Mo Bei woke up early in the morning. Immediately he shoved away the thin silk blanket and got up neatly. He opened the window and found that the spring rain had stopped. The mix of fragrance of the earth, trees and wild flowers greeted him.

He started thinking about the Gu World from what he had read in the novel.

"A river of time exists in this world. It supports the world's time flow and circulation."

"Humans are the greatest among thousands of creatures, Gu are the essence of heaven and earth."

"Gu comes in thousands of shapes and sizes of strange and mysterious variety – there are too many to count. Some Gu after being used once or even twice or thrice will completely dissipate. And some Gu can be reused again and again as long as it is not used over its limits."

He had to increase the level of his foundation as fast as possible. If he were slow, then figures like Fang Yuan would easily make use of him and after taking advantage of him, discard him. This would only lead to his death. He had to become strong enough to survive this cruel world.

He suddenly remembered a quote from the novel [ "The strong eat the weak, survival of the fittest; these have always been the rules of this world. Everyone has self-ambitions, always struggling to grasp the opportunities. Among all the war and killing what is there not to be understood?" ]

"I wonder if the Fang Yuan right now is the one reborn using Spring autumn cicada after 500 years of his life or is it his 1st life?"

"My belief is that he has reborn after 500 years since there is no alternate timeline in the Gu World and only 1 timeline exist at a time."

"Then where was I in the previous timeline? Is this Heaven's will plot to bring Fang Yuan under control by using me, an otherworldly demon and I only exist in this timeline?"

"If I can reach the cultivation of a Rank 3 Gu Master, I'd have the means to protect myself and leave the mountain along with Fang Yuan but that is an impractical thought. Fang Yuan is supposed to leave the Gu Yue clan with Bai Ning Bing. The future arcs only happen due to specific circumstances of their actions. I should not interfere much with the parts of the novel with which Fang Yuan interacts, otherwise it would lead to many butterfly effects and my knowledge of the future events in the novel will be rendered useless."

"Let's analyse the current situation. My cultivation grade will probably be of B Rank if what was mentioned in the novel remains the same and is not changed due to my arrival. I, being the sole male successor of Mo Family, have lots of family resources too. Hundreds or even thousands of times what Fang Yuan had when he was in Gu Yue Clan in the novel."

"As far as I can understand, the language here is also similar to what was used on earth and I can easily understand everyone so that won't be a barrier."

"If I can get a feel of this world better, it will improve my survivability chances a lot."

Saying so to himself, he went out of the Mo Family manor heading towards the grounds of Awakening Ceremony.

On the way he bumped into many youths of similar age, all in groups of twos and threes, quite clearly heading to the same destination. He even recognized, one of them being Chi Chen.

"Look guys, those are the Fang brothers." His ears picked up the small cautious talk from one of the group. "The one walking in front is Fang Yuan, he's the Fang Yuan who created the poems," some of them emphasized.

Mo Bei's body instantly went numb at the mention of Fang Yuan. He was really going to meet Fang Yuan in person.

He was both very excited and fearful. If someday you are given a choice of meeting a person of your dreams - your role model, whom you could never even dream to meet, how would you feel? This was exact feeling Mo Bei had at the moment.

"Would he find something suspicious with me if I turn my face towards him? I will be unable to hide my excitement and fear from Fang Yuan if he's the 500 old reborn demon. What should I do?
