《MHA: The Wolf of the End》Chapter 3

Life’s been very hard since that day.
Quirks kinda act like the magic I grew to know from my last life, but there is something that makes them a whole lot more of a hassle than magic…
They very much depend on the physical body.
For instance, I’m trying and failing, miserably I might add, to keep my transformation into my wolf form for more than 5 minutes.
5 MINUTES!! What in Nidhogg’s ugly mug is this Yak shit!! I used to go years using my magic and strength to level Gods and Giants during Ragnarok! And not ONCE did I ever feel winded or tired, but this new feeble body can’t even stand 5 MINUTES just staying still while transforming…
Why is this so hard?.. Why is my stamina failing me?…
“Felir..” my Mother softly caresses my face, making me look up at her with a face full of care and understanding.
“You just Manifested your quirk not two days ago my sweet Moon shadow. It will take time to get stronger…” Smile deepening as she finally states, “Rome wasn’t built in a day!”she chirps, slowly bringing me into a light embrace before getting up and starting to head for the house.
“Now come Felir, Its time you take a bath and get ready for dinner!”
I get up and start to shake the sod off my cloths. I do a quick look around to see if I forgot anything then trail behind Mother…
[A bath and dinner later]
Man… I still can’t get over how weak I have become.
How am I supposed to achieve the goal of making my mother happy if I can’t even keep my quirk going for more than 5 minutes, and even then I’m not a fraction as strong as some of the Villains and Heroes I have seen on the seeing box my parents call a “T.V.” Or something like that.
I saw the other day a moving painting of a man in red, white, and blue with golden hair like the Goddess Sif, that fool Thor’s wife, punch a giant, that took the form of a rodent, which got easily bested with just one punch from the Hero. He almost looks like a pup born from Sif and Thor.
After seeing that I could not wait anymore and ran to the back yard to test my new found quirk! I was excited and full of expectations since the old man from that healing house sounded thrilled about my power. So it must be awesome I thought.
When I activated it, it came flowing out like a storm. My little body could not handle the strain as chaos enveloped me. I fell to the ground, pain wracked my brain as my bones and skin shattered, reforming and growing bigger and wider by the second. My skull lengthened considerably as my body covered itself in dark fur. After what felt like hours of torment, it stopped…
A surge of strength and sharpening of my senses were all that was left over.
I felt Powerful!

But as suddenly as it came… It left…
I shrunk back to normal in what felt like a second, I looked at my self wondering what happened when my Mother and Father ran out of the house looking frantic until their eyes landed on me. Worry was all that consumed their faces as my Mother ran diving into a hug entrapping me as my Father ran up asking, “What happened Felir?! Why are your clothes ripped apart!?”
I, confused, looked down to see indeed my shirt and pants were shredded apart leaving only a little to cover the more sensitive bits.
“Well… I was trying to use my quirk… and it seems to have destroyed my clothes…” I look down trying to give them the best puppy eyes I can.
“I’m sorry.”
There worry melted away as they tried but failed to look stern.
“Well just be more careful next time son. You really had your Mother and I worried about you when we heard you scream like that.” Father looked at my clothes once more. “We may need to go and get some custom made clothes for you to practice in. It looks like you grow pretty big when you transform.”
“Yosh!” My Mother happily yelled “Time for a shopping spree!!”
She grabs my hand and starts to run before my Father can change his mind. All I can hear him say as we leave is “What have I done…”
That’s how the rest of that day went. I was so exhausted after all the Hel my mother put me and Father through I couldn’t even stand and had to be carried to my bed. Now I know what Fathers words meant… Never tell Mother about any form of shopping!
Anyways, I look up at my Father washing dirty dishes and ask, “Father?…”
“Yes Son, what is it?” He turns to look at me with those green eyes greener than the realm of the Alf’s, Alfheim.
“Can you train me? I want to be a hero greater than any that ever lived!” I pose with my fist out, copying some kids I saw on the T.V. the other day. He looked to be thinking it over but for the last push to entrap him, I deploy my ultimate weapon that even the Gods on Asgard couldn’t resist!
I tilt my snout down, ears folded, eyes expand to ungodly size as they tear up just a bit. I tuck my tail between my legs and shake just enough. I say in my most sad childish voice…
“PLEASE!!!”
The power is too great for the Alpha to handle as he crumbles under the might of my attack!
“Well… If it’s just a little training it won’t hurt…” Success!! Mission accomplished!
“Thanks Father! You wont regret this!” I happily chortle as I turn to run to my room to get on the new clothes my mother bought me.
Before I could go though, my Mother said “Felir! Its almost time for bed, so training will have to wait till tomorrow okay!” Her happy tone slapped me in the face making me stumble.

“BUT Mother!…” I was going to retort but was stoped by a chill running down my spin. The feeling of Death I was already accustomed to froze the words in my throat. I turn back slowly to see my Mother’s smile, but it wasn’t the usual warm one filled with all the love in the Nine Realms, but a cold one that felt like my sister from my last life.
“Now Felir… What was it you were about to say?” She asks, sounding as cold as the winters of Jotunheim. I knew if I said the wrong words I would be in for a Realm of hurt. So I gathered what courage this old wolf had left and said the only thing I could think of…
“I w-was just going t-t-to say that I will get re-ready for bed and h-h-ow lovely and beautiful you are M-M-other!!” I scream out as I pray to my long dead ancestors for their protection.
“Oh! How sweet of you Felir!” My mother’s demeanor shifts back into the kind one I knew, the Draugr that possessed her seeming to have vanished. I never thought I would say this but I think I met someone as fierce as Hel herself.
“Oh, don’t forget to brush your teeth and wash your hair before bed Felir!” She states before going back to cleaning the table off.
Note to self… Never get on my Mothers bad side… Ever!
I sigh as I left, but again was stopped by my Fathers soft and gentle voice.
“Get some good rest Son, because you’ll be waking up early tomorrow for training.”
My ears perked up and my tail started to wag, “Yes Father!” I practically yelled out as I run to get ready for sleep. Parents giggling as I do so.
Tomorrow is the first step of many I’ll have to reaching my goal, I can not wait to see where this new life will take me!
[Ten years later..]
Me and my family have moved to my Mothers Ancestral land. I’ll be starting Highschool here, at the same one my mother went to apparently, as well. They say the strongest Hero, All-might, was a graduate of this academy too. So if I want to be a Great hero, one that surpasses all others, this is the school my Mother said would get me there…
Smelling the air as we get off the metal dragon, or as my Father says “Airplane”, I can smell different spices and scents that are foreign yet strangely comforting at the same time. It almost reminds me of…
“Felir-Kun!! Welcome to Japan!” I hear a familiar voice as I turn to get tackled. Luckily my training for the past ten years, yes I finally found out what a “year” was, came in handy. I was able to stay standing as I hug the projectile close, smiling as I know who it is.
“I am happy to see you to Momo.” I look down to see a cute childhood friend in my arms smiling up at me.
“It took you long enough Felir-kun! I’ve been waiting months for when you would finally show up!” She pouts at me, but I know she was just teasing.
“Well, getting all the paperwork and shots took way longer than I thought, but now I’m here so everything turned out fine in the end right!” I say as I scratch the back of my head and smile.
“Well… If you promise me you’ll go on an adventure with me once you settle in..” An “Adventure” is what I use to call our play times together when we were kids.
“Then I will forgive you!” She smiles at me ounce more, eyes filled with vigor and life.
“Well, if it’s the only way…” I say as I feign ignorance. I then look back with a massive grin plastered on my face and mischief twinkling in my eyes. I pick her up and spin around and around until I throw her up into the air, all the while she scream-laughs as she flys up. I then catch her as she falls into my arms, hugging her as we laugh, everyone in the airport stares at us. Some smile with knowing while others are filled with envy. I look back at her as we calm down and say, “Then I would love to go on a adventure with you Momo!”
“AHEM!” We hear from behind us, cutting our long time reunion short. I put Momo down and we both look at my parents who were standing there smiling at our antics.
“Well we are also happy that you came here to pick us up Momo-chan!” My mother says as she comes over to hug Momo. She whispers something to her that makes Momo’s face turn all red, but for some strange reason I couldn't hear what she told her. My Mother is a mystery like that, things that shouldn’t be are with her.
My dad just walked over and patted Momo on the head saying “You have grown so much Momo, I still remember when you were barely the size of my forearm, now look at you! You are up to my mid section now! Amazing!” His Wolfish smile brings a happy smile to Momo as she looks down and twiddles her fingers.
“Th-thanks for the complement Uncle Ulf, I’ve been training my hardest to be able to get into UA like my Mom did.”
“I can tell! You look stronger then the last time we met! I’m happy for you!” My Father says, as boisterous as usual.
“Well…” I start, getting their attention. “It’s time we get out of here! I want to explore my new territory with Momo!” I start to head towards the baggage pick-up section with 3 happy people I call family following behind.
Excitement bubbled up from within, My mind already thinking of all the new things I’ll experience here!
“I can’t wait!”
