Red stands in his room’s bathroom. He looks at himself in the mirror, white facepaint coats the face, with black eye shadow. He wheres a black cloak with a red interior and puts fangs in. He strikes a pose-

Red: Bleh. I vant to suck your blooood.

He walks out into the guildhall, everyone wheres a costume. He walks up to Hiro, who is also wearing a black cloak with white face paint.

Red: What are you doing?! I said I was going to be a vampire, and you were going to be a zombie!

Hiro: No, I said I was going to be a vampire and YOU were going to be a zombie.

A suit of armor walks up to them. The armor is similar in appearance to Darrens.

???: Stop your bickering, you both look good.

Red: Who’s in there?

The armor lifts its arm and pushes up the metal visor on the helmet, revealing Ame below.

Hiro: Ame?!

Red: That masked mage costume is amazing! It’s really realistic!

Ame: I know right! I had it specially made!

Elias: Yeah, It’s pretty good.

Elias tunes in, and they look over at him. He is standing, with his back resting on the wall. Another boy with black hair does the same right next to him. He doesn’t seem to be wearing a costume.

Red: Uh, what are you supposed to be?

Elias: Can’t you tell? I always wear black shirts. And right now I’m wearing a white shirt.

Red: R-right.

Red looks at the kid next to him.

Red: And what are you supposed to be?

The kid lifts his head, his face painted a pale skin tone, with black eye shadow that makes it look like he has bags under his eyes.

???: Me?

Red recognizes the voice, squinting and trying to identify. He suddenly recoils upon recognition.

Red: SOLE?! Y-your hairs black?!

Sole: Yah, I dyed it.

Red: What are you supposed to be?

Sole: Elias.

Red, Ame, and Hiro begin to look back and forth at the two of them, then nod in agreeance.

Red: Y’know, pretty good, pretty good.

Coming from the hallway, they spot Luna, though it took a few seconds to recognize her. She is wearing tight blue jeans, with a black leather jacket. The jacket is adorned with spikes and has the word ‘Bad’ embroidered on the back. Her hair is tied up in a bun, with some of the hair hanging loose and falling to about shoulder length. She is also wearing a black pair of sunglasses. Next to her is Tilda wearing a fancy pink princess dress. Luna walks over to the group.

Hiro: I like the costume, it’s pretty badass!

Luna: Thanks haha.

Sole: Yah, where did you get the jacket from?

Luna: Oh, I bought the jacket in the market and embroidered it my self-

She pauses slightly before getting a face of shock.

Luna: Sole?! Why is your hair black?!

Everyone but Elias: He’s dressed up as Elias.

Luna looks at Sole, then Elias, then back again.

Luna: Y’know, that’s pretty good.

Ryan: I agree, It is a good costume of Elias.

Everyone jumps at the sudden appearance of Ryan. They sigh and look over at him, then become absolutely horrified. Hiro jumps into Red’s arm out of instinctual fear. One cannot describe Ryan’s costume as anything other than maddening. It’s so fearful and complex they can hardly comprehend what they are looking at.

Ryan: Goodbye.

He walks away, everyone’s heart rates return to normal. Suddenly, Romeo slides in, wearing a clean and sleek white suit, with a rose in his mouth. Ame quickly pulls down the visor.

Romeo: Have any of you seen my Amelia?

Luna: Uhhh, no?

Romeo: Ah, what a shame.

Luna: What are you supposed to be?

Romeo: A love-struck man, caught in the web of forbidden love-

Romeo says, ranting for another 3-4 minutes before being cut off.

Master: Ok! Now that everyone is here and ready, let the Elune Halloween festivities begin!

The crowd roars.

Master: First, I will pull two names out of a hat. Those will be your teams.

He reaches down and begins to pull names and list them off.

Master: Red and Hiro!

They high five.

Master: Ryan and Darren! Luna and Tilda! Amelia and Romeo! And lastly, Elias and Sole!

Amelia and Elias’s heads sink in despair.

Master: The first challenge will be pumpkin carving! We will issue you all a pumpkin and knife. We will give you one hour to complete it!

Pumpkins are brought out and given to everyone. They begin to carve.

Sole: I- don’t know how to carve a pumpkin.

Elias: Let me handle it then.

Elias grabs the knife and begins to intricately carve the pumpkin. An hour later, all the pumpkins are done. They place them in a row for judging. Luna and Tildas look like a generic old jack o’ lantern. Amelia and Romeo’s is interesting, to say the least. It has Romeo with incredible detail, with added muscle mass to make it almost look like a Greek statue. And next to it is a poorly drawn stick figure. Sole and Elias’s is a masterpiece, depicting an incredible battle between a rogue-like character and a knight wielding a great sword. Lastly, Red and Hiro’s looks like a poorly drawn, rather derpy smiley face. While the judges look over the pieces, Elias sits there with a smug look on his face.

Master: The judges have decided! And the winner is…

Elias is anticipating his name to be called.

Master: Red and Hiro! They gain one point!

A wave of pain rushes through Elias, all that effort for nothing.

Master: Now for the second round, choose one person to participate in a race, and the other a costume judging!

Red: I’ll race

Hiro: I’ll race

A spark lights in both of their eyes. They begin to furiously rock paper scissor shoot. Eventually, Hiro comes out on top. They set out the field.

Master: Here’s the races twist. We will wrap you up like mummies, and you have to run with it!

Everyone gets wrapped up in bandages, tying their legs together. Hiro begins to hop forward, attempting to win. But suddenly, Sole begins to grow in size. He crouches, leans forward, and jumps. The sheer force of his jump carries him to the end. Everyone watched in shock as he rolled across the finish line. Over in the costume contest, Tilda’s costume won.

Master: OK! Sole and Elias have one point, Luna and Tilda have one point, and Red and Hiro have one point. Our next competition is… Pumpkin throwing!

Everyone lines up outside of town. Sole activates his ability, making him stronger. He throws the pumpkin incredibly far.

Hiro: How. How am I even supposed to compete with that?!

Red: Yeah. I dunno.

Suddenly the clanging of armor is heard. Everyone shifts to see it. Darren was up next. Darren was wearing his normal armor, just without the arms and shoulders pieces. On the front of his armor, it’s a painted depiction of a popular kids comic book in this world “Stacy’s dad”. He grabbed the pumpkin, and his arm begins to glow pure white. He gets in a stance and twisted his whole body into it. With incredible force, the pumpkin launches into orbit. The pumpkin completely vanishes from sight. Needless to say, Darren won.

Master: It looks like we have a four-way tie. So to settle this, we will be doing… A PUMPKIN PIE EATING CHALLENGE.

The crowd claps in excitement.

Master: Ok, your first-person up can eat as much as they can, then swap to the next person. You will have an hour. GO!

Hiro, Tilda, Ryan, and Elias begin to consume copious amounts of pie. Tilda taps our first, and Luna comes in. Not long after, Elias and Ryan tap out. Darren begins to scarf down a lot of pie. Hiro looks back at Red in despair.

Hiro: I… cant go on.

Red: You did good man. You did good.

Hiro gets up, and Red sits down.

Red: I have honed this technique. Most think this is only for fighting. But no. It has another use.

Red’s fist begins to glow red.

Red: PERFECTED DRAGON FIST FEAST!

The dragons form and begin to consume the pies at an incredible pace. As the clock counts down, it’s Darren vs The dragons. Neck and neck, they eat the pies. 3. 2. 1.

Master: Alright that’s it! This year Elune Halloween champions are… RED AND HIRO

The crowd roars, Red and Hiro fist bump. To end off the day, they bring out a bunch of good food for a feast at the end of the night. All the participants look at the food in fear, revolted by the sight of food. They party into the night. As soon as Red and Hiro recovered from the food, Ame and Luna come out in black and orange kimonos.

Luna: Are you guys ready?

Red: For what?

Ame: Termina’s Halloween festival. It starts in two hours and we have to get there quickly.

Red: Oh, I completely forgot about that. Let me go get ready.

Hiro: Yeah.

As they begin to leave, Sole and Elias come out, in a yellow yukata and black yukata, respectively. Red and Hiro get dressed and head out. They all get in a cart and leave.
