《MHA: The Wolf of the End》Chapter 8

[Mina]
“ 43 points down… Man this is difficult!” I scream from on top of a half melted 2 pointer. This test was way harder than what was told… but if what Felir said was true… then it all makes sense.
“Huh…” I huff out my fatigue and get up and slap my cheeks. No time for complaining, time for action!
I start sprinting toward another street, hoping for easy points. But before I could turn the corner, a voice rumbled through the twisted city scape. A voice that no one taking this exam will ever forget…
Felir’s Moms voice range out. And what she stated sent a shiver down my spine…
“GET READY YOU RUNTS!! You only have 6 minutes remaining!…”
She paused for only a second before shouting,“AND THE REAL TEST STARTS NOW!!”
What did she mean by real test?! Was the whole time up to this point a warm up!?
What is up with this FAMILY!?
Rumbling shook me from my thoughts. A stomping sound that quaked from the direction I was heading for stopped me in my tracks. I slowly peek around the corner to see something that is straight out of a Kaiju movie…
A massive snake with little wings and two massive clawed stumps heaves its way towards me. Massive horns sprouted from its metallic head as purple smog leaked from every crevice it had. Glowing orange eyes looked around for its next meal... If I didn’t know that this was a robot, I would have thought it was an actual Dragon. The thing is taller than the buildings it slithers past!!
Is this the REAL TEST!?
I turn to run the other way, hoping that I never cross this monster’s path again…
As my foot kicks a small pebble of rubble…
The echo rings out as all else falls silent. I slowly turn, praying to all the gods I know that the Dragon did not hear my blunder…
When I finally turn around, I see two orbs of flame staring back at me. My hopes dashed.
I run, no way I was staying still! My acid assisting me as I skate faster than I have ever skated in my life!

‘ROOOAAAR!!’ The beast roars out!
I fall, the ground quaking from just the utter volume the creature produced. I tumble to a stop as the Robot Dragon is already on me, launching itself meters into the air as its little wings propel its gargantuan body at me. All hope of fleeing left me as I stand, acid pooling in my hands. They shake with fear and exhaustion..
How was this an exam…
I ready my acid as its clawed limb comes crashing towards me.. Even if I dodge, I doubt it will be far enough to escape. My only hope is that my acid will be able to eat a hole in its hand before it can crush me.
As the bus sized claw is about to land, I ready to shoot my shot..
“Here goes nothing!!” I yell, about to let my acid fly..
A silver blur leaps in front of me, taking the full brunt of the claw swipe. A explosion of ruble and dust covers all. I cover my face so I don’t get any of this crap in my eyes or lungs.
After calming down, I finally open my eyes and look back towards the collision..
Only to see the most shocking thing today..
Standing in front of me, holding the monsters hand up with both his own, was Felir! He held the beast in place, though he was shaking from the weight of the thing, he held on none the less!
He turned to look down at me with a smirk on his face, eyes glowing like little suns as he asks…
“So Mina, if you’re not too busy sitting on your ass, do you wanna help me out a bit? This Bastard is as heavy as a mountain and I can’t hold one of those up for too long..”
His remark stirs me from my wonder, I smirk back at him as I get back on my feet.
“Ah come on Felir! A mountain is only a little weight! Heck, I could hold one up with just my pinky!” I retort.

“Well if you can so easily, you wanna switch?”
“And mess up your Heroic save! NO WAY!”
Silence falls as we both stare at one another…
“HAHAHA!!”
We both laugh at our stupidity, quickly stopping because the robot started to push down on Felir.
He struggled to hold the thing as he strained through his teeth, “If you have a plan to escape this Nidhogg ripoff, I’m all ears!”
My brain went into overdrive as I tried to come up with a plan.. Come on Mina! Think!..
I look over to its other claw as an idea formed. I look back at my canine companion and ask..
“If it was not pushing down, could you push this hulk up?”
Felir thought only for a second before responding, “Yes!”
“That’s all I needed to know!” I sprint over to the other limb as the robot tries to crush Felir.
I make it to the other foot as I start to coat the claw in my slippery acid. I pour gallons of the stuff on it, the street drowning. My fatigue growing worse as I push myself to my limits.
Right when I was about to run out and my thoughts turned to the worst, the serpent started to tilt.
Its claw started sliding across the street as I heard Felir roar. The robots eyes widened as it fell on its side collapsing a block in its wake.
Felir wasted no time as he launched himself towards our fallen foe. He gripped his right arm with his left as a crazy amount of red energy unleashed from it, taking the shape of a giant wolf’s paw. It grew and grew until it was at least 6 meters long.
As he neared the beasts head, he lifted his new weapon above his and yelled out…
“CLAW OF THE END WOLF!!” Slashing vertically on its neck.
The energy cut through the black and purple metal scales like a hot knife through butter, the screaming of super heated metal was all you could hear.
The Massive robot lost all life as its eyes dimmed and the purple smog ceased. Black oil leaked from its wound as we both stared at the dead bot…
“WE DID IT!” I yell as I run over to a exhausted Felir, heavily panting but fine none the less. I run up and hug him in excitement, to then immediately distance myself out of embracement.
I shyly say, “S-sorry about that Felir, I was just a little…”
I stop as I feel a heavy hand pat the top of my head, I look up in shock to see Felir smiling back saying..
“We did it Mina! That’s something to celebrate!”
I didn’t know what to say, so I just smiled back. We did something I bet no other exam taker has done!
I’m glade I met Felir…
“By the way…” I hear him ask. I look back up and wait for him to continue.
“How many points did you get? I hope my mothers… “TEST” didn’t affect your score.”
He asks with worry in his eyes, I just smiled.
“I scored a whopping 43 points!! What about you Felir?” I ask, genuinely curious about our resident wolf man’s performance.
He visibly relaxed as he smirked…
“I scored 60!”
My jaw hit the floor..
WHAT!!
“LIES, there’s no way you made that much! The bots were way tougher than what was stated!” I yell out of amazement.
60 points! How can anyone make that many!?
His smirk deepens at my amazement as he turns to walk back, the test bell already rang a minute after we defeated the behemoth of a serpent. He turns his head and says only one thing…
“I’m made of tougher stuff!” turning his head back.
“Now come, lets be on our way!”
I shake my head out of exhaustion and exasperation. I start to run, catching up to him and think to myself..
This is going to be an interesting school year!

But she'll soon find that a brewing war between galaxies won't let her rest easy. He awoke to find himself one thousand years in the future, but the first thing on his mind wasn't the new technology around him. It was the woman he'd seen die in the battlefield just days before. Her, the prince of the interstellar and he, their genius. What will happen when they cross paths? Updates: Expect updates at least once a week. A/N: The first three chapters are set in an ancient setting and then after that it's interstellar, so some patience is required. Does this novel have comedy? Yes. But that's not the main part. What went into the cauldron of whatever this novel is was angst, age progression, and Technoids. I like to kill off my characters, but I also don't. So come check this out if you want redemption arcs, an MC who travels through death, and cool fighting robots controlled by people. We have friendship, romance, and random drama, so buckle up and have fun.
