《Original Wolf - (The Originals)》8 Fight

Nevan was brought to his belly under an extreme pulling force, 'Seems he's upgraded the circle' he thought as he tried to get back up. The pull force along with the magic drain was making it difficult.
The jaguar didn't forget to mock him- "Look at what we have here, the big bad wolf, HaHaHa, seems you've grown complacent over the many long years."
Nevan certainty felt like crap hearing that, after criticizing Talia for something similar not that long ago. 'Magic exists, I wonder if karma does too?' he mused to himself not the least bit worried as he watched the jaguar grow bigger from his drained magic.
Jaguar- "I should introduce myself, I am Sumeet and I was there the day you slaughtered us all and today is the day were I avenge us."
Nevan rolled his eyes at that, 'No shit you were there the day I slaughtered you all, what an idiot.'
Sumeet feeling the power started to form his werejaguar form just like Nevans Werewolf form. He started to stand up on his hind legs, front paws changing to clawed hands, as he finished the transformation he let out a mighty a roar.
Sumeet looked at his new claws and form, then over to the trapped wolf- "HaHaHa, look at me now, your better! Tell me something wolf are you jealous? after all these years and yet here I come along and in one day achieve something you haven't in your entire life."
Nevan hearing this was truly surprised, 'I don't know what the heck is going on anymore, what happened to him? where is the smart clever elusive jaguar that just trapped me? why is he spouting all this crap.'
"Sumeet is it? mind if I call you Sumy, well Sumy...." Nevan started to talking as he slowly shifted into his werewolf form breaking the runic circle, Sumeet seeing this watched cautiously, thinking he still had the advantage considering he's drained quite a bit of his magic at this point. "....I'm not sure what exactly happened to your brain, maybe you got high off of my magic or something, but I think I should correct you."
As Nevan size grew he continued talking- "For one, of course, you were there when I slaughtered everyone, you are after all apart of everyone." Stressing the last word, his size still growing as it neared his full height, "And two, using my magic essence to achieve something, doesn't that mean I from where the magic came from already stepped into that realm, before you?"

Now fully transformed with glowing orange eyes he roared back at Sumeet, "RAWR!"
Sumeet once again seeing he was slightly smaller than the wolf, was completely demoralizing, but he quickly got over it as he remembered the one advantage his kind has always had over the wolves and that's their ability to use magic. 'Plus he should be a lot weaker now that I drained him, he's bluffing is all.'
While Sumeet wasn't far off the mark, he didn't realize this was exactly what Nevan wanted, after all, it's rare to find someone able to go toe to toe, so Nevan let the runic circle take a bit more to stretch his muscles. His warrior blood was stirred when he saw the cat get bigger, he wanted a fight, a good fight.
Nevan charged at Sumeet, ready to trade blows as he swung his right claw at the cat's head. Sumeet easily ducked under sending a kick to Nevans gut, shooting him a few feet away as Sumeet activated his green glowing eyes to enhance his speed in pursuit, catching Nevan off guard with another kick to the side before he even landed.
Sumeet let out a challenging roar towards Nevan as he landed on his side.
Nevan grunted, 'Guess I am rusty, what absolute crap.'
His eyes glowing he rushed back dodging the cat claws coming towards his face and then sent an uppercut strike to the chin, now sending the cat falling away to its back, but Sumeet easily landed back on his feet, ticking Nevan off as he rushed over to rectify it.
Sumeet was prepared though as his eyes glowed green swiping sideways and as expected Nevan blocked but the ground spikes that shot up out of the floor managed to get through and pierce him in the side, where he grunted as he stepped back to readjust.
Nevan was caught completely off guard, he never fought anyone who used magic in such a way before. 'Frikin magical bastard, I don't remember them fighting this way in the past, is it due to him being upgraded by my magic that is allowing him more tricks?' he thought as he rubbed his left side where the wound was now closed.
Sumeet- "Give up wolf, the only reason you won in the past was your numbers and because we were already half-dead from the cold."

This hit Nevan right where it hurt, however calling into question his warrior skills was unacceptable, his alpha instincts would not allow it to go unpunished. Through the years Nevan was not lazy with his practicing, he kept up with his training improving his shifting ability so it could be instantaneous. He also fought in many different wars over the many years, accumulating vast experience in all manners of combat and weapons.
With his anger rising, his eyes glowed more than they ever have before as he started to slowly walk towards Sumeet, playtime was over.
Sumeet sensing something wrong was already preparing more magic to counter whatever he had planned.
Nevan only a few feet away disappeared in a flash, reappearing right in front of Sumeet punching fast and hard before he had time to react as Sumeet was sent flying back skidding on his back. Nevan ran over, but Sumeet was already to his feet, green eyes out, he waved his hand as rock spikes started to come out of the ground in a wave towards Nevan. His view obstructed, he lost track of the cat as he jump dodged to the side.
Sumeet was waiting for him, predicting where he would dodge, Sumeet's hands wrapped up in magical power, sent out a straight right strike. Nevan still in the air from dodging caught the punch and used it as leverage to kick the cat in the face, breaking one of his longer fangs off. As Sumeet landed, Nevan swiftly closed the gap sending out a claw strike, Sumeet unprepared after being kicked in the face had the left side of his face torn open. Howling in pain he instinctively bent down and sent earth spikes out from all around.
Nevan jumping back still manage to get nicked by one on the same side as last time. Angered he grabbed the spike breaking it off and then sent it hurling through the gaps towards Sumeet who was still in the middle of his earth spikes bent over hiding, trying to recover.
The spike skewered Sumeet's left arm to his side, making him howl even more in pain as he was still not completely healed on his face, long deep streaks still existed but were visibly healing to a degree. Sumeet realizing he was at a disadvantage quickly tore out the spike and used his blood to start drawing magic circles.
Nevan seeing this looked around before spotting the pyramid, Not willing to jump over the earth spikes he ran up and tore out the bottom stone which had to weigh at least a couple tons. He aimed at Sumeet as he threw it with a mighty roar. Sumeet, however, was concentrating on his drawing, believing that he had time, he never expected or noticed the giant stone hurling through the air at him.
What would have otherwise been an easy dodge was now hitting him in the face as he was hurled along with it, being smashed in between, against the wall with a loud. 'Bang'
The rock as well as the surrounding wall all broke apart and collapsed upon impact.
Nevan looking at what happened frowned, 'Didn't think that one through, although satisfying as it was, I'll have to dig him out now.'
Walking up to the wreckage he started to dig like a dog, luckily no was around to see this otherwise he'll never live it down. It wasn't long before he found the smashed up and mangled form of Sumeet which was actually in the process of healing.
Nevan looking down at him and thought, 'well that was a hard-earned meal.' before devouring him and regaining his lost magic, as well as a little something extra.
He was able to gain a tiny bit extra magic from the other two since they had not just his but the sacrificed people magic as well, but this was different. Sumeet took a huge chunk of his power, and that power lingered in him for quite a while, allowing Sumeet to perform better than ever. When Nevan took it back, it came back upgraded from the experience.
Nevan's eyes glowed green for a second before regaining their original orange color.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
