A dangerous array of magic started to form above Levian’s head. The ground rumbled, the world darkened, and the monsters continued to spew out of the multiple arrays of black light that continuously appeared around them.

It was becoming a disaster as more and more of the city continued to fall rapidly. Unfortunately, there weren't enough hunters to stop the overflow as they were also overrun one by one.

Levian roared continuously, spreading his wings with majestic galore.

The world was burning to Levian’s own plan. Heavy blood continuously spilled down his eyes. The wounds were not closing, but Levian wasn’t bothered. He had many things that he must do, and he wasn’t going to stop even if he was blind; he could still feel and see by his other senses.

Snow was tucked behind Levian’s spine, holding on for her dear life.

Levian thrust his head, knowing that Snow was still on him.

With a buckle, Snow's hand almost slipped.

“Snow,” Levian growled. “Do you not see this beautiful destruction?”

Snow didn’t reply. She pulled her body up. Her feet found a footing that allowed her to stand. She looked around for another opening that she could use to harm Levian.

“The beauty that this world had caused that made it into an apocalyptic world started on the day of world war III. If we had not detonated atom bombs at each other, we would not have killed three-fourths of the world.” Levian explained with a sour expression. “Humanity has caused evil to thrive in the world of Earth, burning down everything that this planet has to offer and becoming but a deserted land. To rebalance this world, all the people in this world need to disappear.”

“You are a contradiction to yourself.” Snow shouted, “You kill your people but save mine? Why?!”

“Because of magic,” Levian replied with an arrogant tone. “Without it, the impossible wouldn’t be able to happen. Magic from your world can restore the balance of everything that you had destroyed.”

“That makes no sense. There is only so much magic in our world; why not save your world just the same?”

Levian snorted. “Because, why save a rotting world?”

“Because there are still good people left saving.”

Levian went silent for a moment. He then shook his head. “There is none anymore.”

Snow was getting frustrated by Levian’s reason. It was one-sided.

“Your reasons are flawed. What you are doing is genocide. How do I know you won’t eventually come to mine and destroy that as well?” Snow shot back. She reached toward the other spike, pulling herself up. Off the corners of her eyes, she thought she saw a small opening that she could use to her advantage. “If your reason is to wipe out the people of Earth for the damning things that they have done, our people have done the same. You are playing God when you have no right to.”

Levian snorted. “I will challenge God and become one myself.”

His words shocked Snow. To challenge God and become one himself was she never thought Levian's true goal was. The thought of him becoming God made her worried. His ideas and thoughts on his own people made her wonder if he would actually create a sound universe. She didn’t want to find out.

“You’re crazy.” Snow spat. She felt a powerful hum of light magic starting to reverberate in her very soul.

“I know. I am. Without being crazy, how would I not aim to become something impossible?” Levian arrogantly stated. “And you, Snow.” He reached over toward his back.

Alarmed, Snow tried to move out of Levian’s reach.

She rolled, reaching over to the other scales to get out of his claws from getting caught. However, he didn’t stop as his hand finally snatched her off his back.

“Snow.” Levian chuckled. His bloody eyes glaring darkly into Snow’s golden eyes. Even if it was injured, she could still feel his gaze. “As always, Snow, you have a natural allure about you.”

“Doubt it.”

Levian deeply chuckled. “You don’t see it. Even if I told you a thousand times, you would rebuttal my words. It’s okay. I see it.” his grip started to tighten, making Snow in pain. “But, that charm that brings people together, and the obstinate belief that we could save the whole world is stupid and an impossible dream.”

Snow could feel her body starting to break even through the armor. The magical light became stronger and stronger.

“But, your existence is not needed anymore.”

“Argh!” Snow shouted in pain. She struggled hard.

“Snow!” Dairen shouted, drawing Levian.

An arrow smashed into Levian’s head.

Levian tilted, his grip loosened.

Snow was able to slip through. Her hand was able to grab the edge of Levian’s claws, dangling

for a moment.

Dairen shot another. Levian roared, pissed off that Dairen was becoming an annoying bug that wouldn’t leave him alone.

Levian’s roared sent out a powerful shockwave, freezing Dairen, Snow, and Mike in their tracks for a brief moment.

Hundreds of magical circles started to form above Levian. The ground shivered, turning into a boiling rush of magical streams of dark energy. Hundreds of pillars of dark magic started to show an ugly rift of different worlds peeking through.

Snow could feel it down to her soul.

The anger in Levian’s body was becoming stronger and stronger, becoming dangerously powerful. Even the darkness around him was becoming a cloak that amplified his appearance and power.

The horns, the spikes, and even the ooze of magic turned him into a swarm monster.

His arm became longer, his legs were filled with muscle. The bloody eyes became healed. The hatred in Levian’s eyes glazed with pure malice as he gazed over toward Dairen.

“This roach!” Levian roared.

An electric thunderstorm rumbled in the air. The world above them becoming darker and darker. Some of the dark pillars of lights shattered.

Waves of molten lava, cyclones of a tornado, and a mighty wind blew, mowing down the cities even faster.

Snow knew it was now or never. The welling in her soul exploded.

A piercing white light escaped from her body. She was elated by the swell, pushing her to the edge. She summoned up White Gryphon from her inventory. It glowed a brilliant light.

She pulled herself up from Levian’s claws. She pushed herself up, and she jumped with the sword in hand.

The bright light blinded Levian momentarily.

Snow struck. Her sword sliced through the chest cavity of Levian’s heart. Levian started, aghast by the sudden blow. He stared at Snow in shock.

“I can’t die.” Levian gurgled, blood dripping down his face.

Snow's body smashed into Levian, pushing the sword in deeper.

Levian faltered.

Snow didn’t stop there. Hundreds of small orbs of sun appeared around her. Beams of light smashed into Levian’s body, over and over again, becoming a light show.

Mike chortled a war cry, he swung his electric blade. But, something was different about the power in his sword. It dug into Levian’s leg, cutting his right leg with a swing.

Levian toppled, unable to hold his own body.

While Dairen ran up Levian’s back. He aimed at the wounded opening with his bow in his hand as he made it to the top. Then, one after another, he fired. Over and over again, as multiple arrows pierced through.

The darkness in Dairen's anger lingered in every arrow that was sent into Levian's monstrous body.

A loud groan escaped Levan’s lips. He coughed up blood. “I just wanted….you….to be... happy.”

Snow wavered. His words confused her. Her fingers let go of the sword. She slid down his body as she laid against Levian’s body.

“Then you shouldn’t have tried to kill her.” Dairen spat. He slid down. Quickly, he went over towards Snow.

His warmth made Snow relieved. She was happy to see that he was okay.

Dairen squatted down, reaching over to touch her cheeks.

“Are you okay?”

Snow shook her head up and down.

“I’m glad.” Dairen leaned in.

The energy inside exhausted her mind and body. She couldn’t think anymore. She closed her eyes as she enjoyed Dairen's presence. Her body seemed to meld in his arms as she rested.

It has been a very long day, and for the first time in a long time, she felt at ease.

Dairen raised up his hand, wrapping her in his arm. His fingers slipped through her white hair as he too closed his eyes as he breathed in her scent.

Silence momentarily descended upon them as they sat in place.
