Chapter 7: Boss Will Take Care of You

It all started when Klein was testing his Weak Point ability.

He was working as a dishwasher and during peak hours, as a server. There are many Adventurer patrons in the restaurant where he works. And when Klein is assigned as a server, he always make sure to activate Weak Point for experimentation.

He mostly gets the same feedback from everybody. It is always the eyes, ears, nose, throat, chest, knees and the toes.

Though, sometimes some of those Weak Points would vanish only to reappear later.

And now that he thinks about it, the strong guys have less weak point because their stance has covered those weak points.

At that time, Klein thought that Weak Point's only usage is to tell him where to hit. He still haven't discovered that Weak Point also tell him the weakness in their techniques.

Klein had paid no mind to those missing Weak Points. Though he did notice something.

Or someone.

It is the green haired guy. All males have glaring weakness in their groin but for him, it doesn't exist.

It may be a case of it vanishing, like the other weak points, but it will sooner or later reappear, specially when they relax. But for him, it is different. It seems not to exist at all.

This made Klein suspicious. Is he secretly a she? Is she cross-dressing as a man?

Before he was kicked out of his universe, Klein was a man of the 21st century. He had witnessed and experienced the information boom.

He had seen the most beautiful faces the world has to offer through his monitor's screen. This pictures help him spend the cold and lonely nights. Though after sometime, he discovered a problem.

His favourite For Academic Purposes material turned out to be a guy.

It's a trap.

Klein suddenly experience a existential crisis. Did he really fap to a guy? And for so many nights too. Is he still considered straight?

And more importantly is there more?

Filled with motivation, he searched the Internet while training his eyes to tell if someone is cross-dressing.

And he really found more. Klein could have exposed them but he didn't. It is important to respect someone's choice. It's their own business. And he doesn't have bad feelings for them anyway.

But through this experience, he can confidently say that the Green Haired guy is a girl.

Klein didn't know her reason. And just like on his own world, he decided not to point it out.

He just took note of it.

But it all changed when Klein saw her one shotting a bear. He was currently doing the herb gathering quest that time when he managed to see her. After that, Klein decided to observe her more but it still has to wait after he completed his mission.

She's strong. And as he said before, as a weakling, he has to find a big thigh to hug. He has to rely on a strong person.

And that's the reason why Klein decided to interfere. He is one hundred percent sure that she can defeat the ten guys surrounding her.

Klein decided to use this opportunity to make a good first impression by 'saving' her.

And it all went according to plan.

He would approach them demanding justice from the unfairness of ganging up on one person with ten people. He will pretend to be the good and righteous guy.

And after some taunting, the fight would ensue and the green haired man would defeat all ten of them. Klein would just stand on the sidelines while pretending to help.

Though, there's some hiccups. One guy became really mad on Klein's taunts and attack him for real. He hadn't expected this world's NPC to be that weak to provocation. Klein was thankful that he hadn't started with 'Your mom' insults.

But Klein is also a bit thankful because this hiccup led to the discovery behind Weak Point's true use.

Klein quickly follows the green haired guy out of the alley.

"You don't have to thank me brother."

"Who's thanking who? And don't call me brother," replied the green haired guy in annoyance.

Klein just chuckled at the other party's expense. He is used to this.

"Come on. Don't be a stranger. We are two people who had gone through thick and thin together. Haven't we won an epic fight against ten opponents with just the two of us? What does that make us but brothers for life? Don't be shy. I'm Klein by the way, Klein Sparrow."

After living in the capital city of Arkland for a few years, the green haired guy, girl in disguise, had met all sorts of people. But she hadn't met someone as shameless as Klein.

She didn't know if Klein has some hidden agenda or he's just an idiot.

She turned around and looked at Klein straight into the eye.

"Look here! I don't know what your deal is, and if you want to stay alive, you better stay away from me. Go find someone else to bother."

She tried to intimidate him, but Klein just found the situation cute. She obviously doesn't have that much experience in intimidating someone.

And the fact that Klein knows that she's secretly a girl and with her glaring eyes that's trying to be menacing, Klein can't help but chuckle.

"Are you worried that the one chasing you will also beat me up? Don't worry? You might not notice but this Daddy looks weak but is secretly strong. Didn't you see me play with that guy?

Haven't you heard of the saying "Walk slowly but always carry a big stick"?

I always walk slowly because I have a big stick"

Klein finished while giving a wink. Though he was disappointed when she didn't seem to get the innuendo.

"Are you convinced yet? How about this? I'll be your boss and I'll make sure that they won't bother you again."

Of course, Klein is only blowing hot empty air. He doesn't have any intention of wiping out that gang. And even if they come for him, he expect the cross-dressing green haired girl to take care of the fight.

"As a boss, I'll make sure to take care of you."

The transition from brother to boss is so smooth that Klein can't even believe himself. But this only makes the green haired girl more exasperated.

She felt like they were not talking in the same language.

She turned around and continued walking and deciding to just ignore Klein. But Klein followed her all the way while spouting more nonsense. Finally she had enough.

"What would I need to do for you to stop bothering me?"

"How about you tell me your name first?"

"I'm Kruce. Now, can you go away?"

'Gotcha,' Klein thought to himself.

One way of stopping someone from bothering you is to ignore them completely. Once you give in, even just a little bit, it will be over for you.

Once you have given an inch, they will always take a mile from you.

"Kruce! What a nice name! A gender neutral name that can be used by both male and female," Klein teased. "And now that I become your Boss, be ready for a brighter future. Boss will definitely take care of you. And as a sign of good will, take this Healing Potion. I noticed that you're injured in your arm. Hehe, if it were me, I won't be injured even while facing twenty guys."

Klein understands it very well. Someone shouldn't be shameful all the time. It is important to step back so you can have the opportunity to be more shameful in the future.

Klein got that potion bottle from the apothecary that he just went to. The potion master is so impressed from the amount of herbs that Klein gathered that he give Klein a bonus apart from the usual commission. He gave Klein three bottles of potions.

Kruce accepted the potion bottle and poured it in the wound in her right arm.

"Hey! That's not how you use it," Klein said but he was forced to stop.

Klein was flabbergasted when the wound closed and healed after just a few seconds.

Healing potions are generally taken orally and not applied externally. Healing potions are used to hasten the bodies' ability to heal wounds. After taking a healing potion, the wounds don't magically heal and vanish for a few seconds, and not with the potion that Klein gave her anyway. It is only a low class Healing Potion.

Kruce is more mysterious than he thought.

"Thanks!" Kruce said before leaving. She resolves not to be associated with this weirdo ever again.

Klein watched her back as she leaves and yelled,

"See you next time, Kruce!"
