had hit their cap and didn't evolve. Hmm, what was I going to have to do to get them to do so? I rolled my head back as I started up at the ceiling, pondering what I should do. After a minute, Luke cleared his voice and everyone, me included, looked over at him.
"Thank you for coming to this strategy meeting. To our benefit, we can work together to save our people's lives from danger. I have devised a strategy that should prevent any unnecessary death from occurring." Luke started to explain his plan, but a lady spoke up. "As important as that is, I, along with everyone here, demand to know why you brought a monster to this meeting. We're lucky it hasn't attacked us yet." I was outraged that they thought I was that murder happy. I opened my mouth to retort, but Luke started to laugh.
"You doubted his existence the hardest, but now that he's here in front of you, he still can't be real. Haha, I can't believe how bold you are, calling the strongest being here a monster." Luke then gave a hand signal that I somehow understood as 'use your hunger.' Which was strange, but hey, this was his town. I fully let out my hunger, and it was hard to not just leave and hunt down some tasty monster, like a succu- Luke's hand snapped out a new command this time to stop. The timing was suspicious, but I followed his order.
The woman's face was drained of blood as she stared at me, clearly in terror. I didn't really understand why; shouldn't she have just gotten hungry like I did. Whatever it seemed like, Luke had proven his point about whatever it was he was talking about. But after letting out my hunger, I could hardly think, let alone fully comprehend a whole battle plan; it was a battle plan, right? I was just so hungry now I was going hunting right after this. The meeting followed with Luke explaining that he would work with each town to fight a lieutenant. While I protected the villages, I was the best first responder, given my ability to fly. Also, I could kill and eat everyone, but Luke, in this room in under 30 seconds. The second Luke let them go, I was gone. As much as I loved being in meetings, I was almost too hungry to think, and it was time to feast.

Virtual reality MMORPGs have become a cultural phenomenon; a cynical 14-year-old girl plays the most popular of them with two controllers, controlling two characters at once. She promptly commits a crime against humanity, dies, learns the meaning of life, and then is reincarnated as both of her characters, Sing and Crier. The following is an edgy adventure of survival, relationships, and growth into adulthood in a world where everything is trying to kill her. This story is undergoing streamlining. Features such as Chapter Recaps and Reference Marks are also actively being added to earlier chapters. Be advised, your reading experience may be impacted.
8 192Earth's Army In Another World
As the god's battleground starts to turn into anarchy with justice and prosperity disappearing and instead being replaced by pain and suffering, the goddess of Justice and Prosperity has to do something that no other god or goddess has done. Like they can't return to earth unless they complete it. Without any governments, the armies are left to fend for themselves with a large amount of bullets, tanks, planes, and ships. This story will have a large amount of characterization and slice of life moments. I did an insane amount of research for this and poured so much time in, not just militarily, but other basic necessity things as well. Fights will be bloody, magic will be rampant, and the slice of life moments will just warm you to the core. (actual kingdom building)
