PHASE 92 - RIKKUN VS EVERYONE

Rikkun gently went to his best friend’s corpse and made the honors to close his eyelids. Even if Heushac suffered a gruesome death, there is a smile on his bloodied lips. He looks so satisfied in an all-out fight with his best friend even though he ended up losing his life in the process.

I can’t look any longer. This is all my fault. Everybody who has been involved with me ends up either cursed or dead. My existence is very much a mistake at this point.

“Hold on, Tiara. We’re going to fly.” Rikkun whispered. With his command, I tightened my arms around his neck as he crouched and readied for a blast-off. “”

Wings spawned on Rikkun’s back and boots, giving him the ability to fly. With a silver streak on his trail, he went to the stratosphere like a rocket.

However, I sensed something bad that is about to happen.

“What the-!!!”

A deafening roar of explosion barraged us in the skies. Silver arrows, flying golden axes, and even darting swords relentlessly chased us in midair. Rikkun immediately covered me with both of his arms in order to minimize the damage. So far, I only got minor cuts and burns due to the exploding projectiles.

There was a thick smoke around us, and Rikkun waited until it cleared. Fleeing blindly away from the explosion range would just give away our position and it will be tantamount to suicide, at least for me. Rikkun is unaffected by any attacks anyway.

Before the dust clouds faded, we heard a loud shout in the northwest direction. And it was an all-familiar voice.

“Alaric, Tiara! Surrender now!” It was Jecchan, no, it was Lord Freya’s mature voice!

The smoke finally cleared, revealing the gods we’ll be facing. Now in front of us is Rainbow Freya, Lord Hel, and Lord Mercury which was aided by their respective wings to aid their flight. At the ground are also familiar faces of divinity such as Lord Neptune, Lord Venus, Lord Hephaestus, and Helena with four God Cores (Odin, Zeus, Vishnu, and Mars) active.

There are also hordes of Gate Guardians readying their bows, guns, sniper rifles, bazookas, slingshots, darts, and even fire wands aimed at us. Seeing their black jacket uniform with a black-cross sigil means that the mother legion is here.

This is the worst-case scenario. At this time, we are about to face our former allies; the Aether Crusade, and even the most elite Gate Guardians of the Black Cross Legion!

“Rikkun…” I worriedly cried for my love.

“Tsk.” Rikkun clicked his tongue. “Jeanne, Eliseo, Emily, Kristoff, Helena, Francois, and even Sister Amanda. I couldn’t hope for the worst scenery.”

“Alaric Eisenhower!” Rainbow Freya called our attention, her colorful wings unleashing dust around her body. “What you’re doing is a crime! Surrender Tiara right now, so you can get minimal consequences!”

“So you’re taking up their side now, Jeanne!?” Rikkun’s roar is full of fierceness like a cornered mountain lion. “I thought you’re on our side!”

“Don’t be mistaken, Alaric.” Rainbow Freya pointed her longsword towards us as if she’s challenging Rikkun to a duel. “I am on the Aether Crusade’s side. I only side with justice.”

“Traitor.” Rikkun laughed. “I should have left you back in the Underworld Prison.”

“You are the one to talk, Alaric. Surrender yourself and Tiara to us. This is your last chance.” Rainbow Freya said.

“Rikkun…” I wordlessly begged for my lover to stop. His passionate crimson eyes looked at mine for a second.

There was a long silence, about ten seconds only, but it seemed like an eternity. Rikkun immediately had his grip on my body, much tighter than before. With his free right hand, he materialized an ice sword that came from the Realm of the Frozen Soul. It is at this moment that he has cemented his resolve.

“I will never let go,” Rikkun said.

“You’re really Aeternos now, huh… Then you shall face the consequences!”

Rainbow Freya roared out loud. She spread out her arms and pointed both of her longswords in our direction.

“All Gate Guardians, attack! Don’t bother taking down Aeternos! Aim only at Tiara Hikari!”

“!!!” Lord Neptune (Sister Amanda Cryst) was the first one to attack. She raised her staff which opened a gigantic portal in the skies which unleashed hundreds of falling ice rocks in the shape of a bus!

“!!!” Lord Hephaestus (Francois) also created a magical circle that launched thousands of swords, all aiming to Rikkun!

“!!!” Lord Mercury (Kristoff) unleashed a barrage of winged arrows that has a trajectory similar to homing missiles that chased us like angry birds!

Those ice rocks, flying swords, and homing arrows were effortlessly dodged by Rikkun with the help of his Some of the attacks managed to hit him but with minimal impact only. Whenever a projectile is ought to land to me, he will just turn around and let his armored back take the attacks.

“” Rikkun created a barrier buffed with blinding speed to charge against the enemies in the midair. He is trying to take down the greatest threat which are the gods and goddesses who can fly.

“This will be your death, Tiara Hikari! Master Alaric will be mine!” Goddess Hel (Emily) roared as she revealed her deathly demonic claws. She charged forward to intercept us! “!!!”

“” Rikkun whispered. In an instant, everything was engulfed in complete darkness, which was followed by a silver streak. When the darkness faded, Goddess Hel was eradicated on our way as she crashed down to the buildings and houses like a malfunctioning jet plane.

“Ric, what are you-!!!” Lord Mercury (Kristoff) aimed his bow while asking his question, but sadly, he never managed to finish his sentence. Rikkun has teleported right on his face, readying a lightning punch!

“”

Swoosh! Lord Mercury managed to evade the electrifying right hook in a flashing speed, but it is not enough to completely escape from its effects. The lightning blasted around Rikkuns fist, creating an explosion that took the God of Travelers down in a heartbeat.

"Gah!"

“NEXT!!!” Rikkun roared as he turned towards Rainbow Freya, his crimson eyes leaving a light afterimage. Rikkun boosted towards the astounded colorful goddess but she managed to block his sword thrust by crossing her sword.

“W-Wait!” Rainbow Freya cried.

Rikkun is not in the mood to talk. He was about to follow up a powerful and blinding sword slash but then somebody interrupted us.

“!!!” Lord Venus (Eliseo’s) crimson hair elongated and rushed towards us. It wrapped Rikkun’s right arm and misdirected it, making his sword attack against Rainbow Freya miss.

“!!!” Using all the power of her God Core, Sister Amanda Cryst summoned a gigantic ice meteor that is city-wide in size! The meteor immediately shaped itself into a giant crystal diamond with only one pointing tip and it smashed towards us!

A gargantuan explosion roared because of the impact. It felt a little cramped here in Rikkun’s arms since he focused on covering me by reshaping his armor to act as a cocoon. That attack should have reduced me to smithereens if it’s not because of my lover’s protection.

In the darkness of the cloud dust, I saw Rikkun’s head move in an eerie mechanical manner. His crimson eyes are calculating the future movements of the enemies even if he can’t see anything inside.

“!!!” Rikkun opened five Time Gates and summoned five Aeternos from different timelines. All of them charged chilling prana on their hands as they surged away from the blast area and assaulted his enemies’ future position! “!!!”

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!”

Countless screams echoed that will surely give nightmares to the one hearing it. Rikkun’s Time Clones unleashed that froze all the Gate Guardians around waiting for an ambush. After the Aeternos Clones unleashed their attacks, they immediately disappeared to dust.

“Venus, Hephaestus, unleash your ultimate attacks!” Rainbow Freya commanded from the distance. With her affirmation, both the Goddess of Beauty and the God of Forging nodded and focused their prana as they relocate themselves and position for a pincer attack!

“Goddess Core Release-”

However, before they could speak out the names to release their God Cores, Rikkun already made his move. He has calculated everything within the twelve-second intervals, so he has planned everything from the start.

“” Two gigantic icicle spears filled with divine energy was created on his hand. With his left foot as a pivot, he threw the first spear towards his left, spun while reloading, and unleashed the second spear towards his right.

The spears swished with a speed faster than light.

The first spear hit Goddess Venus, and the second spear hit God Hephaestus. Upon impact, both god and goddess were trapped into an ice diamond that froze all their body except their head.

My eyes were filled with amazement towards the man I love. I can’t believe that Rikkun has this much power and skill when fighting all seriously, even if he’s handicapped by carrying me all the way and fighting with only one hand.

Now, the threats have significantly been lowered. The only divine beings who can stand against Rikkun is Rainbow Freya… and the swordswoman who has the power of four gods.

A buster sword slashed through the smoke, clearing it away like how Moses split the sea. It revealed the wielder of such a sword, who is a female knight with cybernetic armor, long blue cape, and a ponytailed hair. Her serious cobalt eyes struck me in fear as my PTSD in fighting her came back.

“YOU WILL PAY FOR KILLING MY BABY BROTHER, ALARIIIIC!!!”

Helena made her warcry.
