Mo Bei and Fang Yuan were advancing very fast due to their recent surge in power.

While Mo Bei had Rank 2 Lunar Stream Gu at his disposal, Fang Yuan had reached Rank 1 upper stage and was using peak stage essence with the help of Liquor Worm lent by Mo Bei.

With Fang Yuan's strategies as well as two Rank 1 peak stage gu masters tackling the situation while backing each other, they did not face many problems.

Fang Yuan's expression didn't change, most of his attention was on that cave at the highest layer of the stone pillar.

When encountering a common jade eye stone monkey, there was no need to be nervous as long as you weren't surrounded by them. The main problem was the stone monkey king.

Mo Bei and Fang Yuan were eagerly waiting for Monkey King to show up. Mo Bei knew that the Monkey King was invisible but he was not afraid. He had already activated Rank 2 Lunar Stream Gu to be used as a shield. He also knew that Spring Autumn Cicada(or Heaven's Will) would give a warning to Fang Yuan.

Meanwhile, Fang Yuan was baffled, 'Is there no monkey king in this monkey group? If there was a monkey king, then it would no doubt be the first to come out if someone infringed on its territory. Hold it, maybe it has already come out!'

Mo Bei was already ready and made a water shield covering him and Fang Yuan.

In the next instant, the stone monkey king, who was three times bigger than a normal stone monkey, suddenly appeared on the left side of Fang Yuan and fiercely struck out with its sharp claws at Fang Yuan's left shoulder.

It's claws passed through the water shield but slowed down a lot, enough for Fang Yuan to completely dodge it.

It had a look of despair of it's face unable to come to terms to his untimely end. Few minutes later, The stone monkey king laid on the ground; it had turned into a statue and was already dead.

At this moment, a Gu worm slowly floated from the corpse of the stone monkey king, trying to escape.

Fang Yuan went forward and easily grabbed the Gu worm.

This Gu looked ordinary like a grey rock, with an uneven surface that was not even squarish nor spherical.

It seemed like an inanimate object, a rock. But in fact, it was the real deal, a living being with its own consciousness and thought. It was the Rank 2 Stealth Rock Gu.

Fang Yuan instantly refined the Rank 2 Stealth Rock gu using Spring Autumn Cicada.

"We finally defeated the Monkey King. Our journey should be smooth now. We have also got a new Rank 2 Gu.", Mo Bei called out from behind. His attention was on the rock held by Fang Yuan.

"Yes, this gu will be really helpful for our future exploration. It can provide sufficient stealth.", Fang Yuan replied.

"Since you picked it up, you can have it. I think there was a gu with similar use in my family's warehouse so I won't require it."

Fang Yuan nodded and kept the Stealth Rock gu in his aperture. He was glad that Mo Bei didn't ask for it since Mo Bei's contribution was higher than his and he really wanted this gu.

The stone monkeys watched helplessly at the side, and on seeing Fang Yuan keep the Stealth Rock Gu into his body, they frantically jumped about, screaming incoherently.

Fang Yuan and Mo Bei chased away these monkeys and started getting to the bottom of Stone Pillar.

As they got close, they found a cave below the rock pillar. The cave was not big, and some rock stairs extended downwards into the darkness.

Fang Yuan took a stick and started fire to illuminate the cave and started walking. Mo Bei followed behind him ready to activate Lunar Stream Gu at a moment's notice.

It was completely dark underground and even the fire stick could only illuminate five steps ahead. Step by step, they walked on for a long while before reaching the end of the stairs.

A crude artificial stone door was in front of them.

"Golden Centipede's cave is precarious, Earth Communication is the way to avoid the disaster." Fang Yuan lifted his fire stick which illuminated some characters carved on the stone door.

There was wet soil below them as Mo Bei had expected and they found the Earth Treasury flower storing the Rank 2 Earth Communication Grass gu.

Once again, Mo Bei decided to give it to Fang Yuan asking for primeval stones in exchange. Since Fang Yuan didn't have huge reserves of primeval stones at the moment, it was decided that he would pay Mo Bei later.

The Earth Communication Ear Grass's usage was to scout. It could scout up to three hundred paces.

Both Fang Yuan and Mo Bei agreed that the dangers ahead would require Fang Yuan to use Earth Communication Grass first. They turned around and left.
