《Ex Machina (Hiatus)》Log 001: Day One (1)

An androgynous 5 foot tall grey humanoid with blue angular lines running across its body, hair of grey stopping above the shoulders and a 3 foot long tail is materialized in the center of a dusted hall of an old temple.
With glowing blue eyes matching the highlight of the hair, indicating the energy vision is in use, the humanoid surveys the surroundings and examines the broken pews and dusty altar with the symbol of the sun above it but gains nothing of value other than in the environment.
As for the environment itself, unlike only electromagnetic radiation, there is another type of fundamental energy just as omnipresent which Derus assumed to be the second force mana as Light had mentioned, mana. Derus had the system scan this new type of energy passively.
Initializing passive analysis of [Mana].
'This building is too old to be used as an area of residence, I should at find an exit.' thought Derus who then proceeded through the temple's halls making note of the words of an unknown language that were passively being analyzed by the system and, at the same time, trying to interface with with this energy system of mana but with no success as the mana just seemed to go about it's own business unhindered by anything in the environment.
Arriving at the entrance to the temple, Derus notices that it is surrounded by trees, all of which appear healthy and having rather thick trunks reaching at least 20 metres tall with crowns of thick leaves that block out the sun. The faint sounds of animals going out their business and insects skitting could be picked up by Derus's conical faustrum ears which would be otherwise impossible for humans. The humanoids ears were capable of picking up sounds all the way up to the ultrasonic range and due to design, can communicate in those frequencies as well.

It was also because of Derus' enhanced humanoid hearing ability that was able to detect the life forms waiting in ambush prompting Derus to activate the energy vision and in this same vision, a red color highlight is used to indentify the five hiding creatures with one directing the other four further in.

Using the energy vision, Derus could see that the wolves were glaring from behind the large trees, expertly hidden from normal view whilst remaining near motionless with the exception of their deeply quiet breathing. Seeing that the wolves ambushed the only somewhat looking path away from the broken down temple, Derus decided to just walk through the ambush, ready to counter attack at a humanoid's moment's notice.
'The one to the back should be the alpha with the leadership specialization given how it is directing the other four' analyzed Derus who appeared to be oblivious to the wolves.
'There's one to my left preparing to pounce, one on my right aiming for my feet and two a little ways ahead lying in wait.'
No sooner after finishing this thought did the two wolves with messy coats of brown aiming directly at Derus did as predicted. With enough speed to leave behind the wind and glowing golden irises, the wolves rush at Derus aiming to take down the humanoid.

The wolf rushing at Derus feet was sidestepped as if it were a crawling baby and the wolf that tried to pounce on Derus was punched in the snout with enough force to break it apart sendung it flying several feet away with blood trailing its path before it lay still on the verdant forest floor.
'I may have used a bit too much force but this should be enough to put them out of their misery so they need not suffer needlessly.'
From ahead, two more wolves rushed out whilst the one that Derus side stepped was making slow circles whilst growling lowly in a foolish atempt to bait the humanoid.
Derus could understand why the wolves were making such a desparate atempt to get food from their appearance alone which look malnourished with rib cage showing and deflated stomach.
Jumping out from behind the humanoid and running in from the left were the other two wolves who were on supposed to take down Derus whilst the humanoid was busy with the wolf acting with bait only to be immediately killed when Derus, in a flash of yellow due to the temporary activation of [overdrive], grabbed the wolf rushing in from the left and slammed it into the airborne wolf breaking the wolf's spine and sending the other flying through the three crowns.
'That overdrive feature seems to work splendidly but the energy drain is extreme'
The stunned bait wolf was not spared either as immediately after that short bit of contemplation, the humanoid rushed towards it, and kicked it, smashing it's face in to the point that the eyeballs popped out of its head, towards the hiding place of the stunned alpha to which Derus was calmly approaching.
The alpha wolf came out from it's hiding place with it's angry glare fixated on the impassive face of the humanoid and it's teeth bared in a clearly audible growl.
Drawing in the energy which Derus assumed was this mana, the alpha wolf began forming a thin glowing membrane over its coat with consequence towards it's E.U.R. This did not change anything as in the end the wolf met the same fate as the rest of its pack members.
'With that out of the way, I can set about finding a civilization now.' mused Derus who forgot about the wolf ambush incident the second it ended
After progressing through the forest for a while, the verdant floor started showin spots of brown which solidified into a solid dirt track indicating frequent use. Following this, Derus finally arrived at the outskirts of a village which had a wooden fence not more than 2 metres high and a guardsman dressed in leather armor armed with a nocked wooden bow looking sharply at Derus's location.

'I hope this doesn't end too badly.' thought Derus with a sigh as the humanoid progressed owards.
