Hayley went to the bayou to check on her wolf friends, while Elijah went to see what Marcel was up to and Niklaus decided for once to hang out with his daughter in some hopes of trying to prove to her he wasn't a monster.
Aya Al-Rashid was just leaving after finishing up her latest talks with Marcel making sure they got everything squared when she ran into Elijah.
"Elijah," she said acknowledging him, before zooming away.
Elijah entered Marcel's place wanting to find out what she's doing here.
Marcel finishing his drink had a stoic face on, his back to Elijah looking out the window.
"Well come on in Elijah, you're always welcome to come and go as you please," he said sarcastically.
Elijah answering with his equally emotionless face that he usually sports spoke in a way he knew would rile him up- "Of course Marcellus, after all, we own New Orleans."
Marcel turned around- "What do you want Elijah, your family as you've said owns New Orleans so why are you here bothering me."
Elijah- "I couldn't help but notice Aya was just here."
Marcel not realizing she was spotted paused his actions of placing the bottle back when he heard her name.
Marcel tried to play coy- "Who?"
Elijah not bothered by this answered- "Five-foot-seven, built like a goddess, vicious as a viper."
Marcel grinned- "Sounds like quite the lady."
Elijah growing tired of this, zoomed over grabbing Marcel by the neck, pushing him against the nearest wall with his feet dangling and then shoved his other hand in his chest wrapping his hand around his heart.
Marcel let out a grunt of pain, "Go on then, do it!" he yelled.
Elijah confused by his attitude asked- "What's wrong with you? I don't remember you being this suicidal."
Marcel managed to let out a pained laugh- "What's wrong with me? You come into my city and throw me down, you let all that I have built crumble, you helped kill all my friends and now you barge into my home and threaten my life to do what you want yet again, what's wrong with me? What's wrong with you!?"

Elijah seeing the situation take an unexpected turn removed his hands and dropped him.
"You shouldn't trust Aya." he left that parting advice before taking his leave.
Marcel watching him go sneered thinking about the day he'll be able to put him and his whole family down.

Hayley found Jackson at the cabin with some human recruits he was turning to grow their numbers back.
After he finished biting the last one he went back into the cabin to shift back so he could put some clothes on away from prying eyes.
Hayley smiled at him when he came out- "So you learned not to shift in public now, I've must have missed a lot."
He smiled back- "Hayley it's nice to see you." hugging her.
The tension soon turned serious as they began to talk about the future.
Hayley- "I take it you know by now that I have a baby with Niklaus."
Jackson- "Well it does explain a lot, I always wondered why you stuck with him and his family despite only being a hybrid, I've heard you broke your link to him long ago so it was strange you were with him."
Hayley- "Yes a crazy stupid night led to me being pregnant and now I'm stuck with that psycho."
Jackson- "The wolves are slowly searching for more and rebuilding, but I don't know how much more we can take, the alphas want to go to war and kill all vampires on site, the only thing stopping them for the moment is how I explained that Niklaus can slaughter us even as alphas, we were lucky he didn't kill me when you think about it, if he did he would have become an alpha as well."
Hayley shuddered thinking about Niklaus getting stronger and what he would do with that strength.
Thinking about it more she exclaimed- "Oh my god if he became an alpha he would be able to create the army he always wanted, we can't let him find out about it."
Jackson turned gloomy thinking of Niklaus having an army to do his bidding.- "Sooner or later he'll find out, it's surprising he doesn't already know."

Hayley- "Well he's never looked far from his stupid vampire ass to see anything else, they lived in the vampire world, not the wolf world."
Jackson chuckled- "Anything else I still have more work to do since Niklaus killed some of my best workers."
Hayley- "Jackson." she paused not sure if he would be willing.
"Yes?"
Hayley- "Would be willing to run away with me and Hope?"
Jackson didn't know how to answer at first, this was something he could only dream of happening, he's been pining for her ever since she arrived and now she was practically saying yes to being with him by asking him to run away with her.
the long paused made Hayley think the worst as she looked down- "It's ok if you don't want to."
Jackson snapping out of his thoughts practically yelled- "Yes, yes I will run away with you."
Hayley looking back up questioned him- "Are you sure you don't mind leaving the bayou, your home?"
Jackson grinned- "My home is where ever our family is, this just happened to be where I grew up, we can always move the family to a new home."
Hayley grinned right back- "Good, I'd hate to go at it alone."
Jackson frowned- "You were going to go alone if you had to?"
Hayley- "I have to escape Niklaus no matter what, it doesn't matter how much he cares for Hope, he is ultimately a terrible person who may corrupt her, I have to protect Hope from him and his murderous family."

Elijah found Niklaus home alone with Hope which was unusual, to say the least.
Elijah- "Where's Hayley?"
Niklaus sneered as he watched over his daughter sleeping in her crib getting up to leave so as not to disturb her.
He spoke after closing the door- "She's probably with her friends plotting against me as we speak."
Elijah mad a slight frown- "I think you underestimate her, she knows Hope needs her father."
Niklaus spat back- "You overestimate her, do you know what she is now? do you know what Nevan turned her and some of those wolves into?"
Niklaus seeing Elijah waiting for him to explain spoke- "Nevan has the ability to make wolf monsters just like himself, lucky for us they aren't anywhere near as strong, but their strength is not something that can be ignored, you can spot them from their red eyes and do you know who else I spotted with red eyes recently."
Elijah frowned, he came here to talk about Marcel meeting Aya, but with the state, Niklaus is in, if he did that he might be sending Marcel to his death and he couldn't allow Niklaus to kill Marcel, the son he adopted and cared for, it would send him back on the path of no redemption.
Niklaus- "We have to kill them before they grow too big in numbers, we should wipe out the wolf threat in New Orleans once and for all."
Elijah- "Brother you seemed to have forgotten about Dahlia, we could use the wolves as a barrier to help us against her."
"Your right I did forget about her, alright we'll do as you say for now, hopefully, they kill each other."
Elijah was saddened by his brother, he seemed to be getting worse, not better of late. This was all because of Nevan he thought as he broke the door handle in a flash of anger on his way into his room.
Composing himself he wondered where his sisters were and what they were doing and they now had to worry about Mikael.
Too many things, to many damn things, his plan for his brother's redemption was spiraling out of control with all these things happening.

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.
