《MHA: The Wolf of the End》Chapter 4

[3rd person]
It’s a nice and warm day here in the city of Musutafu Japan. Here you see millions of people going about their daily lives, going on dates, hanging out with friends, or just having family outings.
There on a certain street in a certain part of Musutafu. We see a tall teen around 7ft dressed in a light blue button-up and cargo pants walking next to a teen girl around 5’8” with a long silky black dress shirt with dark blue jeans on with black sneakers. Both seem to be lost in conversation, not aware of the impending crisis that will soon befall them…
[Felir]
“Man! That bakery shop has way too much sugar in their baked goods! My tongue hurts!” I exclaim to Momo in a exaggerated way, hand trying to scrape the sweet flavor off my tongue.
“HAHA well Felir-kun, maybe next time you will actually pick a place for lunch when I give you the chance!” She laughs at my none existent pain, knowing that I like to be a little dramatic when it’s just the two of us.
“Well… Maybe I’ll hold you to that then!”
We both laugh at our antics as we continue to walk down the busy street. None the wiser of what was about to happen.
My instincts flared to life as I sense something Chaotic was around this area. I look at Momo as she was oblivious of the fact that something was happening. I grab her hand and speed towards the direction of the source of Chaos.
“Felir-kun! What are you…”
“There is something bad happening this way! Please just follow me and be on guard.” I warn her as we weave through the pedestrians, making our way to the place.
Then all of the sudden, an explosion the size of a building erupts out between two buildings just in front of us. Screams of surprise and terror filled the area as people ran from the fire that was slowly engulfing the two buildings.
“What just..” Momo tried to say before being cut off by what was right in front of us.
A massive tar -like creature enveloped a young boy, around our age if I had to guess, with spiked blonde hair and red eyes filled with anger and fear. He struggled to escape the monster but was slowly losing. Eyes and a Giant mouth finally formed on the creature as it started to threaten the Hero’s that were there, saying he would snap the boys neck if any of them came close.

The boy, to his credit, was still fighting to escape it while throwing petty insults at the beast.
But it seemed the Hero’s here were a bad matchup for this Villain. No one was able to touch him physically. This Jotun woman the size of Skadi herself was to big too fit into the narrow passage. Another was made of wood so the fire and explosions were not favourable for him, while the only one that could probably do something to the sludge monster was busy trying to put out the raging fires from the kids out of control quirk.
Everyone was saying they met their match as others say that this was a villain All Might was chasing earlier this morning. But if that was the case, there is no way he would have let this monster go…
Did… Did he lose?…
No, that’s unlikely… Maybe this Villain is sneakier than I gave it credit for. But that’s beside the point. Without a hero able to stop this Villains rampage, this kid might die.
I started to grit my teeth, Chaos energy bubbling across my body as I started to think of a way to help without getting in the way, only to be stopped by a kid with messy green hair rushing to the Villain.
Everyone yelled as he ran towards him, fear was masking his face but I could sense something, a power not of a quirk… but of the soul.
He grabbed his backpack and threw it at the Beasts face, and like Thor’s hammer, it met its mark.
The Villains eye was stabbed by the loose books that fell from the bag. This momentary lapse gave the kid trapped enough freedom to free his head giving him air to breathe.
The green boy keeps trying to scrape the gunk off of the other kid. Like a frantic animal trying to escape death, he clawed at it with all he had… But it wasn’t enough.
Then with my super hearing, I picked up what the boy said…
“Ka-chan… I couldn’t just stand there and watch you die!”
My body tensed as my nerves went a blaze! What was I doing just standing here watching! If a young man like him has the courage to run out there no matter the cost…

Then what THE HELL AM I DOING!!
I start to run towards the boys, with chaos energy ramping up as I burst forward. Clad in Chaos energy, my fist raised to smit this evil.
The monster raised its tentacle to smash the kid in green… When a explosion of dust fills the area..
“I really am pathetic…”
There standing over the kid was the Hero the whole world knew… The number one Hero…
All Might!!
“I told you the traits that made a great champion..” He exclaimed.
“But I see now I wasn’t living up to my own IDEALS!” He yells ripping his arm free from the goop tentacle.
He grabs the trapped boy’s arms as he rears back a fist while saying, “Pros are always risking their lives!! THATS A TRUE TEST OF A HERO!!”
“DAMN YOU ALL MIGHT!!” The Villain roars out as he throws all he has into a desperate attack.
“DETROIT!!” All Might yells out as his fist hums with energy, like I have never felt in this life, go raging forth as he yells out…
“SMASH!!!”
A hurricane of wind gushes forward, evaporating the Villain and putting out all the fires. Everyone, including me, was blasted back by the mighty gale. After a few moments all went still. We were all in shock at seeing the height of power in this world. No one moved, talked, or even blinked…
Then it started to rain.
“Its raining?” One man said. “Did the wind just now…” one woman was trying to explain when another man said with awe, “Look up at the clouds!”
I turn my head up to see it, A spiral of rain clouds that was created from one punch… I never thought that in this life I would see a being with the power to change the weather so easily…
I looked at the back of the Mightiest Hero and thought..
Maybe he was a child of the gods after all.
[After a hour of reporting and everything else the Police wanted]
Momo and I were sitting together on the sidewalk in silence and contemplation was happening in both our minds and hearts.
I look back on how I acted during the crisis and thought why I didn’t react sooner, what did that boy have that I did not?!… was it drive?.. was it tenacity?…or.. was it something more?
Why did I just sit by and watch as the child was slowly dying of suffocation?
I look at Momo as she too looked like she was asking herself a similar question. I reach my left hand out and pat her on the head.
She looks up at me with a sad smile and says, “ I know in my head that we could not have done anything to help out since it would have been illegal to act as Hero’s without a license…but..”
She looked down with melancholy overtaking her smile.
“Why do I feel like I failed to be a Hero?”
She looks back up at me, hope filled eyes expecting a answer that will satisfy her hurt soul..
“Maybe why we feel like we failed is because we did.” I say with a sad tinge.
“What All Might said about the test of a real hero was putting their life on the line.. and the boy with that messy green hair ran in, his body seeming possessed to save the other no matter what the cost…”
I look back at Momo and stare into her onyx eyes and say, “But that doesn’t always mean we will fail! It just means we will have to be better!”
Her smile returns, she regains her old spunk grabs my hand and stands up.
We start to walk back home, tired from all the adventuring we had done today. But something has changed in both of us that day…
And for better or worse, it will affect our futures in some unforeseen ways.
