《Angel's Song: Requiem of the Dreams》286. Dairen's Army (I)

(Dairen’s View)
The immortal army that Dairen had controlled got over the wall as they surround themselves around Darien. The Gold Phoenix Guild quickly reorientated themselves and merged with Dairen, assisting each other as best as possible.
The extra help lessened a load of demon’s attacks, helping them have a better push back. Even the other guilds and soldiers scattered around noticed and rallied around Dairen’s army, changing the war flow. So they pulled back and merged with Dairen’s army.
Quickly but efficiently, the demons were being pushed out of the city and back over the wall. The remaining demons that they couldn't get were weeded out, bringing more stability back into the fight.
Dairen had shot numerous arrows, killing many monsters.
“Dairen!” Red waved her hand over her head. She was a bit dirty and haggard from the continuous fights. A group of mages followed behind her.
“Red, it’s good to see that you are still alive.”
Red chuckled. “I'm not going to croak that easily. It's been a fierce battle, but I’m more glad that you brought your army with you. I thought we would get overwhelmed.”
“Glad that I made it in time. From the looks of it, we still got a lot to sweep away. Where is Mike?” Dairen glanced around.
“He’s at the castle to chase after the Demon King.”
“By himself?”
“No, with Audrey, Gilbert, and Rodney.”
“That’s not enough,” Dairen spoke. He knew that they would be wiped out with just the three.
“That’s what I have told them!” Red spoke out in an outburst. “I would have come with them if I didn’t have my team being overrun.”
“I’m going to go and assist them.”
“I can bring more people with us. Tommy, Tamaki, and Mr. Everett were with me a while ago.”
“That would be a good idea.”
Red nodded. She turned toward her helpers. They understood what Red wanted and split up into small groups as they searched for the three.
It didn’t take long for them to come back.
Tamaki, Tommy, and Mr. Everett were still in great fighting shape. They had heard what they were going to do.
“Tommy. It’s good to see you again.” First, Dairen shook Tommy’s hand. Then, he went down the line and grabbed each of their hands. “Tamaki and Mr. Everett.”

“Good to see you as well.” Tommy replied, “It's been a while since we worked together.”
“Yes, it has been. You heard what I'm going to do from Red, correct?”
“Yes, I have been itching to fight.” Tommy smacked his hand together. “We better get going to deal with this problem before it becomes bigger.
“True, but what happened to Snow?” Tamaki asked. His hand was on his sword. “I thought she was with you.”
“She was, but right now, we split up.”
“Is she alright?”
“I honestly don’t know.”
Tamaki frowned. “I assumed you would have gone to go find her.”
Dairen shook his head. “I know she’s alright.”
“How do you know?”
“Because my undead tiger is still alive. I told it to protect Snow and be at her side at all times. If it gets destroyed, I would have gone to look after her.”
“My student should be able to take care of herself.” Mr. Everett said with a huff. “A saintess like her wouldn’t easily succumb to such easy demons.”
“True, but…” Tamaki replied. He brushed back his hair.
“Don’t worry, she’s fine. Let’s go.” Darien replied. He honestly hoped that she was alright, but the priority to save the city was high.
Dairen, Mr. Everett, Red, Tommy, and Tamaki quickly moved through the city and headed straight toward the castle. Any monster that they have found, they quickly dispatched.
It didn’t take long for them to arrive.
A heavy burst of dark energy escaped out from the castle, causing them to momentarily freeze. Only Dairen was able to move as he was the first one to dart into the castle.
Eventually, the others were able to break free, running in after Dairen.
Dairen rushed in. He saw bodies of demons dead on the floor, which had been overcome.
Every step he took, he could feel the harsh power of the demon king washing over in waves. It became stronger and stronger. Finally, when he burst through the throne room, he saw Audrey, Rodney, and Gilbert finishing off the last demon they had overpowered.
Gilbert shot threw his spear into the air and straight into the last demon general’s heart.

With a thud, the demon general fell down dead.
“Rodney!” Dairen had shouted.
All three of them turned around, noticing Dairen.
“Dairen? What are you doing here?” Rodney asked.
“I came to help you guys out.”
“Well, it’s good that you are here. Mike has gone ahead and is fighting the Demon King.”
Tommy, Tamaki, Red, and Mr. Everett were a few feet behind as they burst into the room.
The moment he entered, a wash of strong energy swept through his body, making him stronger. Off in the distance, he saw sparks of electricity and dark energy clashing amongst each other.
Mike was in a fierce battle with the Demon King, on par to par.
The power of lightning dazzled around them like lightning.
With a powerful burst of dark energy glowed around the demon king, the pressure around him pushed down on anyone who wasn’t ready.
Even Dairen was thrown off by the sudden pressure. He pushed back with his own violent energy.
Mike sent out a torrent of lightning magic as it wrapped itself around the Demon King’s body like a chain.
The demon King spoke with arrogance. “Not too bad.” The Demon King replied. “It’s a bit of an improvement from most of the humans that I have fought. You are a Player, aren’t you?”
Mike said. “Only the gods would dare to intervene in such a foolish attempt.”
The Demon King grabbed the lightning chains that kept him in place. “A fool’s wish.”
Powerful dark energy sparked out of the Demon King’s hand, but before he could break the chain, a black arrow penetrated from his back through the chest.
Shocked, the Demon King looked down. “Who?”
A burst of greenish-black energy sparkled out from the Demon King’s chest. Then, with a painful scream, the Demon King burst into green flames as he fell onto his knees. It took a moment for the fire to die down as the Demon King stood immobilized in place.
Dairen's eyes darted around to find the person who had caused harm against the Demon King. Then, out of the corner of darkness, a shadow emerged.
“Well, that was easier than I thought.” Levian’s voice spoke up with a pleasant smile. He pulled out his weapon.
“You!” Blood dripped out of the Demon King’s lips. “How dare you!”
“Mike!” Levian shouted, “don’t stop! Kill him!”
Mike snapped out of his stupor. He bolted into action, swinging his blade down. It headed straight toward the Demon King’s shoulder.
The Demon King raised up his hand, stopping the blade. “You wretched human.” He spat blood out of his mouth. “You shall not kill me!”
Mike sent out a surge of lightning that traveled down his sword.
A blast of electricity shocked him over and over again as Mike continued to push down more and more. His blade was digging deeper than before.
With a snarl, the Demon King muscle bulked up, throwing Mike back.
Mike slid across the ground, stunned.
“You will not kill m-”
A flash of Levian’s blade dug into the Demon King’s neck. Then, with a powerful blow, Levian lopped off the Demon King’s head.
With an ugly thud, the Demon King’s head rolled on the ground. Its surprised expression was still in place, eventually stopping on its side. The body tumbled onto the ground as it laid dead.
Mike gaped for a moment, stunned. Then he cheered, ecstatic at their teamwork.
They have won.
Dairen let out a sigh of relief. He was glad that this fight was over.
Levian threw his head back, laughing out loud. His feet on the Demon King’s body. Both Dairen and Mike were confused, wondering what was going on. It took a moment for Levian to finish laughing until he settled down.
Taking a deep breath, he gave out a satisfied smile.
The energy around the Demon King bubbled, devouring the previous Demon King’s body and head. Streams of magic headed straight toward Levian.
“Levian, what are you doing?!” Mike shouted in disbelief.
Levian looked at Mike as a wicked smile erupted from his lips. “Thank you for helping me become the next Demon King.”

DISCLAIMER: I wrote this story before the Fazbear Fright books came out, more or less confirming that Foxy Bro is Michael Afton. I took this story down for a little while because I wasn't sure what else to do with it, but I decided to put it back up because I worked for a long time on it but I would like you to have this little PSA in mind. Thank you. :)Now for the synopsis:Michael quite literally wakes up to impaired memory and a distant family who he thinks might be willing to help him get his memory back. Soon enough, he learns about the many dead people he's been close to and the mystery surrounding them. Michael then starts sticking his nose in places he doesn't belong, getting himself in trouble, all the while his family seems to be falling apart.
