《Wandering The Multiverse! Saving The God?》Chapter-32 Two Golden Haired Men!

After number divided, there were 100 participants. Next fights decided by drawing lots. There was a number who could fight less than the others, but it seems I depleted all my luck when drawing Glasses of Confucious.
First 100 participant divided to 4 teams with 25 people. Each 25 had one going straight to the group semi-finals. Because as the agent said "Luck is also strength." Obviously not mine. After 4 teams, namely, A, B, C, D, decide their finalist, A team and B Teams would have another fight while C and D Teams also fight. Winner of the two team would fight and decide The Winner.
I was in the group A. The man who went straight to the semi-finals was a skinny man. He was looking weak but he beat his opponent at first fight so he should have some skills.
"Can you believe it. His opponent at first round didn't show up. Now even he got a free pass. How lucky is he?" someone said in the crowd.
"I know right! I hope he lost in semi-finals. Or it only means A-Team is full of thrash." another man exclaimed.
So, he didn't fight at all? He is just an overly lucky weak man.
I was so depressed. I had to fight first, so, I walked to the stage, my opponent admitted defeat before going upstage, so it was at least better than fighting all to the top. I must have scared them in the first fight. After I went down, on another stage Durwin Fane was fighting with a tall man. His opponent was at least 3 meters tall and as wide. The ground was trembling when he walked to Durwin Fane.
Durwin took out Nodachi, similar to his sisters. Hold it above his head and released his aura. Suddenly I felt my head is going be cut off.

Is this Sword Ki? I can feel his swords sharpness, even when it's not pointed to me.
The big man on stage started to sweat. His foot was still standing in the air. He couldn't dare to put it on the ground. Durwin didn't change his stance and looked straight at his opponent. The big man raised his head and admit defeat.
Its look like my opponent from Team B will be Durwin.
It was my turn again. In Team A, 12 fight has finished and now there were 6 more fights. I went to the stage and there was another man standing with his spear.
"I saw your last fight. How can you call yourself warrior, when you fight that dirty. You hold a sword but you kick your opponent. Is this the warrior's honor?" he looked at me disdainfully.
I said nothing. Pulled my sword, this time applied Sword-Man Unite, I learned from Zhang Shi. This was not a sword technique but a sword ki. My aura got sharp and my eyes could cut my opponents. I looked man with the spear. His forehead started to form sweat. His hands started to shake. When I saw Durwin win like this, I wanted to do same.
The man with spear shook all over. He fell on his butt and hardly admit defeat. I went down from the stage without looking at him. Honor you said. Where is your honor now?
The rest was easy. No one dared to face me and I went all the way finals. The lucky guy admitted defeat without fighting in semi-finals against Bow Master. Man shot all his opponent 1 centimeter above their heads, later told one sentence "Second won't miss." All of his opponents admit defeat except one arrogant man, lost his life with the second arrow.

When it was the finale, I went to the stage. Bow Master came but didn't shot. "The same trick wouldn't work on you. Let's have a good fight." he said and shot seven consecutive arrows. All seven aim to seal my escape and lead me to jump. If I jumped, next arrow would pierce through my heart. I sidestep to the left and raised my sword to send 7th Stance, Flying Feather Bullets. This was technique only Crow's could use, because needed actual feathers, but with Sword-Man Unite, Sword Ki. I could slash away my Ki as bullets.
My Sword Ki bullets crashed with arrows and stopped them, their momentum didn't even slowed and went all the way to the Bow Master. Bow Master's pupil constricted and sidestepped. While he was at it, he sends two arrows a few meters above my head. I didn't know what he was doing, so, I planned to send another set of the bullet when I heard two iron clashing voice, then my thigh pierced by an arrow from the back.
I turn to look at the arrow. It was the one Bow master sent me. My movement slowed drastically. I gathered all my strength for the next attack. Crow's Ultimate ranged attack. 11th Stance. Odin's Judgement, Air Strike. This was supposed to made with wings and lots of Natural Chakra but I didn't have time to collect Nature Chakra, so, I used my arms and Sword Ki, with my zhengi fired spiral air attack.
Condensed air created a destructive force and hit Bow Master with amazing speed and fly him out of the stage, his bow cracked and he fainted. I jump off the stage to go somewhere with less staring eyes. After the last attack, everybody was looking at me. While I was healing myself, Durwin also won and next match decided.
After 15 minutes when resting time over, I went on stage. Durwin was already there. He looked at me and just nod, before raising his sword and prepare for his next attack. I stood there and started to collect Nature Chakra...

Viceroy's Pride
This story could be about the Tellask Empire, ruler of a thousand suns and faced with imminent peril at the hands of the Orakh hordes. It could be about Paltai Amberell, the scion of a noble elven House, fallen upon hard times and seeking to find the key that will restore his family's name and save the Empire itself. It could be the story of his voidship, The Viceroy's Pride, powered by magic and crewed by a team of crack marines as they search for adventure and the solution to the Empire's myriad problems. Instead, this is the story of Daniel Thrush, human electrical engineer, befuddled researcher and survivor of the debacle that was first contact with a spacefaring civilization. Due to a combination of luck, magic, hard work, and more luck he is thrust into the center of events as Earth is shoved onto a much larger stage rife with semi-immortal elves and magical kingdoms that predate the Earthly invention of agriculture. Earth is outnumbered, and we have precisely one wizard. Dan. He's not very good at it, but he's going to have to learn in a hurry or watch everything he knows get torn apart by massive spacefaring empires straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. ---------- Some readers have noted that the MC tends to be weak willed and pushed around a bit. A significant portion of the story is his character growth into not being a pushover (i.e. him being passive is in the early chapters on purpose). I'm just including this caveat/warning to make sure that readers aren't surprised/upset and that they stick with it until he learns to stand up for himself. His arc begins to crystallize around chapters 25-27. If that's too long to wait, I get it, I'm just trying to do my due diligence and warn you that the character development is a bit of a slow burn. This is NOT a harem novel. Nothing against them, just not what it is. --------- Updates Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday Feel free to bother me on our discord- Discord!

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
