《Angel's Song: Requiem of the Dreams》179. Falcon's Excitement

She woke up from the sound of the bustling voices of people outside. Pushing herself up, she looked around and found herself in her bedroom. Surprised that she ended up here, she wondered what had happened.
The last thing she remembered was using up all her magic again to grab a chance to win against the tide of battle. Luckily, they did.
Her room was large compared to most of the rooms in the Gold Phoenix headquarters. It was nicely decorated with blue, white, and a bit of pink color. One side of the wall was strewn with lines of her vision and goals board that she had explicitly made. Half of them were the future of the Gold Phoenix direction, and the other half was the vision of herself. The woman she wanted to be.
Every day, she would wake up and stare at the board that she created, reminding herself. When she was out in the dungeon raid, she kept a small notebook that Snow carried in storage that she pulled out every day in her spare time.
Not only that, there were a large number of pillows on her bed and stuffed animals that she collected. Most of them were for comfort when she slept, which she found a bit embarrassed if anyone saw. She wondered who had brought her in her room as getting in was not easy without her approval. The only four allowed to even enter were Dairen, Mike, Heather, and Angie. Anyone other than that wouldn’t dare to take a step in.
She had an inkling that it was either Dairen or Mike, mostly leaning towards Dairen. Just thinking about him made her cheeks turn slightly red. Strangely, she didn’t mind if it was Dairen that helped her out.
With a groan, she tried to move, but her body was bruised and tight. How long has she been out?
She grunted in dissatisfaction. Quickly throwing the poisonous thoughts away, she silently assured herself that she would continually work on herself so she wouldn’t get bedridden so many times.
Getting up, she pulled on her pants and t-shirts. Heading out of the bedroom, excited, loud voices could be heard. Everyone was busily bringing in their spoils from the dungeon dive. It was a truckload of materials, going in and out of the guild.
Falcon, who was their main blacksmith, was shouting and pointing where to put each material. Other people were running around with large knives, chopping away at the fresh monster parts in hand.

“You fools!” Falcon yelled, “You’re supposed to handle those A-class items with care!” He stomped his foot, shaking his hand with a wild craze.
The players grunted and frowned, but they tried their best to follow Falcon’s directions. Mostly because they knew that they didn’t want to fall out of favor with Falcon, mostly because he was the only known Blacksmith in Atlantis that could handle any materials and make a superb weapon, items, and armors.
Snow was glad to hear Falcon’s voice ringing out in the guildhall, happy to hear that she was back. Living out in the wilderness was something that she still wasn’t used to. She never understood how the Players could continually live in the dungeons for months. Even the hot water for bathing was missed.
Falcon noticed Snow standing in the corner, he motioned her over.
Snow walked over, watching the people move around with even more enthusiasm.
“Snow, good to see you are awake,” Falcon said, folding his hand in front of him. “I thought you would be sleeping a bit longer at the rate that you were sleeping.”
“I don’t sleep that much?”
“You slept for a week.”
“Wait, what?!”
“Yea, throughout the trip back home, I heard you spent all your mana and went into a coma. It wasn’t until like a few hours ago that everyone made it back to the guild.”
“It only has been that long?”
“Yea, I’m excited at the new materials that have come in.” Falcon greedily rubbed his hand. His eyes sparkling at the piles of materials that were going by. “Lately, I found out the materials inside this dungeon are unique.”
Snow was curious about what Falcon had to say, mostly because Falcon was a nut for blacksmithing, and he always wanted to dive in with them on dungeon dives. It wasn’t until Snow, Mike and Dairen had talked some sense into him to stay behind to hold the fort down. They didn’t want to lose a skilled blacksmith, and all agreed to help Falcon build him his own dream workplace.
It took a lot of materials, but they made it happen. Allowing Gold Phoenix to poach one of the most highly sought out BlackSmith masters into their guild. Not only that, being close friends with Falcon helped them persuade them to stay with the Gold Phoenix guild.
“That is?” Snow asked, wondering what he got to say.

Falcon seems to animate into enthusiasm. A big smile erupted on his face as he gazed at her with a lovestruck eagerness. “We can enchant them!”
Confused, Snow wasn’t sure how this was a big deal. “We can usually enchant armor,” Snow said.
“Yes, we can, but it's only one or two enchantments at max. Now I can at least get to three to four. If I’m lucky, I can enchant the armor to five different properties and abilities.”
To hear earth-shattering revelations made Snow gape. There has never been such a thing done in the history of their magical world. Even having three enchanted items was considered a legendary artifact, but now to enchant up to fifth was groundbreaking. Not only that, Snow couldn’t help but wonder if all the items that they had pilfered in the battle was enough to make many more such items.
As if reading her thoughts, Falcon spoke, “We have enough to make over thousands of them.”
Snow’s jaw dropped.
“It’s only the beginning of it.” Falcon chuckled, seeing her expression made him laugh even more.
“Are you serious?” Snow asked, trying to wrap this all-around in her head. “We have that much material?”
“Yes. Mike and Dairen made sure to bring every piece of the monsters they killed with them and even hunted more while heading towards the gate. Though,” Falcon raised up her finger, “I have been told that the monsters became chaotic, making escaping the dungeon a bit prolonged.”
“I see.”
“Not only that, but Heavenly guild will also be bringing over their part of the portion as well,” Falcon said with a hint of satisfaction.
Snow gulped. To hear that the amount of materials that they have gained was astronomically mind-numbing. Even the best players to have a piece of such items could boost the main fighting power to leaps and bound. It was definite that both guilds would become a pinnacle existence in Atlantis and possibly the whole country with the number of legendary items they had coveted and made specially by Falcon himself.
His name would be known far and wide, bringing more Players and Natives who would want to join the Gold Phoenix guild.
Snow was impressed by Mike and Darien's careful planning, especially on how both of them were planning on using their names. At first, Snow didn’t pay much attention to the guild's inner workings because of the amount of work she has to do back and forth from Dragon Express, and Gold Phoenix took most of her time. But as she got closer to her friends, she noticed a few things.
The first was her nickname that they advertise out to the world. “The White Saintess” that they used for propaganda for the Gold Phoenix advertisement, which in itself brought a few troubles and, at the same time, many benefits.
Now, with the appearance of the enchanted items with five extra buffs added to an item, such legendary things would be spread far and wide as the rumors would grow to astounding heights.
Not only that, with the merge of the second and third Player guilds into the Gold Phoenix, they have basically taken over a large portion of manpower in Atlantis itself. Mike and Dairen accomplished amazing feats one after another, bringing with them materials and items from rare beasts and monsters inside the dungeon that had already put them on a higher level.
With the names of strong player force, Gold Phoenix wasn’t an easy guild to topple over. Already, Mike and Dairen were moving at a rapid pace, expanding the guild at breakneck speed. After building the blacksmith for Falcon, their next major project was to build an instore alchemy shop and a few things she couldn’t quite remember.
Falcon reached over and patted her shoulder. “Yea, I had the same reaction as you.”
Turning towards him, she spoke. “How fast can you make all those items?” She carefully asked her voice almost a whisper.
“Give me two months, and I’m sure I’ll finish all my orders,” Falcon said excitedly, grinning from ear to ear at the prospect of something new and exciting. A challenge he hasn't had in a very long time.
“That soon?!” Snow tried her best to suppress her shock, but couldn’t.
“Yep. Trust me, I’ll get it done.” Falcon thumped his chest.
“Please don’t overwork yourself.” Snow sighed, shaking her head at Falcon.
“Don’t worry, girl, this is an exciting adventure for a blacksmith like me. You guys will get the best of the best.” Falcon winked. “I need to get my furnace ready. I’ll see you later.” Falcon walked off, leaving her behind with a dumbstruck expression. She stood there unable to say or do anything else, but silently watched his broad back, almost skipping in excitement at the project.
