Announcer: Well that was a scary arcana! But since Absko is restrained and unable to battle, Fang is the winner! Lastly, for our last match-up. This is today’s most anticipated matchup, featuring Maskrah’s Jural, who is rumored to be the most favored to win the whole thing! His opponent is Leo, who wasn’t spoken about until late, is rumored to be Academies trump card in this tournament, being trained to win!
-Chapter 109-
Leo is walking through the halls to the entrance and sees an older man awaiting his arrival. The older man has a crooked smile and hands Leo, a metal collar with a blue gem.
Older man: Here kid. It will boost your imagination and your arcana. I made it especially for you.
Leo grabs the item and looks at it, a clear annoyance in his eyes. A red mass bubbles from his hand around the brace and melts it down to molten metal. The old man’s eyes widen in disbelief and anger.
Older man: You little shit!
Leo: I don’t need your shitty ass magic items to win. I will never use anything made by you, father.
Leo walks into the battlefield, followed by Jural. Jural waves to the crowd with a smile, basking in their praise. They get into their positions.
Announcer: 3!
Leo: I apologize.
Announcer: 2!
Jural: For what?
Announcer: 1!
Leo: …
Announcer: Go!
Jural swings his arms to his sides, intense fire circles around him with the power of a supernova. But before he could do anything, Leo takes one step forward. His body boils up with searing red ooze. With one step, the ooze expands indefinitely around the battlefield, causing over half to be enveloped in its mass, it crawls up the walls, just falling shy of reaching the crowd. Jural’s head is the only thing visible in the mass of ooze. Jural’s face in shock, fear, and disbelief. Jural starts to feel a burning sensation from the ooze. Leo lifts a vial of green ooze and throws it at the red ooze. The vial breaks, and as the two oozes touch, the red shifts to green, easing the burning feeling. Leo sighs.

Leo: As I said earlier, I apologize. I took my anger out on you.
Jural’s breathing is staggered.
Jural: W-who is this guy?!
Announcer: I- I am at a loss for words! I was expecting a powerful awestriking match but that was completely one-sided!
The crowd is mostly silent, apart from the murmuring.
Announcer: I proclaim Leo as the winner!
The crowd begins to break the silence and applause in an uproar.
Announcer: And thus concludes the first round of the tournament! The second round will begin tomorrow bright and early! Everyone please leave in an orderly fashion, and pick up merchandise on your way out! Everyone, have a nice evening!
