《Original Wolf - (The Originals)》39 Trapped

Nevan frowned asking- "What did he do?"
Rebekah simply scoffed- "Little Nik is trying to find a way to remove the mind control you have on me."
Nevan didn't look happy hearing that, if Klaus kept trying to bother her and end up hurting their child, well he didn't want to even think about what he would do.
Nevan- "Your brother is unhinged and can't be trusted, I don't want you to forget that when I'm not around."
Rebekah simply nodded, she kept the fact Kol and Marcel were there to herself though, Nik was someone he would hesitate to kill because of hope and family type connections, she didn't know if he would hesitate to kill Kol who is but a stranger now and Marcel the old unrequited love of her past. She didn't hate them enough to seek their deaths.
Hayley came over thanking Rebekah before looking over to the new alpha werewolves who were still struggling with control as they unintentionally nipped at each other in frustration. They were stuck in place though from the order Nevan gave them, this helped prevent another brawl.
Hayley asked with concern- "Did everything go alright, why did they attack us like that?"
Nevan- "Everything is just fine, it just might take them a bit longer to gain full control, they're too close to being human so the change has affected them with the increased beastly instincts which they have to adapt to...I bet if I changed a normal human they would go full berserk and wouldn't be able to stop maybe ever." he muttered the last part to himself, thinking that might be fun to try at some point.
Nevan continued- "Anyways I help speed up the process otherwise it would take way to long, but looking at them now it still looks like they'll need some time, you should surround them with mountain ash so they don't accidentally break free before they learn control."
Hayley went to see that it was taken care of, Nevan turned to Rebekah who simply smiled back.

Nevan- "I know you didn't tell me everything and that's fine, but you shouldn't feel the need to hide things from me...come let us go sit by the water while we wait for them."
Rebekah had her head down as she felt guilty now following from behind as they headed over to sit down and gaze out at the water as the sunset.
Rebekah- "Nevan, It's not that I want to hide things from you, it's just..."
Nevan interrupted- "No need to explain, I said my piece let's just enjoy the sunset, you have nothing to feel guilty about by the way."
Rebekah looking up to his calm handsome face as he gazed out over the water made her blush when she found herself staring too long seeing Nevan take notice who only laughed at her antics.

Finn was not going to wait for whatever reinforcements were promised, he now had enough power to start implementing his plans without fear. First was to turn the city of New Orleans against them, awakening the citizens to the horrors that lived amongst them.
He made his way to the old New Orleans home after catching wind that Niklaus was having a gathering of vampires to discuss something.
______________________________________________
Niklaus sent word out for all the important vampires to meet at his house, Kol included, he wanted to keep an eye on his witch brother as well as find time to turn him back to his side if he could, still dangling the promise of the diamond around as an incentive for his cooperation much to the dissatisfaction of Kol.
Niklaus waited up top leaning on the railing as he watched them pour in when the last showed up with Kol waiting behind him on his left and Marcel on his right.
Niklaus- "It's no secret that the once peaceful city that was once under our kinds command is now facing a rebellion from the witches and the wolves. What is needed now is for us to stand together and bring order to the chaos, we will bring the witches and the wolves to their knees in submission, the witches have been quiet of late but they are brewing something, I need eyes out and around the city reporting what they can so we can be ready, as for the wolves, if any come close to the city...Kill them."

The vampires below gave a cheer, Marcel walked up and whispered to Niklaus- "Are you sure you want to make the wolves an enemy? Remember Hayley is on their side."
Niklaus knew Marcel still didn't know who or what Nevan was, but he knew that Nevan was trouble and now that he went out to the bayou, it was likely he was rallying the wolves under his banner.
Niklaus sneered- "Hayley while important to hope, her pack is not."
Marcel put his hands up not understanding why Klaus was so on edge- "Alright, just wanted to make sure you knew what you were doing."
Niklaus snorted at him before he heard clapping coming from the outside from the opposite entrance rarely used.
Finn walked out wearing a long purple shirt with a black vest and long black pants, clapping his hands at them in mockery.
Finn- "That was nicely said brother but it seems you forget that your half-wolf, a filthy hybrid that should be put down with the rest of the dogs." he laughed in disdain towards his bastard brother.
Niklaus keeping calm despite the rage building inside- "Quite brave of you to show your face here..." unable to control it any longer he sent his minions to check his strength, "...Kill him." he ordered.
Finn more than prepared kept a grin on his face as he looked towards the 25 or so vampires that started to head his way. He lifted his hand and squeezed it as he brought them all to their knees screaming in pain.
Finn sneered at them- "I'll be sure to wipe you all out after I get my hands on the stake." he said finishing with a twist of his hand, snapping all their necks in one go.
Niklaus was not happy seeing how strong he's grown since last they met.
Finn looked up seeing Niklaus hesitate to make a move and Marcel following his lead, looking towards Kol- "I'm disappointed in you Kol, but not surprised to find you once again under Niklaus's thumb like the little selfish coward you are."
Kol wanting to retort kept his mouth shut after seeing and feeling his increased power, Niklaus, on the other hand, was not happy as he watched Finn head to the door ignoring them completely.
Jumping down he charged over, but soon found himself on his knees as Finn more than prepared turned and put his hand up squeezing his brain with magic.
Finn chuckled- "You, Klaus, have always been so predictable, ready and waiting to stab anyone and everyone in the back to get your way." not willing to hear him speak back he snapped his head with a twist of his hand and continued to the other door, he started to do some magic.
Marcel seeing an opportunity decided to attack now, but Finn finished before he arrived and he ended up stopped by a barrier an inch away from grabbing him.
Finn grinning- "Marcel Gerard, you who once ruled this city in our absence now reduced to Nik's lackey once again, your a strange one I'll give you that much, I know what you want, but you have fallen into the same family curse haven't you...well enjoy your new prison for the time being." he cryptically said.
Marcel yelling back as he left- "You won't win!"
Finn thought about putting Niklaus in the same power-draining circle as he now had his parents, but his hate for him far outweighed his reasoning. There was no way he was going to have anything coming from Niklaus go into himself, the thought sicked him.

Life of a Core
After a disembodied voice had told him he was what amounted to an exceptionally talented rock, it had been hard to not let it go to his non-existent head. Until, random chance had decided to give him a square kick in the minerals. Which had in turn forced him to fend for himself in an unknown land, all while he attempted to make sense of his place in the world. Truthfully though, all he had really wanted to do from the start had been to bury himself a hundred feet below the ground and be left to his own devices. Yet, for one reason or another, nobody ever seemed willing to leave the dungeon-building core alone long enough to actually make one. Each chapter will average around two to three thousand words, the release schedule is still a WIP but you should expect the first six chapters to be released over the next six days. This is planned out as a dungeon building fiction, but don't expect it right off the bat! The story is a depiction of the everyday adventures (alongside an overarching plot) of what I imagine a dungeon core would experience when thrust into a random environment where everything and everyone tried to covet or eat him. I also really enjoy reading the comments and reviews people leave and would love to get some reader involvement with the story itself, likely through polls at the end of each chapter. I hope you enjoy my story! (If you feel like some of the characters seem familiar, you may have read some older work I wrote a while back under a different account. If you happen to be one of my old readers and recognize the similarities, I'm happy to have you back!)
